I have been receiving calls from these people all week! Same Intro: This is 'So and So' with the CDC conducting a survey regarding the Health of Gulf Coast residents. I would tell them I am not willing to participate and immediately hang up. Today I received a call from "Lacresha" same intro. I again said I am uninterested in participating, requested that my number be removed from the database, told her this was annoying and hung up. Well, Lacresha called back and proceeded to curse at my minor daughter. I guess she assumed I was answering the phone. My daughter was extremely upset so I called to submit a complaint to the CDC. Hopefully something will be done. I am a citizen/taxpayer, no one should be subjected to this type of treatment.

The voice mail message said, "My name  is Derrick from the CDC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, calling about an important survey of Gulf Coast residents.  Please call us back at 877-350-8705."

This number has called my house 3 times today.

Here is an update on this number.  I called the toll free number in the message and it appears to be a legitimate survey.  I did not yet participate due to the reply I received that all survey staff were busy.  I declined to leave a message.  This 802 phone number belongs to a company named, 'ICF Macro', which has been contracted by the CDC to conduct the survey.

No one spoke.

They called our house twice today & left a callback # on our answering machine for us to call back & to take part of a survey about "The Health of the Gulf Coast.". I didn't want to take part of a survey & there are still calling. There's no way for them to stop calling unless somebody's interested to take part of the survey that these people are conducting.

I know some folks claim it's not a true survey, but I did some investigation, and this is what I have found.

Thank you Mr Duke of Earl, I called that Beth lady and asked to be taken off the list.  They have called multiple times and I asked them to remove my number, but they keep calling.  Maybe the Beth lady will actually get me off the calling list.  Good luck to all!

I have received calls daily (multiple times sometimes) from the "CDC" with questions about gulf coast health. Despite asking to be taken off the list at least three times, we are still getting the calls.

They called from a town named South Burlin, Vermont claiming to be The Center for Disease Control. They were calling for the past 3 weeks asking me to take part in a survey about "The Health Of The Gulf Coast". They left a message day before yesterday & left a name & callback number for me to call back. I didn't respond to it. So I deleted the message from the answering machine after I listened to it. They've called once since  then but they left no messages what so ever. If they ever wanted to know about the health of the gulf coast, they should come & take a look for themselves.

They been calling our house everyday especially during the evening time & they wanted me to take part of a survey about the "Health of the Gulf Coast". I hung up on them after I told them "I'm not interested." &  yet they are still calling. Why are they calling from Vermont? They should come down & take a look for themselves how healthy the gulf coast really is.

In the past week I have received about 15 calls from this number. They call early in the morning , during the day and as late as 9 or 10 pm.
Since it shows Unknown - I do not answer.  They have never left a message.

I just got off the phone with "Beth," who was very courteous, apologetic, and cooperative in removing my number.  A disability limits my phone usage, so thanks to everyone for the info, help, and mostly for just being nice!  Peace.

The company doing the calling is ICS Macro, contracted by the government it seems.  Despite my request that I be taken off their list, I keep getting calls.  This morning I called the following officer for the company, based in Springfield Ohio:

They've called several times.  They never leave a message on the machine. But twice I have answered and been told they were taking a survey from the Center For Disease Control, (CDC).  I've told them twice to stop calling......  We'll see.

He would not take NO for an answer said that he was with the "Gulf Coast Health Survey", answered 3 questions and hung up on him. Shame on these people, hopefully other folks will read this when they call. What a bunch of liars!!!!

They left a message two days ago saying they were from the Center for Disease Control wishing us to take part in a health survey.  They left a callback number but I didn't call them back.  They've called back three or four times since then but leave no more messages.  It's annoying.

Have gotten numerous calls from this number.  At times someone speaks saying they are taking a health survey; at other times they say it is a survey about diseases.  I told them I did not wish to take part, but I kept getting calls from this number (So. Burlington, VT) .  The most recent calls hang up immediately when I pick up the receiver.  Good thing I just purchased "call rejection" from my phone provider -- I entered this number and am bothered no more with these annoying people.
