They are still at it.  Don't take the calls.  Got the letter except my sponsors are Hess and Citgo.  They'll never hear from me but I bet legal for Hess and Citgo would give them a call.  They tend to work better than the govt folks.

We went to the presentation on 11/7/11 and experienced same as you did.  The forms have dates that are hand written over without being initialed, as well as a previous date that was not hand written over. One shows 11/3 another shows 11/7.  So there work is sloppy and maybe a loophole not to honor it. Can you give a little help in whether you send back the orange (5 1/2 X 8 1/2) form, do both parties have to initial that form, the top part of that form was not filled out, such as presentation time, Rep;, certificate #, names, gift, WP+? This Orange form has a disclaimer "In offering these discounted vacation packages, Global &CRI act only in the capacity as doner, (Global or CRI does not in any way fulfill any certificates. All certificates are fullfilled thru a third party Distributor.....   The other form states it requires payment of $299 per person for Port Charges and Proessing charges, all travel must be completed in one year on Carnval cruise line, form must be mailed within 21 days of date on form. I assume these charges are paid after you choose a departure date that has to be at least 90 days in advance after you receive travel request forms and traveling within 7 full days of a Federal Holiday is not permitted. Their form(s) must be sent back certified mail.

We received a postcard reading "in celebration of your birthday" and "We've been going crazy trying to contact you! You must respond within 48 hours!" The phone number on the card to call was; 1-888-824-0689 . We called, made reservations to attend a 90 minute lecture about purchasing airline tickets online cheap. After that we were suppose to receive two airline tickets to anywhere in the US. Plus a bonus gift of three day, 2 night hotel stay! The card read that the travel provider is:
Global Connections, Inc.
2000 Palm Beach, FL. 33409
A woman who was not nice, called yesterday to confirm the reservation. We didn't get to go because we worked overtime at last minute. Would love to find out what the scam was.

My husband and I went to the presentation yesterday.  They try to sell you
a life time membership for about $7000.  It was a hard sell, but we
sat through the whole thing.  We didn't purchase the membership
and received a voucher for a 7 night cruise out of Miami that we have
to pay port charges. this would be fair if the offer is legal.
We're going to fill out the form and send it in and see what happens.
The form is complicated and if it's not filled out correctly it is void
and you don't receive the cruise.

I work for the airlines and this is in no way affiliated with the airlines. I believe this is a scam to fish for credit card information for customers who have airline credit cards. Or a way to sell timeshares or vacations...Megan R TB

I received a mailer from the same company with Birthday Wishes, with the free travel offer. I googled the number, got to this page and shredded the card. There wasn't any ID of any type not even a return address.

I just spoke to this number. I recieved the same birthday card offer. The lady told me it is Global Vacations, they are located at 2000 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. suite 900, I was told this is located in the Colonial Bank Building. FRom the questions I ask I think they make an appointment for you to come into their office in a group setting and try to sell you vacation packages. If you dont buy one you get the travel voucher with alot of dates not available and you have to pay taxes and fees for the ticket which they said was about $50. each. (which is to much, I got some penny tickets about a year ago from Spirit and I bought 3 round trip. Tickets were 6 cents and taxes etc. were $20.per ticket not $50.) So it sounds like if you like the HIGH pressure sales go for it..

I received a letter stating that as my birthday is getting close, a "Travel Agency" call Global Vacations would like to give me Two Round Trip Airline Tickets To Any Major International Airport Anywhere In The Continental USA. The letter has SPIRIT AIRLINES & US AIRWAYS in large print as the header of the letter. It also says that if I respond within 72 hrs. I will also receive a FREE 7 day Rent-A-Car. On the back of the supposed "Travel Voucher" it says in fine print * This promotion is not sponcored by or affiliated with Spirit or US Airways, they are a major supplier.
Something just make me think that this is not on the Up&Up. I tried to do a reverse phone number lookup on the phone # 1-800-979-3066, and I also tried to find a buisness named Global Vacations at 2000 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Suite 900, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 and I couldn't find such a buisness anywhere near that address.
If anyone knows of other methods to confirm that this buisness is legit, can you please let me know.
It's either a scam, or a bill collector, or legit free airfare(but you have to stay in their hotels at over inflated prices. If anyone can help me, I'd greatly appriacate it.
Thanks in advance, Florida Native
