We have a number 801-902-3154 that calls the branch atleast once per day and sometimes more.  There is never anyone there.  We don't hear it hang up, there is just no one there.  It is not like a fax noise. Is it possible to get this number blocked so that it will no longer ring at the branch?  This is quite annoying when there are customers in the office and you need to answer the phone for no reason.

I did more or less the same thing...put them on my block call list......don't hear a thing when the call comes through....will show up on my caller ID listing so I just delete them and go on with my day or evening.

I had the same call 821-902-3154 but they left a 1800 number to call. What I reading it's about debt but I don'tg have any issues or never had a Discover card. This must be some scam and should be looked into.

This is Discover and it is them trying to collect a debt.  I'm going through a settlement program right now, and they are very persistant (about 10 calls a day, 7 days a week).

If you can, just ignore them to the best of your ability.  Believe me, I know it's hard to do, but in the state of economy we are in right now, you shouldn't have to deal with any more stress then you have to.

I strongly do suggest that if you are having a hard time paying your credit card debt and have over $10,000 in total credit card debt, you should look into a debt settlement program.  I am working with Debt Settlement America, and only have been since Sept of 2008, but it was the best decision I've ever made.  I've already settled one of my credit card accounts for only 40% of what I owed, and I've only been in the program 6 months.  In about another 18 months I will be completely debt free!

I don't work for the settlement company or anything, I'm just a consumer letting you know it was such a good decision for me!  Good Luck to you All!!

I added them to my contacts in my phone under "annoying caller".  Then I gave that contact a ring tone of silent.  I never hear them and never pick up.

Helen must work for one of those debt settlement companies. They do not work and are affiliated with the credit card providers. Do yourself a favor for about $1500-$2500 in attorney fees you can be debt free by filing for bankrupcy. The calls will stop and you can get on with your life.

They called on a Sat at 12pm looking for my sister said it was an important call regarding Discover and that she had called them and they were returning her call. They wouldn't really say what it was regarding when asked what it was about. They just said it's important to call them back and gave us an 800 #. I called my sister about it and she said she never called them. She called the 800 # and it was disconnected. It's a scam. Remember not to give these people any of your personal information!!!

I got a call from them at 7:30am (I work mid shift/ nights). I didn't answer and they didn't leave a vox mail. I read some of the other posts here saying it is Discover. Well - I don't have an account w/ them! Never have.

I've had a couple different accounts with Discover Card and never got a call form them until now. Due to uncontrollable financial situations I can no longer pay my acct and am working to figure something out w/o filing for bankruptcy. They have left numerous messages on my answering machine with differetn voices saying we have this plan and that plan etc. I never rec'd a call from them or this # until my acct became delinquent.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for weeks. Sometimes they leave a message, sometimes they don't. It's extremely annoying. They did this another time a few months ago, when I was told my account was overdue a partial payment and she insisted I make the payment with her over the phone. I refused and said I would log into the discover website myself and take care of it; when I did that she became extremely agitated and controlling, and kept asking when I might do that. I am baffled by the posts saying this is a legitimate number because my account has been up to date this whole time. And now, they are still calling, although I don't have the number they are calling anywhere in my accout registration. It's a scam, and my gutt is always right. Block them and don't bother. And those who say they are legit number, must be working for them. If I could, I'd shock the hell out of every last one of them through the phone with my taizer.

Well, I stand corrected. They are Discover numbers. The original rep I talked to didn't have a clue apparently. The fraud division was very helpful on this.

WOW, I gotta say these $%%^&*!*&$#@ are pretty persistent.
These Discover freaks in the collections dept. call me everday, every hour, and at all hours. I do owe them, but can't afford/ or want to pay them, especially if they're calling my cell at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
I disabled my voice mail because it kept getting full with their nothings! I only found out who they were recently. If you can ignore them, just do, unless you are going to pay them, but not many options for us, except changing our numbers...and never call them from our actual phones since they seem to be able to store it into their system!!!!!!!

Numerous calls - over 20. No one says anything, but the caller stays on the phone, except for one call where two males were looking at pictures of women and saying how "hot" and "cute" they are.  STOP CALLING!

"Bill" from Discover card, which I consider to be somewhat ironic, telling me that it is "very important" that I return his call.
