it's 800-936-4148 not 310

This number keeps calling my home. When I answered, I get this recording "This is a courtesy call.....for me to call this toll line 1 800 936 4148."

Does anyone know who this may be?

Does not leave a name of the company.

Keeps calling leaves no message, The ID says US CELLULAR 15633808884

apparently a company called detax agency. debt consolidator?

called from the 563 number to my cell, then left the 800 number. how do we stop this crap. i owe no debts.

Calls me everyday, sometimes twice a day and does not leave a message. This has been happening for 2 months now.

If you have an old debt, this is probably one of those companies.  Do not call back, by calling back, you are saying that you know about a debt and the "statute of limitations" starts all over again.

I received a call on 7/29/09 from 563-380-8884 and when I answered the recording said to call 800-936-4148.  I called the toll free number and another recording stated that this was Detex Agency, an attempt to collect a debt.

I got a call from 1-800-936-4148 too and it also said the samething.

I got a recorded phone message to call 1-800-936-4148 that said someone at my residence had important business with this phone number.  I tried calling it and it just comes up busy.  They don't say who it is.

says this is a courtesy call with the receipent @ this phone.
