Got 2 text messages from 801-610 numbers. Sucks when I have to pay for the messages

Called me 10 times within a few days..usually they hang up after a few rings, finally spoke to someone today and they claimed to be from a survey company but the background noise was very odd and the caller did not sound professional in any way.

I looked it up and according to a website the number is from Veracity Communications.

Multiple calls from this number. Last time I answered I got a guy yelling "hello? HELLO?" at me. Hung up.

this number (801-610-4479) called my mothers phone and asked for me... my mother replied i was not there.... then someone asked my mother if i lived there.... she replied nooo?.... and then they hung up.... i dont know anyone from utah..... i dont know how they got my mothers phone number with my name.... i called back about 50 times and only got a lost connection signal.... i called 411 and asked them to indentify the number, all they could give me was either a pay phone or a private number..... it seems very strange.....  i would like to know who it is, what they want, and how they got my info.....i would even be tempted to walk into their establishment and get some answers.....

Pain in the butt. Answer and it is a hang up. How can it be prevented?

I too am getting calls from this number; I have "do not call service" if I find out who it is I will process complaint -- this is an invasion of privacy as far as  I am concerned

Are you kidding me? I just typed in the number to see what would come up and this site came up weird.

Just got a call from this number. A lady wanted to conduct a research study. I said that I do not take any surveys and kindly asked where she got my number from. She replied "I don't know" and hung up on me.

Blocked them on my awesome Panasonic phone.

Called twice today and I didn't answer.  The caller ID said Opinion Research.  Went to Google and searched and here is the website: http://www.opinionresearch.com/ (obviously).

The company calls us everyday.

My caller ID says Opinion Research.  I Googled them and they are an official opinion research company associated with various nat'l corps., i.e., CNN, etc.  Just block their number if you don't want to hear from them.....

Hi my daughter is young she's had the same phone for a few years same phone number. Of course we get people calling the wrong number but this has gotten way out of line. She's very frightened and she googles the number and found this site and she is really worries she answered the phone and said they hung up. She is worried she's in danger. I'm going to try to block that blasted number the b*****ds need to leave my baby alone.

Two calls the last two evenings. Can't connect when I call back. Don't know more.

How do you block them from calling or who do you report t hem to?

We've recieved 3 calls in the past three days.  By the time we answer the caller has hung up.  When we tried to return the call we get a recording that the number is "temporarily unavailable".

Same numbers been calling me for the last 3 days. Twice today. I even answered and talked to a lady yesterday about some health coverage survey she wanted. I told her I was not interested and I can't believe they still called me today after I said no! Hope they call again...cus I won't be so nice

They call my house then my cell phone! I try to call back, but it says the number is unavailable?!?! I do know people in Utah but no immature crankers!

You answer the call and they HANG UP.  Five times in two days.  I am tired of it! It's horrible someone would do this!

this number called alst night, asked for our son BY NAME and hung up.  Today, it's been calling every 2 hours.  The caller ID changes every time, but it's a bunch of numbers.
God i hate this.

Took another call around 3pm (see above) and it was a health care opinion poll "being conducted in 'your' area". Right away you know that is B.S. Told guy he could ask any questions he wanted and I would decide whether or not  to answer them. He then asked my age and I told him I was seventy for the heck of it. He told me he'd filled "his quota" for that age group and could not question me. Spoiled my fun. Maybe it's a scam for the under-65 crowd that use private insurance.

They are persistent ! 3 calls in less than 16 hours - 7pm, 905pm Fri and prior to 930am Sat from AMERICAN FOR UT (possibly American Fork, UT). Bet they call again today. Plan to answer next call and play dumb to find out what they are up to.

I have received multiple calls from this number in the last 24 hours. Nobody answers when I pick up and I am unable to connect when I try dialing.

Call came in after 9:00 p.m.  When answered, I heard background noise then they hung up.
