These bozos are not calling just U of U graduates; they are apparently calling whatever numbers their computer spits out. I've never even set foot on the U of U campus, so I have no idea how in the hell they got ahold of my cell number (probably a random dialer as suggested earlier). If Verizon Wireless is your cell carrier, the best thing to do is to block whatever numbers they call from in your My Verizon account, because they are a non-profit and therefore exempt from the Do Not Call list. I've had calls from six different 801-585
and 801-587 numbers since the beginning of July, so these guys must be really desperate for donations or just like wasting their time. I don't even contribute to my own alma mater, why in the hell would I donate to the U of U??!

My caller ID showed the name "UNIV OF UTAH" with the number 801-585-0764. There was no message. I called it back and got a recorded message saying that it was from the University of Utah, thanking me for calling them back, and telling me that they wanted to tell me all the great things the University of Utah is doing. It was obviously for fundraising.
