Called my cell claiming they were responding to my online request for Health Care. I have never made an online request for health care and would never give out my cell phone. Tried calling the 800 # and they answer the phone "Health Care, Can I help you?" What legitimate company would answer the phone this way

I was called after looking up health insurance information on the web-site. Her nane was michelle with an offer of health insurance for $159 a month. She wanted to signed me up and wanted my bank account. I told her I don't give out this over the phone, and she still keep on calling.  888-330-3318 888-800-5064

I am going to post the research I have just completed on this plan. If you wish to do your own homework, just go to this website: http://www.healthcentralsolutions.com  There, you will find that the only insurance type of coverage that is offered is some accident coverage. There is a disclaimer which states that this is not Major Medical Insurance, but could fill in some of the out of pocket expenses for high deductible plans. The rest of the benefits are discounts for prescriptions and the like. I was given 2 other websites which are not running. I spent several hours and made some phone calls to get this website. If you are looking for a good discount plan because you cannot afford health insurance, or you cannot qualify for health insurance, please contact me. I will direct you to some national associations who have much better benefits, and with much lower monthly premiums. My email address is: samdean@charter.net. Do not submit to the pressure you will get from their sales people. If anyone tells you that if you don't sign up right away, the deal is off, run!!! If the deal is not good a few days from now, after you have done your homework, then the company is not financially sound, and is probably about to close their doors. THERE ARE NO HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS TO BE FOUND IN THIS PLAN. THAT IS WHY THE SALES PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO BE LICENSED TO SELL IT. Use you common sense. Don't let them prey upon your emotions. When you need to go to the doctor, or enter into a hospital, you better know what kind of plan you own. After the fact, it's too late. Don't be one of the multitudes of people in America who are finding out too late that they really don't have health insurance after all.

I am a career agent with more than 30 years in the health and life insurance business. Do not be carried away with the emotional hype about trying to help people without the ability to get health insurance. There is no true health insurance in America for individuals today, which will cover pre-existing conditions. Even though the sales reps with this company may say that they cover pre-existing conditions, they are lying. First, ask them for the insurance license number, and what states they are licensed in. If they are not licensed in your state, they have violated your state law. If they offer any type of insurance without a license, they have violated the state law in every state they are operating in. If they use any terms like"this is real insurance", they have violated the insurance laws in every state they are operating in. Take a look at the website. Every page has a disclaimer on it: 'This is not insurance". How much more simple than that can it by? Don't be scammed into the belief that you are buying health insurance which requires underwriting questions such as, your age, occupation, smoker status, perscriptions you are taking, etc. Since they never ask these questions, they are not offering health insurance. I have discount plans I offer to individuals who cannot qualify or afford real health insurance. But those individuals clearly understand that they are not buying health insurance. Most of the time, however, I sell real health insurance offered by the large well rated carriers available in the state I reside in and work in. Do your homework! Call your state insurance department. Ask them if this is real insurance or not. Then, if you feel you have been defrauded, and you probably have, file a complaint against them. Maybe if enough people will follow this advise, these scams will be shut down, or will clean up their acts. Remember, if it seems too good to be true, it is!!!! The main reason we have lasted in business, is because we tell the truth, and provide quality service after the sale. You can always find information about insurance agents by going to the state insurance departments. Remember, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free:.

