You must be the perpetrator of this scam to try to defend it. Or you ID has been stolen.

Call came in on my cell phone.  Only the phone # showed up on the caller ID.  No message left.  No idea who this is.

Got a call from this number & just missed it. Caller ID said "Fort Mills".

I didn't answer in time, but I was late on my Wells Fargo mortgage payment, so I think this is legit.

It's the collections department at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

Most, no, pretty much ALL of these calls, I have found, are scams, trying to get CC numbers and/or SS numbers for credit card or ID theft.  When you push them for info they hang up!  Never answer such calls!  As you can see from other posts, many times there is not even an account.  If you have an account with any bank, I'd still never answer incoming calls.  Caller ID is being spoofed (faked!)  This website is priceless, and many times I have sent links to FBI and FCC to track the criminals who do this.  Slowly they are catching them, one by one..  So scumbag scammers, that noise outside your window, at 3:00am, just might be a swat team (or a drone!)  Sleep well.

My husband got a call from this number and he doesn't handle any of our bills so he gave them my cell number and they called me.  Fortunately, he had called me first and warned me so I goggled them first.  Thank you for this heads up.

I got a call from this number...I don't even bank with Wells Fargo and I don't have a mortgage either. Very suspicious, if you ask me.

On my cell phone, no message left.  Unknown name, just number on caller ID.  I have no mortgage or any other business with Wells Fargo, nor would I. I also have no unpaid or late debts, nor would I.

This number is Wells Fargo. They are looking for late mortgage payments.

This number called using the ID of Wells Fargo. They are NOT.
