We have Comcast voice services.  This number, (803) 254?803?0, has been calling us far too often, so I used the Call  Forwarding option and their calls are now automatically forwarded to the Consumer Affairs Division at our local District Attorney's Office.

Yet another call from these scammers. Left no message.

These folks are scammers plain and simple.  Doesn't matter what they are selling, or what numbers they are calling from (they work their scams, ALL over the country).  They also pretend to clean ducts or fireplace flues .... but what they are really hoping to do is clean your wallet.  They have been running the scam for years now, with no end in sight.  Go ahead and report them to the authorities ... that is an exercise in futility.  They also seem to be connected with credit card scams, cruise scams, and security system scams .... because we always tend to get such a calls ALL within a couple of hours of one another .... every other day.

Just calls and hangs up without answering. How to stop these calls? Do Not Call Registry is a waste. In fact, the spammers are now more brazen and have started calling anytime and all numbers

Unknown, I look at incoming calls and no name from out of my calling area.  I am on the do not call list also

Got a call from this number.  Didn't recognize it so didn't answer, figured it was a telemarketer violating the do not call list.  Might have been repeat of the obnoxious robo-call that was design to frighten seniors into buying something unnecessary, like supplemental health insurance or burial insurance, or such.

Didn't pick up this N Carolina area code call because I don't know anyone there.  Checked online and other reports say this is a carpet cleaning company. Why are solicitors allowed to call my cell phone?  Also, my number is listed on "do-not-call" registry.  Does that even do any good anymore?

Left no message. I don't respond to phone numbers I don't recognize. Most are scams. Plus, I don't know anyone in South Carolina which, supposedly, this number originates.

Call, unanswered, hung up after 4-5 rings.  How can we prevent this?

This company has called several times.  After the recorded message, it says to press 1 to make an appointment, and then a live person comes on the line.  I have asked them to stop calling me; they just hang up with no response.

I do NOT want this call again.  Calls keep coming over and over again and it is from a Carpet Cleaning company. We are on "Do not call" list and do NOT want any calls from this number.

Just the 3rd scam call of the day (1st from this particular number).  These scammers will work all types of scams, spoofing numbers from area codes from all over the world (but the calls are actually originating from offshore).  They will try to get you to give any kind of information so they can suck your bank accounts or credit card limits dry.  THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THEY CAN GO TAKE A LONG WALK OFF A SHORT PIER - I WILL NOT ANSWER NUMBERS FROM SCAMMERS WHO DON'T EVEN HAVE THE GUTS TO ALLOW THEIR COMPANY NAME TO SHOW UP ON CALLER ID - ONLY COWARDS SHOW UP AS UNAVAILABLE ON CALLER ID.  Go fly a kite scamming company.

They called & left no message after me receiving 2 other scam calls today where they were leaving messages on voice mail of press 1 if you are this person and press 2 if you aren't this person and hold for an important message (or whatever else it says - I don't listen to the messages - after I hear press 1, I fast forward then delete the messages).  I'm not stupid enough to fall for any of these scams.  I have no bank accounts.  I have no credit cards.  I have no line of credit.  I have no mortgage.  I don't have carpets to be cleaned (even if I did need carpet cleaning, I used to work years ago in the carpet cleaning business so I know how to do it myself).  I don't need ducts cleaned as I don't own the house I live in.  I don't work - can't work - have no money - have no assets.  So there scam companies - you won't get one thin dime from me.  And, if you are a collection agency, go fly a kite scumbags.

I just received a call from this number at my home here in the suburbs of Seattle-Tacoma, at approx. 1:35 pm on 11/07/2012.  I ended a one-sided conversation with a heavily accented Asian female after I pressed "1" to speak with a representative.  First words out her mouth were "Carpet Care - would you like to make an appointment?".  I informed her that the number she reached has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for years, and this firm was flagrantly violating that.  I'm not sure at what point she disconnected, but it soon became apparent I was having a convo with myself at the end.  

This is not the first instance in which I have answered a call with the same pre-recorded, perky message from "Diane", eager to clean my carpets, etc. - but it is the first time I made an effort to engage with a "live" representative, though my efforts were as fruitful as if I had just hung up or ignored the call altogether.

Now they are capitalizing on hurricane Sandy calling and claiming the insurance will reimburse for carpet cleaning.  How sick is it to prey on people like that?

Pre-recorded message from "Diane" offering carpet cleaning.  I got sick of the calls and pressed 1 to "make  an appointment."  I told the woman my number is on the government do not call list and she hung up on me.  I have continued to receive calls from this company.  I pressed 1 again and tried to ask for information.  She told me the company is located in Ventura, CA.  I asked for an address so I could come in to make an appointment.  She said I couldn't have an address until "after the job was done."  I said, I'm confused, I can't come in to make an appointment?  She hung up.

A call from a carpet cleaning business in South Carolina, wanting to clean my carpets in Southern California, I don't think so!!!!  They never seem to get the hint.  They are all just scammers and tricksters.

Received a call from this number on a Saturday night at 7:50pm..We too are on the No Call List!! Yeah right, these people ALL of them still call and at the latest or most inconvenient times!!!

Received a call @ 11:45 am. No message left. Called them back (thinking it may be one of my clients) and it said the number is not in service. THAT WAS QUICK!
I'm on the DNCL and have been for years, and it doesn't stop these calls at all.

ROBO call from "Diane" about getting carpets cleaned.   Goes on and on about fantastic deals and then says press 1 to make appointment.  If you do press 1, you get disconnected.

Got live person and told her that I twice asked to be removed plus right now it called during Hurricane Sandy where I am in cold powerless damaged home--the jerk hung up on me!!! Very Angry Here

At 10 AM this morning, recd a call from this number. These people call endlessly, using different city names and telephone numbers. Blow them up!!!

This number called and asked if I wanted my carpets cleaned. They hung up on me when I asked them to remove my number!

I can't stand them anymore either.  Whey I try to call the numer I was given from *69, there is a message that the number is out of service or disconnected.

I filed a complaint through the Do Not Call Registry, and Verizon is filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  

Also, I will be buying a nice, shiny wistle.

Received a call from this number and answered after 2 rings.  There was a hang-up.  I called the number and the message I received said this number was no longer in service.  What good is it to be on the National Do Not Call Register when I get calls like this?

I pressed 1, then slammed the receiver on table a few times for their ears. Maybe they'll get the message that way.

Keep getting these recorded messages for carpet cleaning from 803-254-8030. I'm on the Do Not Call List, but apparently idiots can get around it or the govt chooses not to arrest these violators. Keep lodging complaints on the DoNotCall.gov website though.

Watch out for the other scammers at 503-457-1194 or 971-220-1262; POAmerica is on the caller ID; "Political Opinion America" that claims they're doing political surveys in exchange for a cruise, & want your credit card & other information! DON'T FALL for these idiots either!! Keep filing complaints!!

I filed complaints twice with the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST http://www.donotall.gov/.  I notice on Yelp that 'Carpet Care' seems to be a franchise locations everywhere.  The woman who answered after I pressed 1 said she was located all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
