"Chad" calling from Onset Financial. Asked for our Controller by first name only (like they were GOOD friends). Sent to VM.  

Called again. Call rolled to my extension since the receptionist was on our phone system paging. Too bad the page over rode what the caller was saying-they hung up! I did IM our receptionist a warning regarding this company after reading all the comments. Rude and pushy will be hung up on ASAP, others sent to generic VM.

Called and asked for "VP of Finance".  When I asked what the call was regarding, he said company expenditures and capital gains.  YAWN....Sent to a generic voicemail

Also need to provide name of sales person with Onset Financial that was incredibly rude, nasty, demanding- Taylor Weeks; don't give him the time of day, he will not let up with badgering you and using intimidation to to get what he wants, nastiest man I have ever dealt with in business ever!!!

We get these people calling constantly disrupting business- rude, aggressive, beligerant, demanding. Just report them as soon as you start to get calls from them, they never let up ever!

Do not deal with Onset Financial. They have poor tactics to gain business, untrustworthy, are extremely rude and relentless with calling daily interrupting our business and meetings. Website gives you no way to file a complaint and when I called their number to ask that they STOP these constant calls, the person says 'oh I just don't know who made the calls'....  Record the date/time of every call and start reporting them to the FCC!!!  Because they will NEVER stop calling...

Just got a call from Mike asking to speak w/our CEO.  When I blocked him, he wanted to speak with our controller or CFO.  He's extremely rude and aggressive.

This company is a nuisance - I haven't returned their call - yet they call at least once a month -

Ed from Onset Financial called asking to speak with the owner and I told him that he was unavailable and I could take a message for him. He was very reluctant about leaving a message and claimed he had spoken to our owner before (which is hard to believe since he is never in the office) and he had connected him to his controller. I told him it would be easier to take a message since our owner is constantly in and out of the office frequently and Ed insisted that is why the owner gave him to the controller before but couldn't remember his name (this was a lie). I put him on hold and spoke to his assistant and she had no idea who he was or who the company was but she is the controller and just put him in her voicemail. He was okay with being put in her voicemail.

Rod called again. Asked for "Paul". there is no "paul" here. Then asked for someone else. Not available and won't be available to cold call sales people.

They call us once in awhile and usually ask for someone in accounting.  Today he asked for our controller by name.  I transferred him but didn't pay attention to whether she picked up or not.  Now that I know what's going on I'll simply tell them no one is available the next time they call.

That makes sense . . . they leave me a 3 minute message of nothing.  I guess that fills out their customer call stats, but doesn't generate much revenue.

Cons ? They record all your phone calls, but not just record, but listen into them as well. It makes it hard to relax and be yourself on the phones because you know someone else is on the call with you.

Also, they have a big screen TV mounted on the wall that everyone can see on the sales floor, but unfortunately it's not what you think. On the TV shows every person?s name with their statistics for the day in ranking order. The TV shows how many phone calls you've made, how many minutes you've been on the phone, and how many leads you have. The person with the most calls, most minutes, and most leads gets on the top of the board (TV). Everyone hates this because it creates unwanted competition between the sales guys. All the numbers on the board are fake though. What people do is make fake phone calls and purposely stay on the line as long as possible so you can increase your minute time. They will call companies and circle through the automated service.

Furthermore, they will bring you into their office for a "meeting." In this meeting they tell you that you that you are lucky to have a job at Onset and you need to step up your work. They say they have a lot of other people that are in line to have a job like this. So pretty much they told me that if I don't step it up, they will let me go. I am a hard worker, very hard. I have a family to support so I know that my work ethic is where it needs to be. This was their way to intimidate me, and it did.

They have company events, but the sales guys are not invited. It's only for the "executives". I couldn't believe it when I found this out. I felt sick to my stomach because I realized I was just an employee and not a person. I didn't dare say anything because I wanted to keep my job.

They are always hiring, always. The turnover rate is very high at this place. I only lasted 4 months before I was let go. Three other people I was hired with were let go as well, and guess what? I saw an ad on Ksl the next day saying they were hiring. I bet if you look right now, they will be hiring. Please don't work here, and if you do, don't plan on lasting long.

Advice to Senior Management ? The sales guys are more than just employees, they are people too.

This is a very persistent equipment finance company.  I've been trying to make them go away for years now.

Our company just got screwed by these guys. I guess they're a newer company out of Utah. The potential transaction cost us $250,000! They said they could do it, assured us we were fine, then pulled a bait and switch.

Any number I don't recognize immediately gets sent to voice mail.
Thanks to all previous posters on this number....Think I'll just have some fun if / when he calls back again....

Same as above complaints, very persistant. When I told him All CFO's CCO's and controllers where in a meeting, he laughed and said "isnt that convenient"    We are a VERY LARGE Transportation company, no one gets through me unless the call is being returned or the name can be pronounced correctly.  Caller ID is wonderful, also the capability to Block his A**! :)

Ryan Logan calls over and over and over and over. So annoying. Asked multiple times to be taken off the list.. or put on a do not call list.... i mean... even a substandard salesperson would learn to not waste their time. Maybe make a note to call once a month? Once a quarter would be nice. I'm such a dreamer.

Beware the snotty Ryan Logan of Onset. He is rude, condescending and downright mean. He called saying he spoke with our CFO (a lie), said he used work with an employee that left our firm 8 months prior (I'm so sure). What a complete waste of my time. He's firmly on the scumbag list.

A caller from this number just left me a voicemail with gunshots in the background. With everything happening in Boston today, I find this absolutely disgusting and will be filing a criminal complaint. The company's name is Onset Financial.

There seems to be a coven of these a-holes in Utah.  Must be lax banking laws.  Thank god for caller ID.

I got a call today & also a few times this year from this same caller asking for The Controller/CFO very giddy & nice. These people are sales looking to make new business from getting info. from the Internet. Beware!

Haha -- just got called from this number on 1/9 4:40pm and they left a message to please call Stephanie Abrams ...  Stephanie Abrams is an on-camera analyst for the Weather Channel.  I suppose the woman caller is trying to fake us out with a familiar name we have heard somewhere but cannot place.  She rattled off the number so fast I had to replay the VM 4 times!  801-878-0800 x644.

Just got a call from this number.  Asked to speak to our controller and asked for him by his name. Put it straight through to voicemail. He dialed 0 to get back to me and said "it went straight to voicemail do you know if he is in?" I just said "if he didn't answer then you will have to leave a voicemail." He was annoyed and asked me to put him back to voicemail.
