I am a Gold Canyon consultant and received a similar email using the name Karen Jones.

My daughter is Mary Kay cosultant and recieve the same type of correspondance.  The check was from Transperfect Translations International Inc.  I reached out to them and recieved an email that this was a scam, they are working with local law enforcment but this is epidimic and coming from overseas.

Texted me saying she had an order for me but wanted to send it to me over email so he asked for my email. Sent me an order that was copy and pasted from the site. She wanted $200.00 worth of product. Said she was deaf and didn't use credit card so would send a check from her boss. (why not a check from her?) Asked for all me info too of course. SCAM

My case is similar, but with Tupperware. I confess I had a little gut feeling but my boyfriend realy found this whole thing fishy, so i goggled and goggled and goggled.... and, hei, look what i found! it is amazing how almost everything is the same! (i pasted two of her messages below)
She goes by Mary Martinez and her daughter is Sonia Martinez, becoming 20 on the 29th of this month of September.
Sonia apparently works at a CVS Phamacy in Ilinois where the products should be sent to - here is the address:

At this time i am waiting for the "certified check" - next step? .... no idea... any suggestions?

I am also a Mary Kay beauty consultant. I have received a scam text yesterday and today. The first one is from the number 435-200-3873 and the email attached is Kitty.harley01@gmail.com and the second is for the number 302-400-3281 with the email as mellisapowell104@yahoo.com!!! The 302 number claimed to be a deaf woman needing these things for her daughters wedding!! I am ignoring the 435 number !!!!

I received an email from Susan Head (same story about being deaf and in the hospital from an accident) from my Gold Canyon Site wanting to order for her daughter's wedding, received a check for $2,000.00 for a $200.00 order - RED FLAG!!!  I called the bank the check was drawn on and also the company the check was drawn on.     Wanted me to send the remainer of the money to Debby Head at 321 Honors Drive, Dhorewood, Il 60404

I have been scammed. I am also an Independent Beauticontrol consultant.  Her e-mail was tiffanysandra748@yahoo.com, she had a daughter turning 21, and getting married, Nicole Head, 321 Honors Dr., Sherwood ,IL 60404, She is deaf.

I wish I had checked her out and seen your post before I was scammed, by this person.

This happened to me as well unfortunately I did not read this soon enough!  I did email her back and told her I would not be doing business with her and not to contact me again. What do I do if she sends the check anyways.

I received a message very similar to the one other Stampin' Up consultants have received...right down to the products and daughter's name.

I'm taking all of my emails to/from this person into the local police station. It'd be nice if they could locate the source!

She also contacted me today about candle products to purchase. She claimed she couldn't order from my online site directly because she was deaf. Like honestly. I am reporting to the police.

How very interesting - She is really running a scam.  I'm a Stampin'Up! Demonstrator and live in IL but none-the-less, this is crazy.  All the same type of info except the names which are Tina Savage and daughter Nicole Savage but same exact address.  I received 2 (I'm sure that was a mistake - they were sort of stuck together) from the Post Office.  They weren't made out to anyone so that was a tipoff.  When I asked our postmistress about it there is a definite way to know if they are valid and that is a water mark that should appear on the money order.  It wasn't there.  It's terrible that these people think we are dumb and gullible.  I too am collecting info and will be taking it to the police and will contact the Postal Inspector's office as that is mail fraud.  I hope they get them good - they are such a nuisance and the unfortunate thing is at the beginning you don't know if they are a real customer or not.  If I had received an order from someone 1500 miles away that also would have made me leary but this was fairly close by.  I have yet to receive her contact info and without it an order can't be placed anyway.  Everyone just needs to be really on their toes.  Oh and yes, there were 2 money orders exactly the same except numbered consecutively - I'm sure she didn't even realize they were together.  I didn't until I took it to the PO and the postmistress said "did you realize there are 2 of them".  I hope something can get done.

I received an email yesterday from the same lady using the same story.  Would not have been suspecious had I not had an email 2 weeks ago from another demonstrator questioning a similar situation.  Beware of these scams!!

I'm w norwex n got the exact same thing too n then the bible verses n that she's in the hospital....geez I'm just curious why we can't catch the person if they are sending checks?

I am a BeautiControl consultant and recieved the email today.  I did respond and asked for her phone number and she sent back to me her address instead.  It was suspicious, because, she would not order from my website.  I am glad I did a little reseach before responding again.  I felt it was a scam, but wasn't quite sure.  I have received other scam emails, but in those emails the grammer was so poor that it was obvious of being a scam.

Everyone be careful not to get caught up in such a scam.

I recently got this same message from Tina Savage wanting to put an order in for S/U, but I figured out right away that it probably was a scam.  I told her to go on my website and put the order in - it didn't happen!  She said she is blind and doesn't have a credit card to place an order online - so needless to say, I have not responded any further since she has given me the same old song and dance that she would send me a money order or cashiers check and then I could place the check.  No Thanks!

i am from nikken as well! and i got an email from a woman named Kristi F. saying shes deaf and in the hospital and the previous rep died from cancer and she needs money for her daughter's wedding. etc.

the number she gave me was 347-973-3587, it comes from new york which really got me because why would a woman from nebraska have a number that's in new york.

i also got the IP address from which the person emailed me and it is located at some De Anza college in mountain view, CA! Like what is this? These people are seriously so dumb they think they can get away with all of this. With all the technology we have nowadays we can easily catch them and their schemes.

Hello...I am an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up!  I too have received an email very similar to what you reported back in September.  Thank you for posting that information as it has helped me as well to determine that this is a scam.  I was googling the address 321 Honors Dr, Shorewood, IL  60404 where the daughter Nicole Head is supposed to live & be having her 21st birthday soon. (Ha Ha...wish my 21st birthday lasted that long!) Anyway, the mother's name is supposedly Tina Savage and she is deaf and not computer literate and has no credit card.  But does have a financial clerk.  Scam, scam, scam.  How much better our world would be if the scammers would put half the effort they put into scamming everyone into doing good works in our world!
