I’ve received 6 calls between this am and yesterday afternoon from Richard Martin, 803-230-2073, who is claiming to be a 17-year-old “cross-dresser” from Florida and is asking repetitive questions about our youth center. He does not sound 17, more like 40-50, which was my biggest red flag. My coworkers and I who took the calls were both cordial and welcomed him to visit the center and said we can set him up with the resources he may need, but he still continued to call back asking the same questions again making a total of 4 calls within an hour.

He called twice again this morning, making it a total of 6 calls with similar inquires. He asked who he was speaking with first and remembered me from yesterday. He asked about our drop in hours and said thank you and hung up. Then called back less than ten minutes later asking about counseling services. I reminded him that if he comes into the center we are happy to set him up with resources and that everyone is welcoming in our space.

This guy hasn't called me but he comes to my store all the time. He tells Me stories about cross dressers and about a flower girl that was a boy. Same stuff you guys have been posting. He seems like a pervert the way he talks about "his customers" always stuff about them wearing no panties and black panties. He also keeps telling me I'm pretty but he's too old, he could be my father. Its very weird and usually I have a big mouth but when he walks in I feel very uncomfortable and just don't know what to say.  According to the last post that's on here... he is describing himself as me. I'm freaked out by this guy. I'm Rachel, 25 though and got blue eyes.

This man called me this morning looking for a makeup artist in Florida for his gay wedding. Totally fine.  The conversation became increasingly uncomfortable and he too mentioned panties A LOT.  He was even seeking a little boy who would where a flower girl dress (that he once wore) with the "old panties his mom saved".  He mentioned that he was writing a book on his life as a cross dresser.  This time he used the name "Richard" but preferred to be called Rachel- he said he was 27 blonde hair, blue eyes.  Whoever this person is, needs some help.

We got a call from him too, at our ballet studio, wanting to put his transgender 7 year old "son" in ballet class.  Not a big deal, everyone is welcome if they want to dance.  Weird though that he kept asking questions about whether we have had this kind of thing before, what "she" would wear, if boys/girls would do the same things in class, etc.  Almost like he wanted a reaction out of me, which he did not get.  Don't get why a person would waste his time making calls like this.

I got the call tonight also. I'm in CANADA.
Exact same story line. Wedding date of October 3rd. I told him my brother was gay (at the beginning of the convo before things got inappropriate and weird) and then later on he proceeded to ask if my brother ever wore my dresses growing up. He also said the word "panties" a lot.
Weeeeiiiiird.

I'm also confused as to what he is trying to accomplish. Does he just do this for jollies? And what's the whole pastor/wedding background thing about?

So I got a call from Kevin/Ashley this last week.  Wedding date 10/3/12 in Austin.  Asked me all of the same questions listed above, I tried to call and follow up today and he answered Myrtle Beach Wedding Chapel.  What I would love to know is why is he doing this?  What is he trying to accomplish?  Was I being recorded when we talked?  Should we be reporting him to the authorities?  I mean this guy is seriously messed up if he has concocted this elaborate story and called this many people....

got the same call from this guy today, has anyone called the chapel he owns ? the sand and surf weddings website ? says he has had a wife for 30 years ? when he called us he refused to talk with my partner because he only wanted to speak with a female. freakin wierdo

Be aware wedding professionals - Kevin/Bridget is not a legitimate wedding lead.  Don't waste your time!  I'm happy to work with couples of all types, planning all sorts of different traditions for their wedding ceremony, but I operate a busy small business and I don't have time for pranks.  After fielding numerous calls from this person over the past year, you'd think he'd keep some track of the professionals he's targeted, but I guess he's just bored.

I've had 4 calls from this guy over the past year. He always has the same story, name being "Kevin/Bridget" and always asks the same question, "do you have a problem with gay couples?" "do you have a problem with crossdressers?" (or however he phrased that last one). I came to this site and found that he prank calls everyone. Its not an legitimate lead. When it comes to making a deposit, he/she will flake out on you. Its always a different wedding date too, every time he calls its a different one. The first time, they said their fiance was injured in an accident so they postponed and didn't make a deposit. He just called last night, but he is now doing it from a unknown number. And I told him off. Hopefully he won't be calling again. Does this person not realize we are doing this for a living? I've got a family to feed, I don't appreciate fake leads.

I also got a call from this same person, but I am unsure if it was this number because it was blocked.

Said his date was 10/3/2012. Same story as above.

Just got a call from "Kevin". Actually it was my 8th call from Kevin. He kept calling with an unknown number while I was asleep.

I am a wedding photographer. Kevin asked if I was comfortable with gay ceremonies & cross dressing. He asked if I knew the difference between cross dressing & drag queens. He talked extensively about how he wanted to be posed like a bride, etc. Which is GREAT & I am willing to accomodate.

He talked about his book "From Flower Girl to Bride". He explained in detail about his cute boyfriend.

