Repeated calls from this number in our caller id over the last several weeks, all without leaving a message.  When I finally caught them they asked for my (now long deceased) mother.  I asked the caller rather harshly who as calling and they said "don't scream at me" and hung up.  I extend them Samuel Jackson's now famous blessing!

I have been receiving these calls for a solid week.  When I answer, they hang up.  It says wireless caller.  I called ATT.  They said to press *57 for call tracing.  After a pattern of calls, they will go after them for harrassment.  I sure hope so.  What they are doing is just plain dumb.  I am ready with my whistle if they call again.  Of course, filing a complaint and receiving some money sounds good too.

What nonsense.  "Are you or is anyone in your family a diabetic?"  Oh, sure, let me tell someone I don't know calling from who knows where my family's health history.  Certainly a scam.

Identified themselves as The National Diabetes Center and asked if anyone in the household suffered from diabetes. When I said "No and remove me from your calling list," they hung up without acknowledging. Interesting to note that I received a series of similar calls from another cell number.

I am getting those calls too.  I am not advocating any violence against these folks but I read that a lady keeps a whistle next to her phone.  When she recognizes a phone number as a repeat telemarketer she picks up the whistle, puts it to her lips and blows the whistle as loud as she can into the callers ear.  Now as I said, I am not advocating this, but on the other hand.....I'll bet they won't be calling her anymore.

Telemarketer
Received a call from 803-280-7008 telling me my wifes mother ask them to call because we had diabetes and other things. Caller acknowledged the fact that the NO CALL notice came up on his screen but since her mother said it was OK, he called anyway. No one can give permission to violate your no call request. This is a telemarketer trying to get around the no call listings.

Caller called and asked for Medicare card number so that they could send me a new blood tester and a heating pad for my bed.  She had the call recorded.  Is this a scam?

I would never give out my medicare number or any other information to someone that called me.  Sounds like a scam to me.  Medicare never asks for your number over the phone.  Tell them to put you on their do not call list and then hang up on them.

They called my elderly parents twice...the second time luckily I was around.  They DON'T have diabetes.  The caller claimed they were following up on their diabetes.  When I asked where they got the information from, they hesitated and stammered and said; "uhhhhh.....uhhhhhh....the government....ahhhh.....medicare...."

I'm not buying it.  Not one second.  I told them if they were really from the government then they have all our information and to just mail us something in writing and never call again.  Let's see how that turns out.

It's listed on caller ID as a CELL PHONE account.  It may be a scammer, or just someone with no skills working in a very unprofessional manner.  She mumbles through her spiel, and rudely hangs up on you when you simply tell her no one in your home is diabetic.  When I tried calling back, I was directed straight to a recording which says this person's voicemail box is not yet set up.  We should all just play along with her if there's a 'next time'.

Received 3 calls from 803-280-7008, the first time I couldn't understand the guy so I hung up, the second time I didn't answer, the third time a woman ask if anyone in our household had diabetes and I said No that she was a fraud and she should take my name off their mailing list, she started yelling at me, asking "How did I know", I told her "I read it on the internet", then she screamed at me "That I was a fraud", I thought how stupid that was for her to say that to me when she is the one that called me and I told her so, she was still rambling on so I hung up and never received another call and that was a month ago, they must have taken me off their callers list.

What they do is tell you they will send you a free blood glucose meter and all the assessories and then they ask for all your medicare and supplemental insurance information, then they bill medicare for a hugh amount.  This is medicare fraud don't ever give them any information. Just tell them you know they are a fraud and you'll report them to the authorities.

When they inquire if anyone in the household has diabetes, answer with a confirmation, such as 'Yes, but they died yesterday' : please do not call again.

That should get you off their calling list.

Just got the a phone call this same number. They asked for a member of my household. When he (the male caller) was told the party was unavailable, and could we take a message, the reply was "No, I'll call back later," and hung up.

Reverse Lookup pins this number as a cell phone orginating in Rock Hill, SC.

I get these kind of calls all the time, I suspect it's scammers who got personal information from medical sites, hospitals, home health care, etc.
Caller shows Wireless Caller (cell phone). Since when do actual legitimate businesses use cell phones?  Sounds like BS to me, I answer the phone as if I am a company and they just hang up but they still keep calling only to hang up when I answer.  (I got another one while typing this message!)

Wanted to know if anyone in the house has diabetes. When  I said yes, they asked if it was me. When I said yes again, they wanted me to take a survey. I said I wasn't interested and now they keep calling me. Do they just call and ask or do they know who has diabetes somehow?