So here's the deal. You go online and click on an advertisement that leads you to a page with a bunch of promising sounding sales pitch BS. You fill out some information that seems harmless and submit it to get what you think will be quotes. Next thing you know you get a call from a Florida number from some smooth talking piece of **** who will directly lie to you and tell you that they are a special company dedicated to finding the cheapest insurance policies. Needless to say the only time they record the conversation is when you verify your purchase and they read through everything so fast and it's filled with jargon that it's difficult to catch on to the fact that what they are selling you is nothing more than a worthless benefits card. Needless to say I caught it early because I went to tell a friend about it and couldn't find the website I was on when I stumbled across this page. I immediately went to the bank the next day, canceled my debit card and ordered a new one, filled out an affidavit for the initial payment of $259 just in case they still try to get it from me. When I called them back and said I wanted to cancel they didn't seem like it was a problem and I specifically asked if the $259 would be charged and they said because it's still pending they would cancel it. Had I not called that soon I doubt they would offer a refund. Perhaps I went overboard but this experience definitely proved that your better off safe than sorry. Perhaps this is a legitimate company but they definitely misrepresent their products on purpose. If they don't do it on purpose then why would they not have a physical address or phone number listed on their website. They just changed their web address in the last 24 hours from www.global-mb.com to www.globalmedbenefits.com. So this is what I learned from this experience:
-Never do a transaction completely over the phone.
-Never let someone convince you to buy because something is only offered short term.
-Ask for paper documents to be sent to you in the mail so you can have time to look it over. This serves a double purpose because if you are truly being scammed and not just misled the sales rep will get flustered and give himself away. Plus you will then have a physical mailing address of the company assuming they don't pack up and relocate.
-Never give out your social security number. If you buy something with a credit or debit card they do not need to know your ssn.
-If everything seems to check out but you still have a gut feeling that tells you you're being had, ask the company who they are licensed through and check with that agency about their legitimacy.
-Last but not least, if you do anything on the internet take the time to read all the fine print and get background information. The internet is a wonderful thing and often times you can find good deals but companies like Global Med Benefits specifically target people that are too trusting and excited about finding a good deal.

It's like the old saying goes... if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

So I receive a call from Eric phone number (954) 938-9971. Very nice and patient, but just sounded really fishy to me for some reason. He indicated he was calling from a Global Med Benefits and that it is a corporate plan offering full-scope coverage for a low locked in rate of $179/person. Sounded great, but beware. Explained all the details and questions I had. He then wanted my information, but I knew better. I wanted details and what not on the plan he just explained to me and asked him to send me an email. He then told me that I need to act fast because it was a special enrollment program the offer once a year and it is expiring soon. He then asked me to hold and transferred me to his supervisor, Justin. Justin was a bit to pushy for comfort and was a complete do***ebag. He was aggressive and told me that I had to act fast because they only accept 5% of online inquiries. Anywho, he sounded more like a cars salesman than anything, no offense. I just hung up and told him that is just a risk I am willing to take. He wouldn't send me an email with all the details. Thank you for all the posts, I knew this was too good to be true!

I applied for online health insurance quotes.  Suddenly I was overwhelmed with calls from 800-979-4870 / 954-938-9971.

They all offered me an incredible plan for a steal about $125 a month or so. The wrinkle was that they wanted me to sign up right away and that they could not send me any information on this plan by internet / e-mail.

That they were offering this plan to 5% of enrollees in each state and that they were enrolling me in a group insurance plan with over 2,000,000 million national enrollees.

Their pitch was incredibly persuasive - but a little too good to be true which is why I was suspicious.  Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage through Aetna and US Life.  As it got towards commitment - it became quite hard sell which put my back up.

They wanted me to fork over $259 immediately - the first month's premium of $125.00 and a one-time sign-up fee of $134.00.  Once I paid this fee, I was a member forever - I could come back anytime after cancelling and that my premium could never change.  When I asked them to send me some material over the internet that I could review they were totally unwilling and said that is not the way this plan was sold.

If I wanted this plan I had to sign up right now and that once they had signed up 5% of their enrollees from a state that is it - this plan could not be offered again until next year.

When I said I needed to think about it and to send me some material the supervisor became incredibly hardsell and would not take no for an answer - ultimately I had to put the phone down.

While their pitch was very lucid convincing and they certainly seemed to know the health insurance market generally and in New York State rather well the perfunctory ease with which they qualified me despite some pre-existing conditions and started making me a pitch with US Life and Aetna as the companies through which they are offering health insurance made me suspicious.

In conclusion I don't think their offer is legit.

