Yes, this call was from Land's End. I missed the call, but since I actually have an open order with them that has an issue, I suspect it was about that. So, not always a telemarketing call. Sometimes you actually want to hear from them! :)

It's 8 pm here and Lands End is calling with some special offer because I'm such a good customer?? I chewed her out and said the best way to thank me was to NOT CALL ME. As noted by Timur, the least they can do to be courteous is put the company name in for the Caller ID. And I would add, call during normal business hours (local time).
Normally I wouldn't have answered, but for some reason I thought the 800 number might actually be legit.
Timur 2012-02-23 01:24:27 Unknown
My caller ID says this:
800 Service, Unknown City, Unknown State (800) 935-2743
If Lands End really wanted to be courteous, they would put the business name into the Caller ID information.

It was Lands End. Earlier this week they called and left no message. Today they called and left a message with a special promo code for August.
Rugger 2011-06-06 20:58:43 Unknown
Land's End called to offer some promotional code. I asked them if they would simply email in the future and they said they would. If only it were this easy to get rid of the spam calls.

Is your cell# for the same state you live in? For example do you have a cell for florida but now live in calif. 3 hour time zone difference. They usually call based on area code vs your mailing address.

Lands End called me at 6 am and woke me out of a sound sleep. What kind of customer service is that? I called them back at a more civliized hour as I have a current order with them, and they said there's nothing wrong with my order, they were probably just calling to see if I was happy with my experience. Um...how happy would YOU be if someone called you at 6 am and woke you up for absolutely no good reason whatsoever?
I'm refusing delivery on the order and I'm not shopping with them any longer.
Lesley 2011-06-06 20:58:43 Unknown
got a disconnected call when answered
Mary 2011-06-06 20:58:43 Unknown
It is definitely Lands End calling...they just left a message. The first time they called they did not.

YES YOU CAN find fault with a company, or anyone, who makes UNSOLICITED calls. This business practice has grown to epidemic proportions. I get 1-5 calls per day, EVERYDAY - and NONE of them are appreciated. Some are autodial fax machines... we don't even have a fax machine connected to our landline! I mean really, would you want to buy something from a company that wakes you up at 4AM beeping into a phone??? What a moronic business model! Then there's the bogus collection agency scams. They buy bad debt (beyond statutes of limitation) and try to coerce you into admitting its yours. Most times they've got the wrong person! If/when they do find the right sap, if they admit its theirs, the clock starts ticking again and they can drag you into court for a judgement. THAT is why they are so aggressive, nasty and mean. These people are worms, and businesses so desperate they broadcast faxes, regardless of even finding a fax connected at the other end, need to be stopped.
I say next time you get harrassed this way, find out where the business is loacted, go there late at night, and BURN IT TO THE GROUND!

It's Land's End. Usually they call current customers to offer them deals such as free shipping and/or a discount on purchases. Yes, it's a sales call. But sometimes it comes in handy, like this time last winter when I needed a sweater, and conveniently, Land's End "cold called" me, and told me about a discount and free shipping offer, so I got a good sweater at a very good price with no shipping charges. Hey, it's not all bad. You can't blame a company for trying, what with the crummy economy.

Phone call from Land's End. I immediately hung up (I have no current business with them) so I don't know the purpose of the call. Adding it to my Google Voice blacklist anyway.
kat 2011-05-10 20:59:44 Unknown
actually a sign of good customer service, which is rare these days.

Lands end with presidents day coupon code.
Bash 2011-02-15 18:48:20 Unknown
They called my cell, went to voicemail, 2 seconds in they hung up. I don't know why I'd be receiving calls from them considering I've never even heard of them.

Two 9am calls, one on a Saturday following a purchase I made from Lands End. I think I'm done doing business with this company.

Called my cell. Said they were calling customers. At that point I interrupted, told him I don't deal with telemarketers, and hung up.
Nora 2010-12-02 18:12:15 Unknown
Lands End called me AT SIX O'CLOCK THIS MORNING to see if I was happy with my experience...are they freaking kidding me? AT SIX AM??? Well, gee, what do they think the answer to that question is NOW??
Not happy AT ALL. Refusing delivery on purchase as soon as it arrives and calling my credit card company to reverse charges.
Waking people up at the crack of dawn to find out if their shopping experience was "happy" is a complete violation of my privacy. Maybe they're in cahoots with the TSA. Next thing you know, they'll be calling to ask if they can grope your underage children.
Lori 2010-11-03 23:15:23 Unknown
Land's End for me too. I answered and they said "This is Land's End. Is this _______________?". I said "Yes, and we're not interested". She said "Thank you" and we hung up. No problems at all.

Calling our home, didn't take the call. It is an unsolicited call to a home phone that is on the DO NOT CALL LIST (MISSOURI and the NATIONAL LISTS).
I'm annoyed, enough that I would prefer to shop from another catalogue as they call constantly, but never leave a message.
Jen 2010-10-18 20:04:32 Unknown
I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. But I just placed an order from Land's End about an hour before the call so from the previous posts, I'm guessing that's who it was.

Received a call on my cell phone. Caller identified herself as Lands' End with a football promotion code for their website. I have never purchased anything from them.

LAND'S END 800-935-2743, thanking me for my recent mail order purchase. A very kind and considerate women, which can be a rare find in these days! Use BEACH & Pin # 2323.
MamaVB 2010-08-05 21:33:24 Unknown
Yup, it was Lands End calling with a special promo code to use in August. First time they called, no one left a message this week. They called back today and this time left a message.