What a sicko- how can this be fun?

I had a call from Bridgette/Kevin for his 3/17/12 wedding. I ageed to meet him on site to discuss flowers  i blocked out my time to meet with him. The day of the appointment he called and left a message telling me his fiance was in an awful car accident and in ICU. Already a little skeptical because of his extensive story about his past, the size dress he wares, how good he looks as a woman and many inappropriate questions about myself I decided to look up the information about the car accident. Imagine my surprise when there were no accidents involving them. A couple months went by and he accidently called me about planning his wedding... Guess he forgot he alread messed with me once. I believe in people being happy and to each their own. But people like this are sick. . Be aware!

WOW!  Yep.  I got the same lead too.  Wedding was supposed to be 3/17/12.  A forum I'm a part of has sad that multiple people have been contacted too.  What a crazy waste of time.

I run a forum of female photographers in Atlanta and it seems 15 or so of us have gotten the same call. From Kevin/Bridgette. What a sick person.

He doesn't just go by Bridgette, he called me under the name Ashley but kept the same man name Kevin. this guy is sick.

Like I said earlier, I spoke to this person literally 5 minutes before finding this site.  I called them back and confronted them. I have no problem working with a cross dresser bride for a wedding, but if this is a waste of my time I want to know it.  I spoke to Kevin/Ashley and told them that there are literally dozens of complaints on several different web sites about this being a scam. He claimed to have no idea about what they were talking about, and was going to "get to the bottom of it."  I doubt I'll ever hear from him again.  If I do, and it does turn out to be legitimate, I will be sure to update y'all.

Ok, I have just spoken to someone who identifies themselves as Kevin/Ashley at this number, with the same thing. A cross dresser who is planning a wedding in town in June and wants to know if I will take pictures.  I agreed, but now I am reading that it might be a scam? I don't want to book the time and turn down actual clients if this is not real.  Anyone have anything further?

This person also had an appointment with me after the makeover and lunch and didn't show up or call. Interesting. I pulled the phone # and cross referenced to a church in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. named the church house linking this # with Pastor Richard Martin! What the @$%$!

He's been calling me for a makeover (Mary Kay)...said he was going to be in town for the convention.  I said I would help  him....but he hasn't called today for his appt and his message box is full so I could not leave a message.  I just happened to do a search and phone these messages.  Thanks for the info...I can now go on with my day.

looked up this guy he wants to get his hair done for a cross dressing convention and wife thinks she is being stocked and she is upset about this so i am on my hunt!!!!!!!!!!! I'm fine what ever makes you happy good for you just don't hurt others he/she and waist other people time...Im locked and loaded there are some people out there you don't want to mess with.. stop harassing people...he goes by Kevin and his girl name Bridget...I know a lot about him i will figure out were you live keeping a eye on your were abouts all it takes is a little money...hope you are fine just confused but make up your mind man she...... don't screw with my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is some sort of prank. I received calls from the same person in the summer planning a wedding for October.  After calling the number on the ID back and finding the same scam here, the calls stopped for a time, but he's back now.  Kevin/Bridget has moved his wedding date to 4/1/12.  Be warned wedding professionals - don't waste your time with this guy.  It's not a legitimate lead.

This happened to me too! Ugh!

I have gotten FOUR calls. The first three times the number was "WITHHELD" but i was curious so I answered it. "Uhhh Hello. I heard you were a makeup artist and I was recommended to you by a photographer." At this point I think it might be a man but I'm not sure. I said that I was driving and didn't feel safe talking on the phone at the same time. (Not quite true but I have to be careful here.) "May I ask who is calling?"
"Bridgette...." 'She' said without any confidence.
"Can I have your phone number Bridgette so I can call you back? I should be home in ten minutes."
"Uh!!!! Um....I'll just call you back in thirty minutes."

On the 4th time I was able to look up the number and I found this site. Thanks everybody!!!

I am a wedding professional this person called claiming to be a cross-dressing bride for a 3/17/12 wedding, it was the most odd thing. I knew after a minute it was a phoney when they guy told me when he was seven he was a flower girl in a wedding, and he was writing a book called - from Flower Girl to Bride as well as his phone was blocked and had "no email). He gave me this number 803-230-2073. Not sure if it a sick weirdo messing with wedding professionals or some sort of scam

I've fielded a number of calls from this person identifying themselves as a cross-dressing bride with a wedding on 10/3/11.  If it's legitimate, I'd be happy to work with them, but I don't want to waste precious time on fake leads.  Anyone else get an actual date out of the couple and/or further contact information beyond phone number?

Got the same call - twice.  He called several months ago, then called again today.  Not sure what the fun is in this, but we've had the exact same experience.  We too are wedding professionals.

Keeps calling my store, but doesn't say anything.  The caller id comes up as MARTINRICHARD which is the same name listed as at http://www.sandandsurfweddings.com/contact_us
