Called at 5:40 p.m. Didn't answer after numerous "hellos?" on my part. Then finally a taped response said "goodbye" and hung up on me. That was very irritating. Does anyone know who this is?

On the Federal Do Not Call List - They called trying to sell some debt consolidation.
Kept on - trying to sell me. Didn't want to disclose how I could get more information on the company.

Claimed to be with First Merit (?) for Mortgage Loan. Told her that I was not interested and informed her that I was on the Do Not Call List and told her to take me off her call list. She then became pushy and rude. I had to hang up on her.

800-897-7777 continues to call from time to time and gets the automatic responder. Never says a word, but gives me about a minute to lift the receiver anyway. Legitimate callers would leave a message.
