Received a call claiming that they were with PWA, Personal Wealth Associates. The number showed up on my cell phone as a forwarded call. Don't know how they got my name and number. He said I had requested some information, but I never did. Might have been through an internet offer I was glancing at. The guy sounded like a very slick salesman, or should I say scumbag. He said something about them helping me receive federal grant money. First I would have to go through a selection process. They supposedly were only looking for serious candidates who wanted to build their wealth. I told the piece of s*#t to f*!k off. I am a salesman, so I can sense when someone is trying to scam me, not that I ever scammed anyone. I earn my living the honest way. Beware of PWA, and try to get as much info from them as possible when they call. Go along with what they say, but do not give out any personal info. I wish I would have done the same, but I was too pissed off. When I try to call back, all I get is a recording that says the number is temporarily unavailable.

Recieve 1 or 2 a day and when we answer no says anything they just hang up.

I have been getting calls as well.
But wait it gets even better!! They somehow got hold of my credit card number and started charging the heck out of it. Lucklly I caught it in time and closed my account. Now that's scary...

on a sat morn, rang 3 times and did not leave a message,
i tried calling the number back and got a recording that said
the number was not available

I just received a call from this number. When I answered, I heard various background noise, but no one responded, then the call was terminated on their end. I immediately tried a call back, and received a message that the number is temporarily unavailable.

Just received a phone call from them about 1 hour ago, and no message was left.

Receiving a call a day - silence

i got the same problem but today a mail voice called and called my name asking if it was me. i searched the number but it says it is coming form Utah.

I get that same call a couple times a day.  They never leave a message and when I pick it up, I never get connected.

I HAVE RECEIVED MULITIPLE CALLS FROM THIS PHONE NUMBER ALONG WITH 801-791-9249. THE ONLY RESPONSE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN IS THAT THEY HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER. I HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH GRANTS SO I HAVE NO CLUE WERE THEY GOT MY NUMBER BUT IT IS GETTING REALLY OLD.

this number would call my phone and let it ring no more than 3 times and they hang up before i can answer it. Plus when i call back an answering service responds and asks to leave a message.

I've had the exact same problem for the past month. At first i thought it was a collection company. I would get calls every single day from this number. I've just had 4 calls from them within one hour. They hang up on me before i even pick up my phone to see who's calling & when i do answer i just put the phone down and do my usual stuff. I'm at that point to changing my number soon.

These people call me 4 and 5 times a day. I've only gotten one person on the phone before and it does no good telling them to remove you from their calling list. Half the time I get hung up on when I answer. It's really starting to be a pain in the a**. If I could get a hold of whomever this company is, I'd sue the crap out of them for harassment.

Is there anyway of stopping this nuisance?

This company has called several times, I have called them back and left several messages for them to stop calling, yet they still call about 4-5 times a day!!!  today has been one of the worst, I think they ahve called almost 6 times!!  Does anyone know how to get them to stop?  this is a nightmare as I work nights and they have been calling all day! (while i sleep)

Same thing happend to me except I clicked one company for a trial but got his with 3.

They are originated from 1 of 3 companies I clicked on; Grants One Day, Cheif of Grants, or The US Grants Club.  But they hit my bank card 3 different times when all I did was sign up for a trial Grant for $2.00.
The the fine print online is hidding in the Agreement, which anyone could easily miss.  I couldn't do anything about the charges that already hit my account but I closed out that bank card immediately.  It was a hassle having to setup my monthly payments but a small price to pay for having money stollen from me.

Now I just get the annoying hang up phone calls.  How can I stop these, as I can not seem to speak with a person.

I've received this phone call about 3-5 times daily for the last 3 months and it was from a Grant Service I looked into.  Sometimes when I answer, they hang up.  There has been 5 occasions that I have answered and spoke to someone.  The 1st 3x I told them I was not interested and to please remove my number an they replied,"no problem."  The last 2x I told them I've already asked to be taken off the list 3x and to stop calling my number immediatley as it is also my work phone, then I hung up.  Thankfully I have a G1 T-Mobile phone and I programmed the number into my contacts list which allows me to send them directly to voice mail = I never hear from them any more.  They are also being investigated by my bank for using my CC without consent to the tune of $150.00!  I've spent 2 hours at my bank so far and going back this Saturday to fill out more paperwork.  I had to cancel that card and update 3 automatic bill pays to be used with my new card! They are originated from 1 of 3 companies I clicked on; Grants One Day, Cheif of Grants, or The US Grants Club.  There actual numbers are 866 area code but they dial out on the ever so annoying 801 area code!

they call me three times a day like clockwork no answer just no one available please leave a message.  I tried numerous times to call them and hope to get hold of a human to no avail just leave a message. Driving me mad!

Am getting 2-3 hangup calls a day from 801-452-8129. When I pick up, they usually don't answer, but the one time they did, it appears they are "selling" government grants. Suggest everyone calls and leaves threatening message about reporting them to the FCC.

I have been bothered by this # calling me, I finally found that it has to do with someone trying to push government grant money. My fault, I looked at ads for grant money. I have as yet found no way to turn them off.

Receive several calls daily from phone # 801-452-8129. When I answer the call no one says anything. Just silence on the other end. I don't have caller ID, the way I found the number was to dial *69.

Calls me everyday, never anyone on the end when I pick up.

801-452-8129 is a company that you ask for info. on gov. grants the name of them is united sbs. They are on auto dialer. They've sold our numbers
and we've given them permission to do just that. by tell them to send us the info.

Calls me at work several times a day. I answer, they hang up. No message. Very maddening! Sure wish it would stop!!!!

1-800-582-0655 is the annoyance call bureau for Qwest if anyone would like to call and b**ch them out about the phone calls they have been getting.

Has anybody called QWEST for that location to report the number as harassing us? I'm thinking about doing it after I get off from work...

OMG - they call me 3 -5 times a day.  I just entered the number to see what I could find, and am surprised so many people are having the same problem.  We too have called back and left messages asking to be taken off their list - to no avail.

ok this is getting bad i just got 6 calls in the last 20 minutes whats is going on  that it just wondering do you get paid by how many calls you make ?

has called me i know at least 75 times in the last 48 hours i want it stop now . they ring 2or 3 times and hangs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
