Called no msg. Missed the call

I never answer, but I've gotten a call from this number as well as 3802, 3804, 3808, 3810, 3813.  Never leave a message so I keep blocking the numbers from my iPhone.  The one time they did they claimed I had an outstanding medical bill.  To verify this I called the hospital where I recently delivered my baby and I owed $0 so this is a scam.  I know this because my old roommate in college constantly had collections agencies call her and they always leave messages.  

How do u do that when they won't give out an address?

I received a call from this number and you have to give it a couple of seconds for someone to say something then they just start saying your personal info over the phone line and wanting you to verify social, dob, address and won't say what kind of company they are..!!!! Like I am going to verify that kind of info over the phone to anyone are you kidding me!!! I am going to try and see what kind of legal action I can take against this company for this because it was not me on the  phone when they gave out that info

All these companies are shady, including the company I owe that these hoochies are trying to collect for which is why they will never get anything from me! Go ahead, put it on my credit. You think people like me care about credit? F*** off!

Calls everyday... Never a message... Really annoying

To all of you, I suggest that you send, via certified mail, a CEASE AND DESIST letter. Allow sufficient time for the letter to reach them. Afterwards, when they call, record date and time. Then seek the civil action that is allowed under the FDCPA (15USC1692).

Got a call today. No answer when I picked up. Wow, if they're trying to get money from someone wouldn't they need to speak to them first?

This number has called my phone repeatedly, every morning and when I answer, it hangs up....calling back usually gets me nothing either, but today I got an answer. IT IS A DEBT COLLECTION SERVICE.  The calls come in from an automatic dialer. I gave them a piece of my mind and paid the damn bill off. Grrrrr!!!!

It is on my fiancee's phone. I do owe medical co-pays big time, and I will finish Chapter 7 bankruptcy Oct 26 (tomorrow).

Every day I get a call on my cell phone from this company.  Evidently I am not the only one.  This is driving people crazy.  I am an old lady and cannot get to the phone and even when I do, it's either a recording or doesn't make sense to me.  Please stop this number from harrassing people.
It appears the number is 803-217-3817 and could be Amcol Systems, P. O. Box 21625, Columbia, SC 29221.

got a call from this number that asked about an address from 10 years ago and would provide no information as to why calling without a bunch of personal information that I am not providing to a nimber that does not identify who or why.
Never a word said until 15 th call and then only when I held line and cussed the caller, then got the mumbled name and no name for caller. I suspect a fishing scam and will be blocking number

I THINK IT'S A COLLECTOR FOR MEDICAL SERVICES, DR, HOSPITALS ETC.

I got a call on my cell phone from this phone number several weeks ago for an individual whose name I had never heard before.  I disregarded that call (pressed the "3" option at the end of the call for the individual not being available, because there was no option for that person not being on the phone account).  Today I got another call, which I handled the same way.  Then I googled the phone number and got to this website.  I just called the toll free number that I got from Dempsie's post [(800) 849-8500] and told the representative that the person they were apparently trying to reach was not only not on my phone account, but was also someone of whom I'd never heard.  The representative (Ms. Carter) said my number would be taken off.  I sure hope so--have no idea why my cell phone number would show up for anyone but me, as it is a personal account.

This is a call from a collection agency called Amcol Systems.  The call came through on our business cell phone showing (803) 217-3817.  We missed the call but when I returned the call, the caller was looking for a previous employee who had used the phone.  From what I gathered, they are a collection agency trying to retrieve monies owed on medical bills.  This may very well be accurate as the past employee did go to the Emergency Room for a work-related injury and did have this cell phone at that time.  Apparently there is still a co-pay owed and they are seeking collection.  When I returned the call, the male receptionist answered in such a way that I couldn't tell if he said Amco, Americol, or what...nor would he spell it for me, just connected me to another representative.  Further research confirmed "Amcol Systems".  They are out of North Carolina.  This call was received in Michigan/Detroit Metro Area.  They apparently have been hired by one of the local hospitals to collect debts.  Another odd thing, the previous employee hasn't been gone all that long (went to school), so they are sure fast in following up on debts owed if this is for the ER incident I referred to above.

calls for someone not at this number and asks her to call a number about a debt.  can not find a way to get to a human voice, all recorded unless you lie and say you are the one being called.

caller does not leave a message.  When I called the number that came up, they do not give the name of the company only that they are trying to collect a debt.  When I asked for the name of the company, the person was not clear but it sounded like Americol.  They are obviously a collection agency.

I get the same call almost daily. As soon as I answer it there is no one there. This happens if it rings only once or five rings! Driving me nuts!

Dozens of calls a day but no messages. Really annoying. I have no idea who it is.
