The FTC doesn't really do anything.  They just collect the complaints.  Call your state's Attorney General, Consumer Protection and file a complaint there, also.
The Automotive Warranty Advisors are calling my 70 year old aunt from a number in Nevada: 702-520-1387 demanding $8000 because she agreed to purchase the warranty and has never made any payments.  They take messages using the name "Brooks Partners."

Didn't get a call.  I received a snail-mail envelope with a return address of:

EWC
6055 Mexico Rd.
St. Peters MO 63376

It is a letter for extending my auto warrantee which by the way expired four years ago.  The authors suggest that I call the number 800-816-1204.

It further says that they are not affiliated with a manufacturer but is administered by WARRANTEE AMERICA LLC

I've been scam by extended auto warranty...paid them in full....When I called to get information on how to file a claim...I was told my warranty wasnt with their company...eventhough i've spoken with someone from that number. Which is no longer in service, but they're still advertising using 8008051012. The correct number to the company is 18008161204. Give them a call...see how good your warranty is...  I figure when I finish blogging about this company....They will lose more than I was scammed out off.

They have their Automatic phone systems dialing me at least once a week for the last 5 months.  I have selected 2 - to be dropped from their call list, and I have selected 1 to speak with a rep to ask to be removed...but to no avail.  The Reps are rude and will barely give you the name of the company but one Rep today finally told me that the company was Extended Auto Warranty I told him to remove me and he hung up on me....How do I get off this call list......Isn't some Attorney General's office going to look into this...as well as the FTC.  I guess I have to look up how to file a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General's office.  This is ridiculous.

My elderly aunt received a call from this number offering an extended warranty through "Ford".  Unfortunately, she paid the entire $2,500 they asked for up front.  Having just found about this, and googling the 800 number, I found this website.  Hopefully, she will be able to recover some of her money.  The number she was given to call back was (800) 905-1012, I've called it and it rings but no one answers.  BEWARE!!!

Actually I received a letter from this company, 1-800-771-7251, claming to be afiliated with GM.  I had bought a Chevy SUV few months back and they claimed to be a GM extended warranty company.  I got duped and tried to call the number they gave me after I gave them my information (1-800-905-1012).  I never got a hold of the company but was told to leave a message.  No return call, big shocker there.  I had to go to the bank and cancel all my account and reopen new ones, because I couldn't get a human to be able to cancel whatever it is I bought from them.

My mother has been called relentlessly by this number.
She is 82 years old and finally relented due to the
constant harassment. She gave them her credit card number
and they set her up on the easy pay plan----$600.00 down
and $100.00 per month for the next 12 months. Thats a total
of $1800.00 to "warranty" a car that cost less than $1500.00
But...she had the good sense to call her credit card company
afterward and cancel the purchase and have them not allow
the transaction to go through

This company has harrassed an 86 year old friend of ours and was finally successful in tapping into his checking account via the internet and taking $2300.00.  The dealership where he purchased the car was unfamiliar with this company - Extended Auto Warranty.  We are trying to recover his money, and should be successful.  However, the stress and the inconvenience weigh on a person of that age.  This should really be on the edge of illegal.

This company has harrassed me by phone every day for months, leaving messages and calling several times a day.  When I asked for the phone number and name of company, I was given 800-905-1012, Extend Auto Warranty and a website of  www.dealerservices.org.  After looking up this info on the web, the website does not match the organization, and there is no information to connect this organization to the name or website.  I was taken off the do not call registry and re-registered 1-3-08 so I am waiting 31 days to file a complaint with the FTC and the no not call registry.  I AM TIRED OF BEING HARASSED AFTER BEGGING THEM TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR CALLING LIST.
