not completely true.. i have received calls from the irs before. and they were legit calls at that. but this isn't from the irs. evidently, the irs may be selling the info of tax dodgers to tax counseling companies.
when i get out of office and my work visa expires, i may finally decide to actually file mine. I don't have to file jointly because Michelle doesn't work. The tax rate in Ghana are killer.

Also be aware that the IRS does not call you over the telephone concerning your taxes. You will be notified via the USPS mail...Obviously, Any phone call such as you described is a scam in progress.....Since you already know this, because you have not filed a tax yet, be sure to remember in the future that the IRS contacts people by mail concering their taxs.
