Our front office manager answered a call from Zip Local. They asked her questions about our address and fax number! I thought it was suspicious so I went to go look online to see if there were any information on this phone number.  I saw that it might be a scam so I told the office manager and she said "No its not a scam, they do phone directory", she pulled out a phone directory from Ziplocal! So not sure if it's a scam or not!

Lady introduced herself as "Clark County Directoy".. but then had an airhead moment.. and couldnt think of her lines. She started "umm-ing" into the phone... So I just hung up on her.

God, I love my VOIP.

Caller ID showed call coming from Provo, UTAH, but caller announced hisself as calling from Tacoma, WA. Asked for the manager who handles the phonebook. But I just simply put him on hold for quite a while so that I could google this number, and then after a minute of holding told him to take us off their list. And slammed the phone in his ear. :D

Number belongs to ZipLocal, former PDC yellow pages. Crappy company selling yellow pages in few states. There also was a class action complaint filed against them for false contractual details.... My friend's business advertised with them...

First time they called they apologized for dialing the wrong number.  Same number called a couple hours later and there wasn't anyone there.

Wanted to 'verify' business information. When I asked the cost, it was *only* $200 a year to be listed on the Internet and yellow pages. We already are listed on the Internet and yellow pages. We aren't going to pay to list again with some unknown yellow page company.

This phone number really belongs to Phone Directories Company - it is real especially if you own a business. Their website is www.pdcpages.com.

I just got off the phone with one of their minions who was "shocked" that I thought she was trying to scam us.  I said, look- I know how this works, you are recording this and then are going to use it to say that I gave you permission to be listed in your stupid directory.  Well, we have a block on our phone account so you can't slam us!

Minion- No, that's not what we do at all, but I'll take your business off our list.

They know they are ripping off small businesses.  They know it, and don't care, because they "can't get any other job".  How about making license plates you thieves!!!

If you find you're getting a lot of these directory scammers, call up your telephone provider and tell them to put a block, freeze or whatever they call it in your area, on your account so that third parties cannot add charges to your bill.  There is no limit to what these criminals will think of to prove you authorized the charges- but as long as you have a block on your account, they can make up all the false charges they want, they won't be able to add them to your phone bill.

This number is on my caller id four times in the last seven days, designated as a missed call. Thank you for the heads-up about them.

The solicitor lady seemed nice on the phone but I agree, they are still slammers. They need to be avoided.

Filthy spamming/scamming bastiges. No doubt trying to slam my current phone service to theirs. Do not speak to or communicate with these vermin thieves. Their employees who are complicit in these crimes, should be arrested right along with the owner and locked away in jail for a long time for this criminal activity.

Unsolicited call... probably one of a zillion 'yellow pages' solicitations. Whoever broke up AT&T should have to field all these calls.
