Global Energy Organization. call from different numbers. This time it was 904-859-5142. I've pushed the button to be removed, they keep calling. I talked to Candy today and she said "well you know how computers are" and launched back into speech. I said I wanted to make it perfectly clear that we're not interested and want our name...she then hung up before I'd finished.

call my cell and house, leaves no message
notgonnabite 2011-06-06 21:06:31 Unknown
Cell phone - about 5 calls in 10 days. I didn't catch the company name but other posts say Global Energy Organization. The message does talk about getting federal rebates for energy saving home repairs. I reported to the 'donotcall' web site since it was a recorded call.

they call me 3x day...all different cell numbers. i've asked to be removed from their list. i also tell them they are violating the DNC list and they tell me that they are exempt because they aren't selling anything. what can be done about them???

They called to my cell phone. Why?
Joe 2011-04-06 13:04:09 Unknown
From "http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-904-483-0854"
Further research on my part found that there are potentially serveral numbers used by this same calling party. Perhaps my calls (about once a week) from other numbers are all from the same place? I did not answer any of the calls from these four numbers, so I'm unable to confirm/deny them, but it is interesting that all four numbers could potentially be used by the same group:
904-859-5142, 03/18/11
904-271-1863, 03/23/11
904-483-0509, 03/30/11
904-483-0854, 04/05/11

I was called on my cell phone yesterday by 904-662-2023 with a recorded message about a free energy audit. Today they, or similar group, called my home phone for the third time (no caller ID) but I spoke to a "script reader" who said they are Global Energy Organization. My husband, a lung cancer patient, has been annoyed via his cell phone, three times while trying to rest.
I tried to complain to FL Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, but I don't have an address for the caller. I'm already on the FCC Do Not Call List, but that doesn't seem to matter.
I'm writing to my congressman and state senators. This flagrant badgering has got to stop. I pay for three phones for my convenience and the convenience of family, friends and business associates. It's unfortunate that some people have so few skills that the only job they can get is to annoy others by calling.

This is the same as others are reporting. They call repeatedly and the recording or person leaving the message says that I was refereed by a friend or family member and that I qualify for a free energy audit at no cost to me; it's already been paid for. I have been getting these calls repeatedly.

They are now calling from 904-662-2786. I've called the St. Johns County Sheriff's office. They told me to tell them that I make too much money to qualify. I tried that today, didn't work. I've reported the numbers to the Do Not Call Registry, that doesn't work. I've filed a report with the FCC, that doesn't work. I've called Marco Rubio and left a message that the law needs to change to stop this. They were sympathetic, but they probably won't do anything either. Today I called AT&T wireless because they are calling both my cell phones. They helped me estimate the amount of time that I've wasted between phone calls (about 5-6 months now) and complaints, and without asking, they gave me a $200 credit towards my next bill.
If you are getting calls on your cell phone, call your provider and complain fervently. Maybe if they end up giving enough people credits on their accounts, THEY will do something about it.
By the way, the sheriff's office has received complaints about this and so has Marco Rubio's office. The more complaints, the more likely something will get done.
Any other ideas of where I can post this complaint?

Getting calls a number of times a week from Global Energy Org. It's a recording, and if you press one and wait, the person on the other end is braindead, just reads the script and doesn't respond to questions.
They claim to be a "non profit"
The number that comes up on Caller ID is 561-713-9722
When searched it comes up as a West Palm Beach fl.

Been getting calls from various cell numbers for months - they all are a pre-recorded message about energy audits. Called Progress Energy - no affliation with them, called TECO same thing. Today I pushed the 1 to talk to a person and got a very rude young lady telling me that of course they aren't affilated with the energy companies - told her to take my name off the list and that I was reporting them. She said I was unpatriotic and that she couldn't guarantee they will stop calling. What do you do with these people? Oh and the number is now 321-960-4500.

I'm not sure if the phone call came from 904-859-5142 (I no longer have caller ID); however, the name of the organization that calls me every day after I have asked them multiple times to stop is Global Energy Organization (GEO).
I called the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and filed a complaint, and I also called the Florida Attorney General's office at 1-866-966-7226. The lady I spoke with there told me that if enough people file formal complaints against GEO (they will mail you the forms, or you can access the forms on their website at www.myfloridalegal.com) they will open an investigation. They told me my complaint alone was not enough to open an investigation, so PLEASE - file a formal complaint - there is power in numbers.

