Just got the same call used a name of Jen Sawyer same $100.00 gas card, 2 air Canada tickets and a coupon booklet same info to call them back with. All I needed to do is pay $1.95 shipping and then she asked me how was I going to pay. Plus the expiration date on the card. Hold up I said. Visa/Debit redemption why did u ask me for Mastercard# . told them I had to go and hung up the phone.

I received a call today from an unknown number, with a very noisy background. American accented woman (employee id #50107325) offering a free "diamond watch" and 24 months free for 3 magazine subscriptions of any choice and 3 more for the " special visa customer fee" of 3.99 a month. I was also "eligible" for the $25,000 draw. She gave me one call back number, 1-(800) 944-8424, if there were any problems with the magazine service. Her "supervisor" called me back 10 minutes later. She knew my address, confirmed my credit card and expiration date, and even asked my occupation, to which I said student. It wasn't until reading this post that I realized that she has asked me the answers to my security questions on my bank account! Changed them immediately!!! I also realized that she had more information on me when she asked about my employment, which I decided to answer with my recent second job, and then proceeded to ask about the other one that I never mentioned! Calling my bank to inform them about the possible compromise of my credit card information. Thank you to everyone for your posts!

I fell for this stupid scam. Didn't think it was until I read all of your reports. Called my credit card company and got them to cancel. Good news is that the transaction didn't go through yet.

Too good to be true, but on the edge of believe-ability for some folks.

Told me her name was Karrie Smith, even spelled it out, yeah right, with a very strong Indian accent.

Just got the same call from the same people.....sounds sooo good, as they said they had coupons for Hawaii and we were planning on going there.....still. due to the information that is out in the media about scams, I didn't give her anything....glad I checked out on this site....thanks for reassuring me, that I didn't throw away 50% of the costs for my Hawaii trip.

Just received same call saying I won a gas card and airline tickets . Asked how I wanted to pay the 1.95  for shipping since it was coming all the way from Montreal and I lived in  P.E.I  . I told them COD they said they couldn't except that and I said fine take my phone number off your calling list. oh and supervisors num is 18009448210 just incase I have any questions lol

I had the same thing happen to me today. A lady from quebec called to say that I have won a 100 dollar petro card and two free airline tickets.ly had to pat 1.99 shipping charge but I could also use a gift card to claim the prize.I did not give them my debit card or a gift card. I think it's a scam. I have the 1800 944-8424 customer care number.

I got the same call as described by others: 000-0000 # called, said I'd won a $100 gift card and airline tix. I said, I'd have to check this out with Visa and she said, 'sure, I'll give you my name (Charlie Myer) Supervisor id# 221259; telephone # 1-800-944-8482, and 1-800-944-8210. Caller said she was from Quebec.
When I googled the number, it showed this site and some other site offering some deal that also sounded like a total scam. We're also on the Do Not Call list, so they're in violation there, as well, as only charities and political parties may call once you get on the list.

I got the same call but I don't own a credit card but they knew my address.
She said I can use her credit card info for the recording though... So am I safe since they don't really have any info on my bank?
I was planning to call them back to cancel it after waiting a few days to see If I really did get some kind of free s***.
Or is letting them ship me something dangerous still even without info on my bank?

Hey I have the similar problem I received this call last night by the name Diane Soul. She had asked me the same question. Even would give me 50% discount for something. Also asked me do I shop at Wal Mart? I bet it's a scam.

Also, forgot to mention, I know they have my address on file since I received a postcard last week with this number on it, telling me to call to redeem my prize.

Same thing just happened to me.. She used my nickname, not my legal name which appears on all my accounts, when she called. Knew right away it was a scam, but let her do her thing and then told her where to go. She "couldn't tell me" when I asked which account, which company. Ha! Caller ID was also mish mash, but she gave me this number when I asked for a call back number, and told me she was located in St. Catherine's, ON. I feel like calling back and having a fun time with them, since my 2 1/2 year old really likes to talk on the phone.

'Jill Wilson' called with the same offers of $100.00 gas card and 50% off shopping at various places including Walmart, Shopper's Drug Mart, Canadian Tire, etc. with 1.95 s&h fee.   When she mentioned the 14 days to cancel I knew something was very wrong.  Never got to the point of asking for my cc.  She became agitated when questioned the 14 day cancelation period and hung up on me.  She did have my correct name and address.  Name on phone came up as V1211223809016 with a phone number of 1-000-000-0000.  They have called at least 4 times in the past 3 days before i answered.

Just got off the phone with them as well-had my exact address, and of cousre wanted my cc number. I of course said no way, then she tells me that the most critical part of the card for security reasons was the 3 digits on the back! Her name was Hazel Carter, very anglo name, but she had an accent so thick I could barely understand her.

