We get calls from this number nearly every day. They hang up on us as soon as we answer. Such a nuisance!!
Ban telemarketing 2011-06-06 20:58:41 Unknown
They are calling me everyday, sometimes twice a day, and never leave a message. My number is on the DNC list, so they are violating the law. So what else is new with telemarketers. Telemarketer is just another word for criminal.
telemarketers are criminals 2011-06-06 20:58:41 Unknown
They keep calling my number, which is on the DNC list. They are criminals.
How do you stop them 2011-06-06 20:58:41 Unknown
Same problem, they call 2 or 3 times a day.
We are on the DNC List too. How do you stop them?
Maybe I'll call them 2 or 3 times a day in return & hang up on them!
Bob 2011-06-06 20:58:41 Unknown
It,s bank of america. If you call it you can have them remove your number from their list. Also, DNC lists do not apply to business listings.

I received at least 2 calls per day from the same number. When I answer the phone, they hang up. Very annoying
Susan Ward 2008-06-30 16:43:23 Unknown
I never answer it because I don't recognize the number, but they still keep calling!
Jack 2008-06-19 22:54:35 Unknown
Hang up. Rude.
KCJ 2008-06-17 03:53:18 Unknown
Glad to see I'm not the only one. They call everyday. I am also on the DO NOT CALL list. I don't know if there is a person actually calling me or if it is an automated system calling because I never hear a voice. I pick up, they (or it) hang up. I'm so sick of it because the call usually happens at dinner time. Lately, I just don't pick up.
Peggy 2008-06-14 18:48:13 Unknown
Answered the phone - said Hello twice. A man's voice said, "May I speak with Peggy?" I said, "This is Peggy." Click, the man hung up the phone.
What possible reason could there be for such stupid behavior? Someone please explain it to me.
I don't have caller ID, I paid to find out who called. *69

800-931-6384 on caller ID. Lady asks for owner or financial decision maker of "the business" Does not give our company's name. The women was arrogant and very secretive about what she wanted with "the business" I told her they were not available. She again asked if someone was available to make financial decisions. I once again said No. She said o.k. I will call back later. I told her she needed to leave a message. She said she was calling from B of A. Gave # 1-800-892-3219. I looked up number on the internet and it comes back to North Shore Bank Platinum Master Cards. This is awful fishy. I think this may be a scam.

Heavy breathing and a womans voice talking in the background
that's it?
My alarm bells went off so I didn't answer; they had to
spend money to leave their heavy breathing on my answering machine.
First I thought, gee maybe they need to dial 911..
then I decided it was a practical joke, and near the end
I thought, it was more sinister than just a joke.

Called the number back 800-931-6384 and received telepromt optout for Bank of America. All bet the number is not BofA. I called it back and although it thanked me for call ing BofA insurance products, and gave me the ability to opt out the number, I can bet it's a third party telemarkting company that identified my number when I called back the (800) number. I went ahead and filed an FCC complaint as my numbers are on the nationa do not call list.

We're also on the national do-not-call list and get frequent calls from this number. I called it back today and the recording said to enter our phone number if we wanted to be placed on their do-not-call list. Add this to the scores of other reasons I am leaving Bank of America.

Despite I am on the Do Not Call List they call several times a day. I'm so annoyed that I don't answer. They wait until they get the voice mail but don't leave any message. How could we be all rid of these calls?
Jon 2008-05-07 14:27:59 Unknown
Calls EVERY day (even on Christmas!) - 7 days a week sometimes as many as 5 or 6 times a day. Very annoying. Thank goodness for caller ID.

After repeated hangup calls this afternoon I got a live human who denied the hangups. After giving him the full benefit of my opinion he advised me that he is a Christian and not to be spoken to in that manner.

Rc'd one of these calls at a dinner party. Left the room so I could answer the call, and as soon as I spoke, they hung up. I agree with most of the other posts. Very annoying.

All my house, home office and cell #'s are on the national do not call list.
I got this call picked up the phone to silence while the computer switched the call to an agent. I said hello, hello, HELLO loudly. A women finally gets on and says "you dont have to yell" i said "please identify youself and tell me what company you are from" and "what is the purpose of your call" she says can i just speak to your wife. I say "I'll decide whether to bother my wife after I find out the purpose of your call" she says " it's bank of america about and account" i say "we dont need an account" and hang up. If you really want to put the screws to these idiot telemarketers just get yourself an air horn and blast it into the phone once you are sure they are listening....

Fuzzy 2008-04-24 14:30:41 Unknown
This number calls our office constantly and always hangs up when we answer. ESAD, nuisance pig-f'ers!!
LarryG 2008-04-16 22:19:52 Unknown
I'm getting the same annoying calls with no voice message left.
Today, 4-16-08, I had a quick recall under "unknown", seemed strange.
What a pain.

Telemarketer for Bank of America.
Called 5 days in a row, all abandoned calls.
Finally today they announce who they were so I ask for the supervisor to inform them of the rule on abandoned calls. If you want these people to stop you need to report them.

Same as Brad, use VOIP for my business at home. Bank of America is my bank. The message was 32 secs of dead air.
Brad 2008-04-07 14:14:59 Unknown
Thanks for the posts and info. Got my first call from that number today - 12 second voice message of dead air. I have a VOIP phone that I use mostly for a home business, but no other business (except perhaps Bank of America) knows that it's my number.

they hang up. everyone at our business is very annoyed at these calls when trying to deal with customers. do not owe anything so do not know why we receive calls from this number. not interested in any new services either.

Thanx for the many reports on the 1-800-931-6384 hang-up bandit! Let's hope the fraud-unit catches up with them and nips'm in the butt.

lady called and asked for my boss by name; he was on another line so I asked who was calling; she said her name was Amy Gray with Bank of America; I put her on hold to wait for my boss to get off the other line; she hung up a short time later
Belle 2008-04-01 21:36:04 Unknown
Called and asked for my dad, but sounded very hesitant and unprofessional (we're an at home business, I guess maybe she was thrown by that?) - identified herself as calling from Bank of America RE "business opportunity" - I said no thanks, and that's that. But she sounded so completely amateur, I got a little suspicious, and here I am!
