If you have a smart phone or windows phone you can block the number by holding your finger on the number until the option pops up to delete the number or block the number

This is ridiculous  how do you stop them from calling the block only lasts 60 days then they are back.

Maybe answering with an air horn would discourage them or a police/rape whistle.

This number keeps calling my home and said my name and don't talk after words and I told them if it is so important then write me but they continue to call so I blocked them from my phone but they will use other numbers to bother me and not talk. The number comes up but it comes up V52319145600013 801-889-1517 and I did call them back and it was a recording. This is why I left a message. I have a no calling from telemarketing and they still call. The name never appears on my display and sometime unknown number, how do you make them stop? Why couldn't they just tell you what they want and stop calling after that.

I keep getting calls from that number. No one says anything and the disconnect. I call back and it goes to a voice message box. I've asked them to stop calling but the don't!

There is a REJECT CALL place on my cell. So when they call it always gets rejected.

These are new robots, to me, and they called twice today, did not pick  up either time.
One was at 12:29 pm and then again at 3:54 pm, Pacific.

Do not pick up, look at your called ID .. they will eventually give it up.

If you applied for a legitimate job, provided your contact information, you gave a telemarketer your number, who will sell it to any other telemarketers who pay good money for new leads.   It's a scam that squeaks in under the law, because they got your number under false pretenses.  You gave it up even if it wasn't to who you thought you gave it to.  I applied for a clerical job, turns out not to be legit.  Too late.. my number is out there and passed around like a cheap w**re on a Saturday night.   The calls never stop.  Even if this one stops calling you, he's probably sold it to anyone needing new leads, like insurance sales people, web site promoters, and even Google Ads... it never stops.  You are now fair game to anyone with a buck to buy your information.  The Do Not Call list can't do anything because at some point somewhere, you gave somebody the number and tacit permission to call you.  Doesn't matter if it was under false pretenses.  And you can't stop them.

Work from home telemarketer (who buy and sell each others "lists")   It will NEVER stop.  Because once they have your number from a legitimate source they can bypass the intent of the Do Not Call Registry and call and call and call.   It could be something as innocent as APPLYING for a legitimate job, leaving your contact information and the job opening is bogus, but you've just provided your number.   And they can legally harass the carp out of you with it, because you gave your number, even if it was under false pretenses on their part.    Good luck getting it to end... because no matter how many of them you tell NO to, they've already made your number available to every single telemarketer looking for new leads.  (and it's not a job, it's an "investment in your own business".)  whatever. ... it's a ploy to seperate you from your money.   Guarraneed.   I get up to 7 - 8 calls a day from this and others, because I applied for a clerical job that didn't turn out to be real.

They wont stop calling me

This a***ole called my number and asked if I was.... ( he mentioned my exact first and last name)!

Then he hanged up. His voice sounded like a guy in his 55 or 60's.

I called back and left a voicemail, asking for information.  No answer!!

To block a # on your cellphone, simply create a contact (ie: Telemarketer), and set silent ring and no vibration for that contact.  Then as you get more calls from other telemarketers at other numbers, simply add the new number to the Telemarketer contact.  Works great!

I am getting daily calls from this number 801-889-1517.  No message is left.  I appreciate the postings on this site.  It saves me a lot of time.

Unwanted and disturbing  phone call

These cowards keep calling me although I've told them to remove my number from their call list several times. When they call and they don't feel I'm embracing their call with open arms they simply hang up on me. Cowards! Teleterrorists! Punks and Punkettes!

There sis an app that you can download to your cell phone and it will block unwanted calls and SMS messages.
The app is called NQ Mobile Manager, there  is a free version and a Premium.
The free version does a good job.

this person calls, no answer, I answered he said gram and mumbels I asked to repeat and hangs up , keeps calling to old to keep running to phone. my hex to him may he have the runs for 21 days and nights

keeps unwanted calls coming.

Well this number called me in the middle of the night on my cell phone in an undisclosed location in the Middle East and it made me really grumpy.  I have a home leave coming up and I live near SLC.  Thanks for his name and address.  

Scam. I mentioned being a network security engineer & asked if this aws in reference to Zion Bank in Utah.
They hung up.

2-3 calls/day for the past week. Annoying!

calls 3-4 times a day  never leaves a message

I can block this number on my IPhone 4S. They shall bother me no more!

Same here. They have called 4 times today. I answered twice. The first time I said I wasn't here. The second time I just started yelling that I'm on the Do Not Call List and they had better not call my number again. A girl just sighed and hung up.