I just got another call today from Mr. Chey's other harassing number with the same harassing recorded message:
904-271-1863
I am reporting Chey to the FTC right now. (again)

Just to add to the list, I've been receiving these calls for a while and have tried to talk to someone to have my number removed but with no luck. I like the idea of using a whistle or airhorn when they get on the line. Also would like to know if anyone has had someone keep an appointment to find out what their scam is.

A live person from this despicable outfit called last week and wouldn't stop reading their script long enough for me to point out that they had reached my mother's hospital room!
They've called me on my land line and cell phone at least 30 times. They don't identify their company and rarely use the same number twice. Nasty people. I hope they end up a little closer to the fire in Hell.
And how do they make sales if they never show up for appointments? Maybe the previous person lynched them. :)
Benjamin 2011-03-21 23:57:53 Unknown
I've filed two FCC complaints, but I'm not even sure who the complaint should be filed against. They're using dialers with different numbers on calling lists they probably found from the DO NOT CALL list.

Hi guys. I've gotten the same script from many different numbers. I started keeping a log of the numbers. I've nicely asked all to stop calling. Nice doesn't work. So, when I see any of their various numbers, I answer and wait for the live human. When they start talking, I give them a long blast from the whistle I bought. This is the same method the cops used to tell us to use for harrassing, annoying or obscene phone calls. These jokers fit all three. If they don't mind the ear splitting shrill from the whistle, I don't mind them calling. TTWWWEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT.

i just called and added my complaint against this nuisance with the FTC. this moron is potentially facing a class action lawsuit under FTC rules and regs. what a maroon.

I received a call from 904-859-5142 on my cell phone at 4:27 PM, Monday 3/21/11. No message was left and when I called this number from my office land line I listened to a recorded message that said that this number is unable to accept any calls at this time. I have my cell phone number on the do-not-call list but I will go check and renew the listing if possible. This is the second time I received such a call. I normally don't answer my cell phone at work because of reception and I don't normally answer calls whose source is unknown to me.

These guys have called me for the past several months, almost daily and often several times daily. They are offering a free home energy assessment to see if I qualify for $3,700 in stimulus money for energy efficiency upgrades. Sounds great, but I have a fairly new home with many energy-efficiency features so I'm not interested. So far, I've asked them to remove me from their call list three times. This past call, the woman who answered said the company was the "Global Energy Organization" and she kept pressuring me into signing up for the audit. Maybe I'll start messing with their minds if they call again.

03/21/ 2011 Yes, their machine calls me every day except Sundays, often now twice a day, I have repeatedly asked them to put me on their do not call list, I am on the Federal do nto call list, When they call I have pushed whatever button is supposed to take me off the machine , for at least the last three months this has gone on, I have even scheduled an appointment with them so I could see someone face to face and get their information documents so I could turn it into the State Attorney General, but they are on shows so far. So just now I called the Federal Trade Commission and FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT, THEY WILL GET HEM. I am asking that you do the same , the FTC toll free line is 877-382-4357.

We have been receiving these too (home and cell) and have asked them to stop. Just reported to the National Do Not Call Registry in case they do not honor our request.
Here is the link to the registry if you want to do the same:

I just got a call from this number stating that due to the recent stimulus passed by the government, I can get a free energy evaluation setup today. They said to press 1 to setup my free evaluation.
hilda 2011-03-19 15:41:32 Unknown
Be careful about punching in the "#1" it could allow them access to your bank acct or credit card
co. Surely someone can put a stop to these idiots pests soon!!!

I called AT&T ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. I REPORTED TO FPL not much help BUT AT LEAST THEY KNOW ABOUT IT. ALSO ADVISED THE SHERRIF'S DEPT and went to my bank to check on activity of my acct.

Unfortunately, I am receiving these calls too. Same scenario about energy audit. It seems that this company uses multiple cell phones and reporting them to Federal No Call for violations is getting me no where. Pressing their opt out (#2) doesn't work either. The phone numbers used on me so far is: 904-859-5142, 772-924-4478, 886-409-3996, 904-874-8427, 904-514-0825. All of the area codes are Florida.
