My Callwave says the company name is ECoverage. Sounds like a business insurance vendor.

I get calls everyday from this number. How is it?
| rastamule 2011-06-06 21:07:27 Unknown |
Call nearly every single day. Like above posters, they never leave a msg. For some reason I have a feeling they are affiliated with Godaddy.com. Have any of you purchased a domain name from Godaddy?

Received 2 calls this weekend on my cell phone - no messages - personally I don't answer calls to my cell that are out of area / long distance unless I know the caller because of call/minute scams.

Just received another call with Pleasantville, CA ID. Number is set up to block *69, but I dialed and heard the Washington Mutual Credit Card Services recording. Why would a corporation this size would hang up when I asked who was calling (again and again -calling and asking)? Sounds scary to me.

By the way, I thank WAMU for the 8:21 a.m. Eastern time phone call on Saturday.

I just purchased a new cell phone, this caller kept calling and I spoke with them, the asked me for my SSN and name which I would not give. They said they could not remove my phone number from there dialer without a name. Eventually they put me on hold for ever and I hanged up the phone... I hope they stop calling.

If your not paying your credit card bills, they legally have a right to call you some of the time. Heres some Collection Rights on your part: Under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA), you can actually just tell the debt
collectors to stop calling you all together.
Debt collectors usually prefer to contact you via telephone, because they're pretty much assured they
can say whatever they want and know that the chances that the borrowers are recording the call are
slim to none. Under the FDCPA, you can insist that all communication take place through the mail,
which gives you the added benefit of having everything in writing.
Debt collectors are not allowed to harass people who owe them money. This means they're not
supposed to call you thirty times a day, especially after you've talked to them. If they continue to call
you, they're in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The act also dictates when the
collectors are allowed to call. They are allowed to call between 8am and 9pm (your local time,
regardless of where the collectors are calling from); and they are allowed to call you at work unless
you've specifically mentioned that your employer disapproves of phone calls at work. As for holidays
and weekends? The law doesn't have a specific requirement of weekends and holidays but includes a
statement that the collectors are not to call when it would be deemed inconvenient- hopefully a
holiday would classify as an inconvenient time to call!
The best way to stop the calls is to send them a letter instructing them to stop calling you. You can do
this with debt collectors, but not the original lender of the money.
After you've sent the letter requesting communications to stop, (called a "cease and desist" letter, it
should include your name and account number, a request to stop communications under your rights
with the federal debt collection laws, and a line that states you will pursue criminal and civil claims if
they are in violation of your request)the law provides that the collections company can contact you
one more time to give you an explanation of their next actions- whether further methods of collecting
that particular debt will be stopped, or what further actions the collector plans to take. If they contact
you beyond that single instance, you then can go to court and seek punitive action from the collector
for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

I get 3 calls a day from this number and never receive a message on home and cell phone both.
| BR 2008-01-07 16:20:42 Unknown |
Most likely from Washington Mutual credit card collections. They are just one company that uses this particular collection group. They call me 3-4 times a day and since it is an automated call, IF I answer I get a recording for me to hold for an important call. Otherwise it hnags up without leaving a message. If I answer a call and am on hold without a live body on the other end, I hang up immediately, not wasting my time with them.

I get calls from them ALL the time, two or three times a day. I've been getting tons of 925-area code calls lately, does anyone know any ways to get them to stop or report them?

First I was put on hold with a recording saying please hold I am trying to connect you for an incoming call. The caller was a man with a thick accent. It was weird because he asked for the person who use to live here, but they had a different number. When I said she no longer lived here he asked for an alternate number and I told him I didn't have one. He said thank you very much and hung up????? How weird.
