Thanks.  My husband just got a message from this number but couldn't remember exactly what they said and he deleted it...he said the last 4 numbers were our CitiBank card.  I'm sure it was the same as your experience.  Thanks so much for clarifying for me.

I was at the store and accidentally answered a call from this number since I wasn't paying attention. The recording said that they were CitiBank which made sense because they call me all the time to verify large purchases as part of my protection program. They listed the last four digits of my credit card. I stayed on the line and was asked for my full name and zip code. I gave this to them even though it took forever for the guy to get the spelling and numbers right--which should have been the first indicator. They then asked for my full credit card number, which I claimed I did not have in front of me. I asked if I could simply use other ways of verification (mother's maiden name, SSN) which I know my credit card companies allow as verification. He became rude and told me that they needed the entire credit card number in order to offer me the $500 (if 8 payments to my card were made on time). I called the number back and it stated correctly who it was this time (I was lied to on the first call) the message said, "You have reached The Payment Partner Program Enrollment Protection Center". Well, no card I know of just offers cardmembers $500 for making payments on time. This is a complete scam and CitiBank has no knowledge of it. Do not give these people any personal information.

Called my cell phone, no message
