I get a call from this number quite often and there is always an automated message saying that I need to renew my warranty on my vehicle.  It says to press 2 to take my name off the list, I do so, then they hang up.  I also get calls from several other numbers with the same automated message and they seem to cycle through.  A couple of weeks ago I put my number down on the "Do Not Call" list.

How do we get these turkeys to stop calling. This is one of many that continue to call even though I have inputted several times to have my name removed. I think that they just move to another number if they find out you answered. So, I have stopped answering unless I recognize the number. I now type in all numbers into Google to check on them. There are so many of THEM! I say we purchase a 'dialer' and constantly call them. Whose with me?

I get the same call both at home AND at work. And like Jim B. my work phone is also a military number so it would have never been used for any kind of purchase, so that eliminates them getting it from some kind of "list".

Last time I received this call at work, I hit the "1" to talk to a rep...and she asked for the make and model of my car. That's when I said "I am sure you would be calling ME...to get the "warrantee" renewed on military vehicles...since this IS a military installation phone number!" ..... Of course she hung up, but they still call back daily. I just don't answer any more when I see that familiar number. How can this be stopped? I am sick of the calls at home and at work...yet hitting the "2" does NOT take you off thier "list".

I agree these people are scum of the earth. I hate them. Today I picked the call and pressed one. Some idiot picks the phone and asks my car year and make. When I ask him he should be having on his side since he called me, he hung up the phone. I am on the do-not-call list. Looks like that list is broken

They wont answer my call. Maybe Because I'm a unlisted number. It seems that they amongst others have no respect for the Do not call list. A suggestion I have if you have a computer with a modem, is to use a piece of software called Identafone Pro or something similar. I bought this several years ago and it has made a big difference even in todays climate of spoofed caller ID's. You can try it for free.
I can block out these numbers or block of numbers such as 8oo, 866 and other toll free numbers or blocks of a specific area codes. When a blocked number calls they get a line no longer in service tone with a message that you don't receive these kind of calls. Generally, it will automatically take your number off the auto dialers they use. I don't represent this software or company and make no money from this so there will be no link, just google it.

These people are the scum of the earth.  Probably organized crime dirtbags.  Last call I got through and then advised "Jason" that I would need his personal information before proceeding further.  The coward hung up.  They are on the same level as terrorists.  They should be taken out with extreme prejudice, and all workers prosecuted, regardless of level of involvement.

I get calls 3 or 4 times a day from 802-458-4186.  They want me to renew my car warantee.  Problem is that this is a military phone, and I'm too busy for such crap.  I press 2 to get off the call list, but the calls keep coming.  I press one to talk with a rep, and as soon as I tell them I want off the list they hang up.  Where can I point my nuke?

This number calls me every morning. When I answer no person or machine speaks. Lately I place the call on speakerphone, waiting for the recording so I can press "2" (or whatever). No recording ever comes on and the line is dropped. I am already on the do-not-call list; any suggestions?

These guys keep calling me too. I pressed 1 to get someone on the phone and the guy asks for my car's make, model and year.  When I ask "don't you have that you called me saying my warranty needs renewing", they hang up on me.  The next time after he said the company name "Vehicle Protection _____" I asked him to repeat the company name and he hung up.

My caller ID says Middleburg VT 1-802-458-4186

I'm sure they manage to scam some people out of money everyday.

As with the rest of you, I keep getting these same Warranty Service Center calls on various numbers and the MO is the same.  If I press 2, they hang up and keep calling, if I press 1 and ask any questions, they hang up on me and keep calling.  Of course calling back these numbers goes no where.  It sounds illegal to me, can't law enforcement get involved?

Also, this is a business phone they keep calling, so I know there full of it since I never give out this number when making purchases.

My phone calls are really no different, it's just nice to know I'm not the only one angry about getting called incessantly.  One would think if you're going to scam a person, one would think making it sound as, not illegal as possible would be a priority.  Certainly doesn't make them any money when someone is screaming at them to take them off their calling list.

I receive calls from different #s selling warranty services.  This time I asked on which vehicle...he said "the newest one".  He could not give me any vehicle info.  I told him this is a business he is calling and he said he would take my # off the call list....maybe..probably not.
This is being reported to the Federal Trade Commission and I suggest others report it also...their # is 877-382-4357.

Another one of the new car warranty scams!   Hey! If you have a new car and want a "extended warranty," buy it from the dealer or initiate contact with the manufacturer of the vehicle.

These inbound calls that are initiated by the seller are just pure out scams!

Try finding out who the caller is and they will just say "Car Warranty Center" that's a clue right there that it is a scam.