I had one of theses calls. My son looked up the number on the Internet and found that it was a scam and I hung up and they had the nerve to call me four times back. Finally my son answered the phone and told them if she kept calling we he would report it to the police and she stopped calling. I almost did a stupid thing, they had everything except mt three digit number on the back so I am lucky my son stopped me from making a big mistake.

i also recieved the same kind of call offering to send 100 dollars for gas and grocery and asked to give me credit card detaill for s and h fee of 1.95 dollar. i told of not having right now then she gave me this no she has my address and name . i think it is a scam and googled this no and find lot of same stories and complaints. how can we take legal action against these people

Just got a call from them... Same Redemption Program crap... Same story about $100 of gas... Only pay $1.95 for shipping if I declined the membership after the 14 day trial. Membership is $17.83 per month...They did have my shipping address correct though... She didn't ask for my credit card number. I hope she didn?t have it on file and just wanted to verify my address!!! She said to think about the offer and she would call back tomorrow...

I told them if they were with the credit card company they would have my credit card info, since they didnt, then they are not ligit and they were a scam!   Then they called me back the very next day!  even the same lady!   There has to be a way of stopping these types of people!

Caller identified herself as Margaret Davis and gave me "Supervisor ID Number" to validate herself.  Told me I had been granted a $100.00 gas card to Petro Canada and a discount coupon book to Walmart because I am such a good customer to Mastercard.  The package would only cost me $1.95 to be mailed to me.  Don't know how they got my number at work but at least they do not have my home number.  They also did not have my complete mailing address.  The caller ID showed up a "V1103051928016" and the number was 000-000-0000.  It sounded like they were using Skype?  I hung up before they had a chance to ask for a credit card number.

Got the call from the same number twice from 1-0000000000 with two different person who told me about how i win a free flight and $100 worth of petrol coupon and after 13min of talking she ask me for my credit card number. This is the first time something like this have happen to me, so i did a bit of research and found out that it was a scam call, so i give them some random number. If anyone one else have been call by the same or similar number or give you the customer care number 1-800-944-8424 than it is 100% scam call. Contact your bank immediately if you given then your credit card number and your bank should send a new card to you.

Got a call from 1-0000000 on my cell. Lady said i had accumulated alot of points on my visa, and that i had been randomly selected as a 100$ gas card winner. 20 mins later she had asked for a credit/debit card number. The 1.95$ was a shipping fee. I said ill pay it when the package gets to my door, she said it wasnt protocol. I hung up. I then called the number 1800944 number back. Got a man the first time who said it must have been one of thier telemarketers. Gave the ext number i had, he didnt have a clue as to what i was talking about. Total scam....

Got the same call from Redemption Centre.  Offered a package to be sent if we paid $1.95 shipping.  Asked how we wanted to pay for shipping.  Told them we would pay with debit card.  They asked for the expiry number.  Said there wasnt one.  Asked what number it started with a 4 or 5.  Then we hung up.  She called right back asking if we wished to claim the prize.  We said no.  She asked if we shopped at Walmart.  duh!  who doesnt.  When asked who she works for she just said for visa mastercard.  It was very noisy in the background.  

I got the same call on my cell phone........and wanted to record me giving my credit card numbers.........i called my credit card company and gave them all the info that this Alex woman gave me they said it was a scam.......

I had the exact same thing happen except the call came from an "unknown number" but the woman who identified herself as Joyce Ison from the Redemption Department also provided me with the Customer Service number of 1-800-944-8424.  When she asked me to confirm my credit card details, I told her to go ahead and tell me what she had.  She said that because of privacy reasons that she could not  provide that to me, so I told her that for the same reasons, I'm not giving out my credit card number to anyone who has called me.  I hung up on her and then I got a call back from her Supervisor who also identified herself by name and asked me what the problem was.  She was calling from 416-360-8879, another number which has been reported as a scam number.  Beware!!!

They called and heraste my twelve year old daughter to get her the three digits on the back of her mothers credit card. Look out.

GOT SAME CALL AS ABOVE  BUT ALSO SEEMED FISHY.  TALKED FOR 15 MINUTES AND WHEN SHE REQUESTED A CREDIT CARD I NEW IT WAS A SCAM.

Scammer claiming I have won petro canada card and free flights called from this number because I use a credit and debit card so I am a preferred customer. Very fishy sounding. Told her sounded like a scam and she became very evasive. Gave this number when I asked where she was calling from. Stated she was a Superviser named Jackie Hudson from redemption center. Do not fall for this scam!!
