Calls every from many days now, leaves a cut off voice mail about a consumer survey, and that they will call back at another time.

Calls EVERY DAY and leaves a message about a consumer survey regarding something I "may have experienced" with AAA. I answered the call once, to ask them to stop calling me, but it's automated. I tried to call the number back to tell them to stop calling and it says the number is disconnected or no longer in service.

Everyday I receive a call on my cell from 813-830-7856.
I never answer because I don't know who it is from.
They leave a recorded message that says, "Please disregard this call, we will call back at another time."

Same complaint as the messages above - calls about every other day, a voicemail left about a survey, etc.  How do we prevent this number from calling us?  It would be nice to be able to report this number/the messages to someone who could do something about it.

I received a call from 813-830-7856 today. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. They left an automated message saying that they would call back. I am on the Do Not Call list, so if the other comments about this being a telemarketing type call from AAA are true, I am pissed. I already receive mailings (aka junk mail) from AAA and if I were interested in doing business with them, I would apply for a membership. Do Not Call means DO NOT CALL!

We called for roadside service Friday night, but ended up cancelling the tow as we got the bike restarted again before the 1.0 to 1.5 hour wait they informed us it would take to get a truck to meet us.   Now they keep calling me from this number and wanting to me eat cell phone minutes.  I'll answer if they reimburse me $0.45 a minute for the overage charges.

I keep on getting calls from this number and 813-830-7855 and when I call back, it says both numbers have been disconnected. If this is a telemarketer, then the numbers should still be in service. I personally think it is a hoax and they are there to rip off people. I wish someone would further investigate these numbers. They should not be calling on weekdays or weekends.

I have the time to research and get unethical programs brought to light that has hurt the good people who give a hard days work for their pay, this company has reproted surveys that are totally inaccurate, including knowledge their program is being used improperly and does not have the ethical nature to correct their mistakes that is putting people out of jobs, leading them to a cliff and pushing them off, I am one who can push back, as, if you know something is wrong is bad enough, to not do anything about it is worse.....

You people are idiots.  It's a survey, and if you have the time to post on here, you have the time to donate 60-seconds to rate your customer service.  Companies offer them to customers as a way of tracking how they're doing, and you folks make it seem like the government is bursting down your door and taking your guns.  I'm familiar with Sterling Research Group - they did work for my company years ago.  This evil corporation of which you speak is two dozen or so professionals (AMERICAN JOBS!!!  I SAID JOBS!!!) who manage market research studies for a variety of clients who request it of them.  I know that everything is a conspiracy, and the foil hat will protect you from the chemicals dropped secretly from airplanes and what not - but get over yourselves and don't answer your phone if you're so offended.  Or better yet, fix your own damn flat tire.

well what if they report a person took a survey that didnt? what is that? sounds like a contaminated product. If you buy a product at the store, and it causes harm because it isnt what the label said, what does your lawyer say you should do?

Mr. Paul,

I don't think the number is anonymous.  The survey companies probably work out of Florida or something.  And as far as I know, AAA is a very big company and they probably want to try to reach out to every person they can.  So, why not use a machine to complete calls?  And if you don't want to answer the call, I'm sure there isn't anything wrong with that.  I have a family.  I understand busy.  Sometimes I can't take the time to complete a survey.  So, Paul, please try to understand that these towers use surveys to  understand how they're actually doing when they get called.  As Katie said, their job probably depends in it.   AAA would only want the best employees.

actually its Sterling Research Group calling for AAA more than likely, the worst thing is these surveys are tied to towing companies incomes, its hurting good contractors and in my area they are getting anyone they can to do the tows because the quality towers are leaving the programs due to these robo calling the members, upsetting them, or calling someone who isnt with the vehicle, or a old number, and they keep calling rather than move on to the next member, which upsets members, because they are targeting members rather than run a random survey... if they werent, they would just call once, and if you answer, great, if not move on to the next... but they should ask you before they do this to begin with so you may opt out. If they call you on your cell, check the laws, they shouldnt I do not believe

yes I agree, very sleezy, unethical, improper, and if they are calling your cell phone, look up the cell phone laws, they owe you money...... we are trying to get them to stop, are you a AAA member? did you get service recently? or did they call a wrong number? Again.... isnt it agravating?

I would say they need to ask AAA for answers. i know they were going behind Pauls back looking for contractors including working out cash rates with some. Paul showed them a little of what was wrong with their program and they shut it down within 48 hours and added you cannot use this information without AAA consent.... sounds like he hit a nerve somewhere..  Sounds like Wallace was a good man, the pressures of business shouldnt weigh so heavy, if you read the AAA contract you see, they do what they want to do whenever, they have tried to prevent the contractor from having any rights........

WALLACE, William E. "Bill", 49, of Richmond, passed away suddenly November 6, 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Wallace; his mother, Laverne Wallace;...
I believe he passed away suddenly  after he lost his AAA contract, ofcourse prior to losing his contract Charlie Brady was also his territory manager,I apologize to Bill's family ,just trying to set things right, the few times i met him he was a great guy,if any of this is incorrect I would love to hear it , just one mans opinion.

who are you, I believe Paul is moving on, however people need to know how AAAMA operates. I believe Paul out serviced everyone, that is why AAAMA gave him what they did, however the current program and low rates do not support a fleet of that size, AAAMA has relied on a program to prevent bonuses, it is possible they even control it or know how to control it if you saw the numbers. That is the importance of this. When the business isnt there, you move on to other sources that can provide the business. I do not agree with their 10 day notice, I think it is wrong, however they use it at will, and still send out faulty equipment with some providers knowingly to their members.

The person you are referring to is probably a good person ,  he probably wants is resolved too but is trying to keep himself out of it, he has to work for the ones who know this program is wrong.... But to know it is wrong and not do something about it is just as bad... This program with AAAMA and other AAA clubs is not what you think, Sterling is a Research group.....they advertise on phillipine wedding sites for more business... they both know the sample size is not for the contractors that have been hurt in this program, is it one or both who control the numbers??? that is a very important question.....  but neither want to fess up, they made the mess, they made the program, correct it, be honest, and move on.....or it will probably just entangle them all into the next big mess for 2011 !! sounds like it...  is my suggestion to them.  Be a upstanding company, correct your mess, and stop the repeated phone calls to members cell phones... doesnt Sterling collect and modify the results  thats what their web site says

I know Charlie Brady and he is a good man, God fearing christian, upstanding citizen. He would never do what you claim he did; nor did anyone kill theirself over a business decision. You should stop bashing innocent people and get on with your life. If you dont like a company or like AAA then why would you tow for them in the first place? Let alone publicize their information whether true or false?

WOW, I don't even know where to start,I remember approx. 3yrs. ago when AAA,(TM) Charlie Brady pulled the contract from several tow companies that had faithfully run calls for AAA IN EXCESS OF 25YRS.,which also lead to a few companies going out of business, and indirectly leading to one contractor killing himself,I personally loved running my calls, & I loved helping people,  so Paul i guess you call this Karma, let the house of cards and all the lying come to an end, also one can only hope all the lies Charlie told over the years will finally catch up with him, remember the statement Charlie: you guys don't have anything to worry about, Fletchers can't get any bigger than they are ! , then a week later giving us 10 day notice?
