Actually they say they're calling "...on behalf of the State of Michigan.." instead of from the State, a dead giveaway it's a typical collector trying to sound official. Ask them where they're calling from, by law they're supposed to tell you the name of the collection company. I've reported these folks to the state A.G. before and got an apology letter saying I wasn't the [my name] they were stalking.

Does anybody know how to find out who these A**holes are that keep calling me? This number calls me at least once a week. Isn't there anything we can do about these calls? They will not leave a message on my answering machine, getting really tired of all of this. I had my number changed, and it is UNLISTED because of "Rachel" from Card Services Plus. I am still getting calls from telemarketers and even from Rachel from Card Services Plus. Can't we do a class action law suit and sue these people?

This number belongs to a collection agency that handles delinquent taxes owed to the state of Michigan. I know this from personal experience (tax preparer messed up paperwork, state thinks I owe). The number was given to me by the Michigan Department of Treasury's Collection Division.

Claim to be from the state of Micihgan regarding a "personal business matter" then asks for a person I never heard of.
Very persistent and will spoof or block their caller ID in order to bypass any blocks put on their number.

Stupid, stupid, stupid clerical workers at the state of michigan who dont know what the f they are doing, robo calling all sorts of numbers "in search of" people they can't find. Why dont' these people get a real, productive job insead of being leaches on society? Maybe because they are too stupid to be hired by anyone but a blood sucking state government. Don't answer, it will just encourage them.
