These folks have called me twice...ostensibly trying to reach a relative and worried about them...I flat out told her she'd called me before with this line, and I am certain she works for a collection agency and I am
not interested in helping her...not to call me again!!

Just got one of these calls from (801) 236-7580 for a neighbor that lives behind me. The person told me his name was Tyler and he had sent my neighbor some stuff and never heard back from them and wanted to know if he got the package. He asked if I knew them. I told him no.
This call really bothered me so I called back and spoke with "Tyler". I asked how he found me associated with my neighbor whom I don't know, and why was he calling me. He told me the story again and said it was a "personal business matter" and that he found me by using www.whitepages.com under "neighbors".
As for whitepages.com.....when I try and search this phone # on their site, it wants me to pay to find out who it belongs to, but yet if I search my own address under the neighbors tap, it givees me ALL my neighbors names, addresses, and phone #'s. What a crock!!!
I have to wonder if this is legal. It really ticks me off that they tried to use me in this way!! Anyone out there know if this legal?

They also employ a technique known as "skip tracing". Among other methods, they will run a debtor's address and home telephone number through a reverse directory search, and contact anyone they find who may live near the debtor, as well as use other databases to locate a debtor's relatives and contact them as well. Some of their techniques are legally questionable, but they manage to get away with it.

Got a call today about my neighbor.  The caller was "Crystal Pace".  The caller id came up as "NAR"

Called about my neighbor and identified them self as Amanda. Came up as NAR on the caller ID.  I googled the number and it came up as: Digitas Incorporated, (801) 236-7580, 136 E South Temple Ste 1100, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.  I think it is a collection agency.

I got a call from this number. Wanted to know my address, said I had a package.  I thought it was a delivery company. When I started to give my address.  Then she said the package was not for me, but a neighbor.  Was evasive when I questioned why she called me, and hang up.  I was concerned enough to call *69 and look up (801) 236-7580.  Seens to me that someone or some company is trying to gather discrete information about me or someone who lives around me.  Gives me the creeps.

Got a call from this number looking for a person living blocks away but on the same street asking if we knew this person and how to contact them.  Looks like they're going through the phonebook looking for neighbors to collect on something.  They said it was a "personal matter", ie likely collection agency.
