That is not true at all. The DNC is a list aka database that honest business's use. Criminals and scammers have no reason to purchase the list because all they have to do is plumb numbers into their dialers and computers.  However, it is not a call blocker and can't protect you from the criminals and illegal callers.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Calling my home 3 and 4 times a day. What can you do? I was told if you are on the Do Not Call List, it is easier for them to call you, do not know for sure if this is true or not. It does seem like I have gotten more calls since being on it. Thanks.

just got another call from number,told them person they asked for is dead and asked for father.told he doesn't take phone calls.stated she would call when I am not there.

They called our house at dinner time. I live in coastal SC (843 area code), and I don't know anyone with an 803 (upstate) number. The only calls I get from 803 seem to be the Fraternal Order of Police asking for donatioms. They won't send info without a pledge, and they won't leave you alone without a pledge, so they get blocked and don't get my money, sorry.

Just called the house and hung up on the answering machine.

Called my cell, left no message.
