Looks like they're some sort of call center that companies outsource with to collect past-due bills. Trugreen was the merchant.

absolutely true. i also work for a telemarketing agency. trust me. we do not like calling pissed off customers. i try to offer the dnc list to people who are angered, but the 30 day removal period is imperative. best bet is to move your banking to a local bank instead of wells fargo or boa.
Judith 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
Be very careful when they call you, I started getting billed for this on my mortgage statement and called to find out who or what they were. They told me I signed up for it and BOA transfered me to them. HHP then xfered me to their 3rd party contractor who could tell me who signed up for this. They in turn had me down with a different address/dob so basically they were billing my account but were protecting someone totally different. The rep could not do anything about it but refer it to her supervisor I am fixing to call bank of america back to cancel this mess. PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR MORTGAGE BILL!!!THEY COULD BE SCAMMING YOU TOO

just to let you know i actually work for one of those 3rd party companies always calling people and health protector plus is what i sale. The do not call list works to a point. Yes it does take up to 30 days but there is a catch. Any business transaction with the bank such as deposit withdrawal or anything in last 18 months actually puts you back on the calling list. So the only true way to avoid any calls like that is actually not associating with the banks thats your only way.

This number calls me several times a day. I answered today, and they asked for my husband. I told them to take me off their call list. This company is really Health Protector Plus (1-888-665-9900) and they are a preferred Bank of America 3rd party vendor. If you have an account with Countrywide, Wells Fargo, or Bank of America, then your name and telephone number was sold by Bank Of America to their 3rd party marketing preferred vendors. Even if you are on the do not call list, that request is overridden since you have an account with BOA. Call Bank of America Customer Service at 1-800-669-6607 or 1-800-285-6000 (you will need your account number) and request to be taken off the Bank of America 3rd party telemarketing list. Be ready for a headache and be prepared to be on the phone for a while. I was transferred 4 times before I was given to someone who "knew" what they were doing. The lady I spoke with today (Heidi) said it would take 30 days to take my name off the list. (what a bunch of crock!!). Good luck!! I am ready for the 5-6 call I receive a day from this company (and any future BOA telemarketer) to stop!

I had been recieving calls from BOA (bank of america) last week i picked up and it was Health Protector Plus. I told them i did not want Health insurance through them i already have some. Today i opened a piece of mail from BOA to find out i was in overdraft because Health Protector Plus had charged my account 30 bucks plus another 35 BOA charged me for going into overdraft. I have been on he phone now for 45 minutes bitching and screaming and i cannot get anything done.. Everyone i speak to transfers me to someone else..BOA can blow me!
cb 2011-06-06 20:58:53 Unknown
My caller ID shows COUNTRYWIDE but when I call the number back the message states:
"WELLS FARGO we've recently tried to contact you with a special promotion..."
none 2010-11-15 16:22:06 Unknown
problem is this, even if you are in the dnc registry you can still be called. there are loopholes if you have an established business relationship with wells fargo, wachovia, bank of america...ect ect. even then, if someone else used your number as a contact number, they will contact you as well. best bet is to answer your phone when these people call and tell them to remove you from their call list. what they will tell you is that they will do this, but it takes 30 days to completely get you out of the system and even then, you might be on other lists for other products available as well. if you have to, ask to speak with a supervisior as well.

Calls from Shaun Garff for the last week. Called the number back and got a recording saying it was a special offer from Wells Fargo. I don't have any WF accounts and my phone # is in the Do Not Call registry. I will be entering a complaint with the registry.

Just received a call from this same number myself. I didn't answer Thank God! I hope this isn't the first of many. I too have an account w/ BOA (Countrywide). Not late by any means.

I started getting these calls on july 20. It says utah call and i see others on here say their id says countrywide or bank of america also. Well we just bought our house in march and it was with countrywide after it was sold from our other lender then bank of america bought countrywide. We aren't late on payments and never have been so probably trying to get us to get a credit card or something since our credit is outstanding in this horrible economy!!

Called tonight at 8:30 pm! Did the 2 hellos, heard other talking in the background so I knew it was some swindler/telemarketer. Then the dude had this crazy voice and asked for my husband. Hung up on him, he had better not call back or I'm getting the whistle.

I get calls 4 or 5 times a day, never answer, never get a message. Thanks for identifying the caller, now I know I'll never answer it.

We get calls from this number several times a day and never a message. Only difference is our Caller ID shows Countrywide, which is now B of A. Granted our mortgage was with CW which sold out to B of A, but no late pays, etc. so no reason for them to be calling at all as far as I'm concerned.

This number has been calling every day for three days. We looked it up, it's a Utah number. They call, don't leave a message but there are some muffled voices in the background on the answering machine. I called the number back and it said it was a solicitation from Wells Fargo and to press "1" if you didn't want to be called back and to enter your phone number. I did so. It said it could take up to 30 days to process the request not to be called.

Picked up twice when I saw this number call, seemed like someone was there and I could hear other voices in the background, but after I said 'hello' twice, they hung up. They don't leave a message when I don't answer. Two calls yesterday, and one today.

I started getting calls from this number July 11, 2009 and they CLAIM to be calling from Bank of America Home Loans. What's so funny is that one of the calls (I believe Monday, July 13) claimed to be calling from WAMU. I have accounts with both institutions. I don't like this crap at all. Someone is looking at my financial/personal information and calling me to get me to do what??? Give out credit/bank account info to signup for some $h*t. I can't stand these people. Get a REAL life!!
Yesterday, July 15, 2009, they called in the morning and it was an answering service that said if you want to be removed from this calling list, please press "1". I did that. So today, July 16, 2009 I get yet another stupid call from them and I told the guy that I asked to be removed from the calling list, his reply was that "It could take up to 30 days to be removed from all the lists." I told him that is ridiculous. Remove me from the list now and stop calling me and I hung up the phone. I logged into my phone account and the ID info says GARFF SHAUN.

Just got a call from Shaun Garff. I picked up the phone but I didn't say anything and there was nothing on the other end.
