Debt Collector

We got a call at Envirosafe Termite & Pest Control in Charlotte NC. They found us on our website at www.pestcontrolcharlotte.net.  we are a full service exterminator in Mecklenburg county.

Called.  I didn't answer.  Found number on my answer machine.  Called back, but line busy.

Apparently the number removal system is ineffective as they just called me again.

Today I received TWO calls from these idiots.

Is debt collector from directv. I already cancel my contract with them and pay the f.....  charge for desconection. No answer them the are trashhh.

There's a variation on this concept.  I used to be in customer support for a mortgage customer, but quit after the banking client we used switched to outbound mortgage sales.  (I hate those guys).  Anyway, I know that the telemarketer is relying on a computer to dial those robo-recipients, so if you say "Hi" right away (you're expecting an immediate response), and a telemarketer, because of the headset and equipment, will have a 2-3 beat delay & can't respond to you immediately and so you can hang up.   And because you've hung up, the telemarketing computer is now automatically on to the next call - immediately dialing the next number in the database so the human telemarketer is unable to redial your number.  Because the telemarketer's computer is busy redialing the next number in the database, you've temporarily defeated the call so you're safe for the time being (usually 24-72 hours) so now, you simply mark that 800 number and you won't have to answer it the next time that company calls (or you can simply push the speaker button and then hit your off button; disconnecting the call.)  
Sneaky, huh?

If you a registered voter and affiliated with a political party, the do not call list does not apply. I worked with a campaign last year and that was one thing I found after being told by people on the phone that they were on the do not call list.

Does not apply to political calls by your polital party. When they do call you can tell them not to call you again and remove yourself from THEIR list.

I called the number back. It is DirectV and they let you know what promotions you are eligible for. Today they took 10 off my bill for 12 months.

It is not the DNC. And if you are a Directv customer you are not included on the do not call list. If you do not want any promo calls, you can call 1800-directv and they will take you off the list. But I got $100 out of it.

I called them back and got a recording asking me to enter the # I wanted removed from their calling list.  Since they already had the number, I figured what the hell and did it.  We'll see if they stop calling.

Call repeats every morning at 7:30am. I am on the DNC list. I try to call back to talk to someone to have them stopped, since they call at a time when I am still in bed. I'd likr to return the favor and wake them up every time they are sleeping!

These basturds call me every and I told them yesterday I do not support Obacommie or freeloading, parasitic commies in general and she seemed to be annoyed,lol.

I turned these jerks in to Do Not Call but doubt if anything will be done about it.

I just got a call from this number over the week-end but did not answer as I did not recognize the number.After reading these posts I am glad I did not answer and definitely will not answer.

Received two calls from this company.  Did not answer them.  I have requested no calls.

Calls every day. Getting pretty annoying.

everyday, sometimes multiple times a day,i answer,then trhe voice says if this is yoiur name press 1,I do, then nothing happens.very annoying

Numerous mechanized calls from this number. Ended up blocking it completely.

this number is from south carolina, i can tell you that much.  i never answer it and nobody leaves a message.

This is a request for a monetary  donation of $100 for the Democratic Party. If you politley refuse, they ask for $50, then persist to ask for a smaller amount.

whoever this num belongs to is very annoying and stupid not to leave msg.needs to act like a adult and use phone service for what it was made for.

good to know its the democratic party AGAIN. They already called a month ago.

These people are driving me crazy.  They call all hours of the day & although I never pick up, they keep calling.

We received a call from this number on 10-7-2010 and again on 10-8-2010 and there is no response when we pick up

i've gotten a bunch of calls from this number the past couple weeks.  they call at very inconvenient times (after 9, sundays, etc.), do not leave messages, and when i call them back to tell them to quit calling, all i get is a recording that won't let me leave a message!  they say their "normal business hours" are 8 am - 5 pm and yet they call 9 at night.  what jerks/idiots/morons!  (thanks, labman, for providing website to this company.)

When I answered the caller asked to speak to Carolyn.  There is no one here by that name, I answered.  She said she would make a note of it.

Call from 803-675-7964.  They call every day, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day

I believe this is related to a political phone solicitation.....perhaps the Democratic party.
