A shill collector that don't have the balls to call people with a legit number or send a letter of validation?

I got a call from this number. If you wait long enough, a real person will pick up. I waited because I got tired of the mysterious calls. They were trying to reach the person who used to have my phone number (land line). From the many such calls I've received, I think those folks owed a lot of money, so I'm pretty certain this is a bill collector.

It is a VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW for telemarketers to make "robocalls" your cell phone, yet that's exactly what happened to me just now. If YOU get such a call on your cell phone, insist on talking to a live person and then tell that person that the call is illegal.

I have received calls from this number on and off for about 6 months, it seems like. If I knew how to stop it I would. If anyone knows what recourse to take to get this stopped please post something. When you do a reverse look up on whitepages.com it says that the number is registered in fairhaven and that it is a VOIP number so it could really be anywhere.

I think this number is a scam it says that they dont accept blocked calls and that they are offering me a gift and to push 1.

6 times today!!! just a beep then nothing...Congress doesn't understand or give a crap about telemarketing phishing scams....

Keeps calling me several times a day at times. Says "Fair Haven VT" which is probably fake but I live in VT so they probably think I'll answer if it seems local, or they think it is for me (it isn't)  I answered it once, thinking it might be someone I know and they were asking for money for the Special Olympics or something. I hung up on them. I had answered one other time (it sometimes says other towns in VT on it) and it was something else, so I didn't think it was legit. Nothing against Special Olympics. I keep reporting calls to the DO NOT CALL registry, does that really work? Maybe they say they are a non profit and allowed to call? They hang up on my machine so I just don't answer anymore.

This number calls me daily. It is very annoying.

I get these calls often ... usually a recording with some offer... I vwe won a trip, or they will sue someone for me if Ive taken a particular drug.. They have an option to unsubscribe... doesnt work... will report them to state atty general

Multiple calls, no message left and no person on other end if we pick up.  Also, we are supposed to be in the Do Not Call registry.

I tried calling the number back and it says that is WCA Subscriber Services. No idea how they got my number or who they are.

This is an automated caller that rotates through different marketing schemes. The last time they calls it was for IRS tax relief-something I don;t need at all-and the time before that it was an injury law firm.

Don't do as the previous person says. Do as I do. I file FCC complaints and file small claims cases against the firms that HIRE these call centers. It is a guaranteed victory and you end up with money in your pocket for the trouble. Try it and see how quickly this type of call will end if everyone exercises their rights to sue!

Got a call last week then again this morning, no message left and not a known number

This number has called me a few times.  When I answer, there is no one there.

I called the number back.  It is a sales site, calling with travel deals.  All that has to be done is to call it back and enter your phone number.  They will put you on their do not call list.  If they call again, I will do what I always do...act as though I don't understand them.  "Are you taking me on a trip?" Where are we doing?" "What should I pack?" etc.  They get tired of the questions and, if they haven't already, will take you off their list as there is little to no chance they will get a sale from you.  Yes, this is a moment or two out of your day, but you get a chance to confuse and upset them - turn about is fair play.

Can't be a bill collector- I don't have any outstanding bills, especially nothing associated with Fair Haven- there's nothing there!!  Called my cell as well, but didn't leave me a message.

Called my cell, left no message.   411.com says it's a landline in Fair Haven VT.   Probably a bill collector, but not certain.
