This # isn't even in the USA I don't think.
Everybody I know got a call from Ms. Perez yesterday, including me at my place of business.
There's all kinds of info on this bogus Burgess Law Firm all over the internet.

There's a webpage talking about Mr. Burgess being a scam artist, and that if you receive calls on behalf of this "law firm" to contact the New York Attorney General's grievance  committee at 716-845-3630.

I tried to call back this 800 # and got a message stating that my phone wasn't set up to make this call, so it must be out of the US. There's info that says that they run an illegal office out of Canada.

I'm fixing to report them and then really try to piss'em off when they call again!!

My credit score is through the roof and I ow nothing and got my first call today. Told them to fark off, and will continue to do so.

I have been getting calls from this same "law firm."  Have had people who I worked with almost 4 years ago telling me that the have called there as well on a phone line that no one in the office uses.  Have even had my ex husband (we have been divorced 8 years) tell me that they have called his home.  This is absurd!!!!

I had a call today from a girl named Danielle from Burgess.. Saying that before matters were escalated that i needed to call TODAY... What BS!

I live in NC, Some Woman Named Danielle called my Aunt and Uncle in Florida this morning.  I believe this to be part of a scam.  She told my Aunt that she was with Burgess Law Firm.  Consumers beware!

Actually I am a student & studying in USA. Last night I got a call from 800-976-0892 no. & the person was talking about some outstanding amount which I suppose to pay within the last morning. But the person was completely unknown to me & this money matter was also not related to me. The number is a law firm and they are practicing illegally.  If they call you again,  tell them you know they are practicing illegally and  they shouldn't bother you anymore.  Hopefully!  But, good luck. I searched them on the net and thats how I found out.  The name is Douglas Burgess.

Got a call.  Almost un-interpretable message, took me like 30 minutes just to figure out the number to call them.

Wanted verification of residence for a PREVIOUS owner of my house, who lost the house by not paying his federal housing loan.

Very nice when I called them, and seem to have cleared up the problem (removed my number from the file), but a very worrying call to have on the machine.

I have set up my modem to repeatedly   automatic dial there toll free number of a collection agency. they got hundreds of calls per day for a week. They eventually stop calling.

I received call from my aunt 02.28.08, she said you need to call this # 800-976-0892 x 16  ASAP regardin Civil Suet. Frist i never lived with my aunt or used her phone number for anything. The Lady told my aunt that i need to call her back in 78 hours. What should i do?

I just received the second call in a week on my cell phone with the voicemail from "The law office of...Burgess" for someone I do not even know. When I tried to call back the call would not go through after the 1st 3 number too.

I am shocked to see the posting above was just 21 minutes before me.  I will disregard the calls in the future too.

We have been receiving voicemails from "The law office of ....Burgess" for an ex-employee to return the call.  After the 5th call, I took the information down to call the office and let them know the employee no longer works here.  The call wouldn't go through after 1st 3 numbers in the phone number.  I looked the attorney up on line.  After typing in the phone number on a search I found this site.  I will ignore the call in the future.  Thanks.

How do you block this number on my cell phone.  These folks keep calling my Cell # and ask for some guy. To whomever starting posting this number on the internet THANKS for letting me know not to call them.

I just found out how to remove my self you can to by going up on the internet at www.donotcall.com and remove yourself from any and all solicitor's list.

We get numerous office voice mails weekly from this number.  The calls always come in after business hours, and the message says "This is an important message for Haimie regarding your debt."  We have NO CLUE who Haime is, but it sure isn't anyone in our office.  The message is automated.  I was in the office once, and answered the phone.  The automated message then said, "to speak to an operator, please hold".  After holding for several minutes (I wanted to talk to anyone about getting removed from this database), the recorded message tells me that all operators are busy and to leave a message.  I left a message alright!  What kind of nonsense is it to call someone to ask them to leave a message when the person called has no idea what they were called about to begin with!?!

I already paid to them to pay off my debt. If they take care of my debt, I do not care if they lied to me to make me pay. I want to make sure if they take care of debt or not. Please let me know. Thank you.

I answered a call around 7:36 pm  Wednesday, from 716-282-3300. The lady which name I dont recall ask for me, but with my maiden name.  When people call me by my maiden name, It is usually a telemarketing call.  So I said, "may I ask who is calling?" she said that she was calling from a law office and needed to talk to "me" about a civil case. I said you need to contact her after 9 p.m..  She said the offices would be closed by that time and she said to leave her a message. To call her at her toll free 1800-976-0892 number and that I needed to call her at her extension no  later than Friday noon or my case was going to go to the Miami Dade court for a civil suet!
So I went online and read all about this number and it states its a scam!!!!

A Ms.Crammer from a law firm left me a message with this number and extension 14. She claimed it was urgent; it was a part of a civil suit. She even gave me a case number.

Someone named Ms. Clark called my brother's house about a debt in my maiden name, giving me a deadline to call her by.  For the past 3 months I have been dealing with a merged credit profile with 2 other people!

Someone named Daniele was harrassing me about some sort of debt collection...not even my debt!  She was asking me to pay a debt for someone named Tabatha Jones.  I have never heard of anyone named Tabatha Jones.  When I told her that, she accused me of lying!
