Calls and hangs up.

They calld my business today.  It was someone with an american accent.  He said "Hello, this is Austin Lake from (I forgot the name of the business).  I'm calling to see if you are going to be moving or planning on opening up a new office."  I said "No" and he said "Okay, thanks.  Bye."  

What is that all about?

801 is an area code in utah. I get spam calls from all different area codes.

Received call and caller asked if we were moving in the next year or so or if we have recently moved

Never anybody there when I answer the phone!

These guys keep calling me and then hang up too.  What's the point?  I'm sure they're trying to sell something but are too scared to even talk?  Lame!

Received this call today which was very strange as this is a business. They said they wanted to send some information and asked if I had moved or changed addresses, I said no and they immediately hung up.  I input *69 and the number was listed as 1-801-414-1414 and when I call the number it says the customer is unavailable.  I tried a search for the number and it showed it as a cell phone in the Salt Lake City area.

thin Indian guy called me 16 times in 1 hour i told him his number was labeled scam he still called  2 or 3 times after that

I was a sleep after taking my medication for pain in my back-bone on bone type pain,and !(801)414-1414 called 3xs in a row:1stx,then 1hr later,than 2more xs back to back,when I answered some female asked for Kim Bobbie,when I said there was no one by that name at the # she snickered & hung up!!WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?And I believe it came after I went on Internet looking for a Grant yesterday on USAFunding!

This number calls several times daily.  Answered today after it called about 15 times.  Indian male, hindu accent.  Told him that this number had been reported as spam.  He started stuttering, said "sorry" and hung up.

13 Phone calls in the past 8 hours. It is getting ridiculous!! Has anyone had any results with getting the number to stop? Please let me know. Thanks

These calls keep coming into the phone of my 14 year old son, along with about 3 other numbers, 5-6 times a day. I actually spoke to our local police about telephone harassment charges, but they said since the numbers were coming from out of state, they didn't have the resources to prosecute the calls.

this number has been calling me for some time have told them to remove my number from their list and it seems like they are just do in it to get me mad cause they call me every 3mins or so and call and then just hung up.

Got 7 calls from these a**holes and it will not stop.

called from 801.414.1414 8:06am, 8:11am, 8:40am, 8:41am, 9:37am, 9:38am, 10:19am, 11:17am, 11:42am, 2:09pm, 2:46pm, 3:17pm, 3:18pm,  3:29pm. 14x just today Monday the 4th, Pacific Standard Time.  I answer the phone they disconnect, I don't answer the phone they don't leave a message, how the heck can I stop these idiots from calling if they don't advise who they are or what they want.  What a bunch of morons.

they call me everyday at least 5 times a day.Tired of them they need to find a real job besides calling ppl that dont want the sh*t they are selling!

This caller said that i won a gov grant and that it would cost me 3.69 to process.  At that point i hung up.  He has been calling for the past week.  He has a very strong accent.  Indian or Nigerian or something like that.

I'm having the same issue! These calls started a week ago but yesterday 06/02/2012 they've seem to have increased ! From the moment I wake up I'm bombarded with dozens of calls... Yesterday alone 06/01/2012 I received a total of 15 f****ng calls back back to back! I handed the phone to my husband because they kept repeatedly calling non stop & they don't leave a message.. I tried answering once after the first 5 f****ng calls but nobody said anything & they hung up.. When my husband answered the call be politely told them they have the wrong number even though they were asking for me by name.... But that still didn't cease the harassing phone calls....it's.its gotten beyond annoying I'm downright pissed... They even try blocking their number but I never answer blocked/private numbers... My hubby said it was a woman & she had a thick middle eastern accent he could barely understand what she was saying.... I'm on the do not call list so I don't understand the constant overwhelming volumes of phone calls.... If I get any further calls I'm answering & I'm going off !

This  # has called  me 27 times in  1 day  and  the  next day another  14 times  before  noon. Always  askes  for  first name only. Bad  static,  Indian speaking male,  will not give name of  company,  tries to  get  credit card info  says you have a reward. and you have to  pay to  have it sent to you.

I have been called 43 times so far in the last ten days. It will not stop. They said they have a grant for me and no matter how many times I have told them to stop, the calls continue. They called in the middle of my ceremony when I was getting a purple heart. Wish they would go away.

I got a call from this number today,he asked for my husband when I said no this is his wife they hung up, very bad connection as well

I have gotten calls for days from this number. I am on the Do Not Call list and specifically because of crap like this. I want it to stop!

This number is calling regarding US Grants/Grant Applications filed online. They sound like they are middle eastern, and you can hear in the back ground what sounds like a call center with dozens of people talking. They call at all hours, all days despite being told to stop calling. I just had 3 calls back to back with in an hour and I told all of them not to call me. Idk where to file a complaint where something can actually be done.

Watch out for any number starting with 801. I remember some years ago there was some scam. They call you and leave a message saying to call them back. You call and they put you on hold. Not knowing your going to get a bill for thousands of dollars. FYI

the 8014141414 number is a mobile phone from a indian fraud company us financial services..the mans name is spencer....

This number calls me at least 3 times a day, my husband answered it, they hung up. I answered it a day or 2 later and the middle eastern guy who I could hardly understand said he was calling to give me a "grant" of some sort! Had my name too! I told him not to call again or I would report it to my lawyers....THEY CALLED BACK THAT SAME DAY!!! Then no calls for a few days and just got a call again this morning!! Every time I try to call it back it says the person I tried to reach is unavailable. Then I kept calling them back right after I would hang up and it actually started to hang up on me! I am definitely reporting this!

These people keep calling me and saying nothing on the house phone. I just like to know who they are so I can press charges against them for aggravated and no conversation call.

It is a work of team or a group that as soon as you answer it gets into your smart phone & downloads all your hard drive for essential info e.g: stocks and bonds trade, bank info etc. also your address book to sell off to companies. DO NOT ANSWER & Report it to your Telephone carrier company so they can legally trace and find out about it.

i have been receiving phone calls from this number different times of day and when you answer they \hang up and not say anything, does anyone know who this is?