OMG! I just spoke to Charles from... what ever the company's name is... US Health and somehing... he told me exact same things, once the 5% in group coverage in CA is reached, the plan and quote wont be available to me anymore. It sounded too good to be true anyway! $299 a month, absolutely everything covered! Luckely, I told him I would call back although he was very pushy and would not let me of the phone. then i typed in his 1800 number in the google and I saw there was no company linked to the number! thank you all for your postings, you saved me quite some money!

Global called me too instantly after logging off site. I asked what insurance company they represented and they told me US Life Insurance Company. The person I spoke with gave the name of Rena. She started off with a plan that was $239 that covered everything. I told her I was interested in a HSA. Then then asked me how much I wanted to spend. She then quoted me a $124 plan with a $135 enrollment fee. I asked her to email me all the information but she said they don't do that. I was able to get her number, 800-979-4870 to call back, if I wanted to resume the conversation. I told her I was not going to make a decision today, then she got a little pushy. I've never heard of Global or US Life Insurance. It just did not feel right????

I filled out a free quote form and got a call back from Linda Millow from 1-800-979-4870. She gave me a great price for my family of 4 and she was kind enough to explain all the plans benefits. I told her that i needed to discuss it with my husband first could i call her back she said yes and gave me the number again. I asked what insurance company this was for she stated Beech street. i wanted to research them online and see what i could find out about the company cause with 2 small kids i need to make sure i can keep their doctors. I called them back and they answered the phone as globial i said that i thought this is the number for beech street she said no it is not i then found this site and relize that its a scam to get money out of hard working people. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT POSTED ON HERE FOR ALL US US TOO SEE ABOUT THIS COMPANY

My wife screwed up and put info into a website while looking for insurance to use along with Medicare. Awhile later I started getting at least 4 calls a day on my cell phone. I ignored it because I didn't know the number, the second day she called the 800 number to talk and told them to not call again. The calls kept coming! After 2 more daysof 4 or 5 calls a day I called and got into an arguement with operator. Wife again called and told them to stop the calls, they still occur. OH well now I am filing with the Pa Attorney Generals office.
Can't locate the 800 number location. The 975-938-9971 number is located in Ft Lauderdale. Had a problem with a book subscription service in Fort Lauderdale and this might be the same address. Hmmmmm

JR - Can you tell me more about this company and the type of medical coverage you have.  I am concerned and in this stituation of not having any health insurance and needing medical attention.  Do you have issues finding doctors to accept this dicount plan?  I'm in NYC and want to make sure that this is legit.  Insurance in NYC is very high, even for the basic emergency room coverage. About $150/month for emergency room coverage only and the min for monthly limited care is $320/mo...that is an insane price to pay...

Thanks.

Following up on my previous post, in all fairness, I feel compelled to disclose that I received a call, today, from Elijah (Enrollment Supervisor) at Global Med Care Direct Med, providing me with the following website which contains information relative to the various health care plans.  Type the following into your search engine "Address" bar, do NOT do it as a Google search:  http://www.global-mb.com.  The Global Med Benefits home page will appear.  Click on "Plan Benefits" at the top, right, corner of the page.  Scroll down to view the different plan benefits.  I have to say that Elijah was very helpful in answering all of my questions.  He also wanted me to enroll, sooner, than later, due to enrollment caps on the group plan, but did not try to over-sell, which I appreciated.  So, "New York Sucker", you may not be as bad off as you thought.

Wow!!!  All of the posts, except for "JR" mirror my experience.  They called while I was still on-line.  I had one heck of a time just trying to determine what the name of the business is.  Robert Silva was definitely a "call-center rep" (but sounded more like a used-car salesman) (no offense if you sell cars :=) and could not answer specific questions about their "product".  Janelle (supervisor) ran the same line.  I have not been able to locate Global Med Care Direct Med (800-979-4870) on the net, which is their name via the outgoing message after hours.  There is something wrong when you cannot find a "business" of this magnitude on the net, in addition to their refusing reasonable request for company and product information.  I seriously doubt their legitimacy.  I may be a target, but I will not become a victim.  I wish you the best, "New York Sucker".  Thank you all for your posts.
