I get this text from "Calvin" at Maxwell's Air Force Bass first from 802-892-0535 asking if I still have my car that I am selling on ebay to let him know ASAP.  I responded with a one word answer, yes.  Then 20 minutes later he texts me from 320-373-8686, telling me his phone just lost signal and he doesn't know what is wrong with his phone so he is using his friends phone.
He proceeds to tell me that my price is quite reasonable & affordable considering others he's seen lately.  He continues to say that he would love to come see what he is buying and test drive the car himself but he doesn't have the time.  He states that he thinks he can trust me and he will be paying via paypal.  He needs this car urgently as he is still in the service.
He did not respond to me when I asked where would he be receiving this car.  Though he did respond when I told him that I did have a paypal account.  He wanted me to give him my paypal email address.  I asked him again how would he get the car and where is he located.  He never told me where he was located but he will have a shipping company send their representative come pick up the car on his behalf and the shipper will represent him and sign all the necessary documents.  He wanted me to get back to him with my paypal email address as well as my address or the location as to where to pick up the car.
My last text to him was "nice try scammer...now the police detectives have both your numbers to track".  I haven't heard back from them.

I also received info similar to above. All the warning signs of a scam. I am not going to move forward with this guy. Just does not feel safe or legitimate.

This guy contacted me to about a car that I was selling and gave me the same above information. then he said that he would give me an additional 1100 for the vehicle but I was to forward a 1000 of to a currier co to pick up his car with a California address. .... he even sent me a paypal confirmation page of payment received that said the funds were on hold and once the western union transaction no was submitted the full payment would be deposited into my account....
the man refused to talk to anyone  in person and only texted and emailed me the entire time.... he avoided to answer questions about the paypal account he had , also refused to give me the mane of the currier company, and always skirted the issue about where the car was to be sent to.... He used the name of CALVIN GREG.... he will also tell you that he will be unable to get a refund of the amount after he says the payment is sent and will text constantly to ask when the payment will be sent to the currier company....

Yeah, I just got a text from Calvin too, wanting to buy my car. Asked for my paypal info, then to wire 1000$ via western union to a car shipping company. After reading all these messages too, pretty sure I will no longer be replying to this guy

Same number was texting me that he was at Maxwell Air force base and couldn't make it but asked me 4 times to send my PayPal info and after doing my research, I let him (Calvin) know that the car was already purchased. Thanks guys for reporting this number. I almost got ahead of myself. First time selling a car privately.

This guy text me about a truck I was selling wants to buy. He hasn't seen but a few pics on the site. He says my price is reasonable and am ready to make a purchase now. Give him a paypal account email so he can send the funds because he is not local and at Maxwell AFB as a officer in the fighter wing. He then states he will send a representative on his behalf to sign the paperwork and pick up the truck. So me being a former active duty Marine I ask him a few questions ANY military member would know. So what's you MOS(job), and base commanders name. He didn't respond, he just stopped texting. BIG SCAM! Be careful with this big bag of crap!
