That is correct.  They are suppose to per FDCPA
11) The failure to disclose in the initial written communication with the consumer and, in addition, if the initial communication with the consumer is oral, in that initial oral communication, that the debt collector is attempting to collect a debt and that any information obtained will be used for that purpose, and the failure to disclose in subsequent communications that the communication is from a debt collector, except that this paragraph shall not apply to a formal pleading made in connection with a legal action.
(13) The false representation or implication that documents are legal process.
I have just filed a complaint with BBB but more importantly Federal Trade Commission.  If you have any problems with this company you should immediately do the same.....

I've received the same message but from a woman.  She called me for a couple weeks in December then stopped.  Resumed calls this month.  What has me laughing right now is the claim on their website,

"Does your company value customer service and ethical practices? Are you looking for a collection agency with the same values? ----- Blueshore Recovery Systems was established with Customer Service and Ethical practices as its core business model. We not only want to service you as our client but we want to ensure we uphold your reputation and ensure your customers are treated accordingly while the collection process is underway."

For a list of what can and cannot be done, check out the FTC's webpage on debt collection: http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

Doesn't a debt collector, in the messages they leave, have to state that they are attempting to collect a debt?  That is not what I am hearing with each call from these people.  I have yet to receive a call from Robert.  But I keep hearing from some lady that says she needs me to call to hear my side of the story and that if she doesn't hear from me very soon, "good luck".

Have been recieving calls from Blue Shores Recovery Systems (BSR) and being very rudely/abruptly addressed by Mr. Robert Saunders. I did owe a debt to Wells Fargo at one point. (was being charged and double charged for overdrafts i didnt have) however no where near the amount they allege. He is saying there is a civil complaint against me for attempt to defraud a federal institution and he is representing the matter. Additionally trying to force me to decide NOW what to do, in a 2 min call.
It sounds scary.  Can BSR prosecute me? Wouldnt I recieve court documents????

Im a single mom (I lost my parents and only son and got a divorce which preceded the bank overdraft situation.) and Ive never been in nor do I want to be in trouble.

Advice????

Thank you.

I know that I do not have any outstanding debts. I own two businesses and I have an attorney for each as well as a personal lawyer. They have filed the appropriate complaints and paperwork against Blueshore Recovery Systems as well as the representative that was involved in the calls. My attorneys are also looking into the reason why that have a BBB rating of "A" when they are obviously a fraudulent company with many violations according to the FCC and DOC.

This same person as everyone has described has been calling me since the beginning of the year. Finally i called back and talked to sanders or whoever. I interupted his beginning speech and told him all my debts have been discharged bc of bankrutpcy. Then his attitude kicked in. He refused to tell me what debt this was for. So an hour later he had the nerve to call back. But luckily i didnt have my phone on me. Already contacted a lawyer about it.

2nd time I've heard from someone identifying himself as "Robert Sanders."
His MO is exactly the same as you folks have already stated above, i.e., nice-guy, threats, use of multiple 803 area code numbers (which suggests to me either a bogus, or more likely one of the subsidiaries of one of the countries largest 'debt collectors.'
Facts:
Although you may wish to contact the BBB the BBB is a non profit and while they are excellent at dealing with honest companies and/or mistakes in either ID or amount owed, they have no enforcement available to them of any kind, therefor:
1. The FTC, federal trade commission, has numerous complaints against this company and, yes, this company is in violation of FCC rules, also, the fair credit reporting act and several related federal and state laws and your state consumer protection may be better as someone to complain to (my experience with the feds in the past 5 years has been that they receive no 'oversight' whatsoever--the heads of these agencies are appointed by obama and really couldn't care less about those of us who are being harassed by these folks who have been unleashed by said administration.
2. The FTC did take these people to federal court and did get a judgement of over 2 million dollars against them, as a result the FTC has 'turned over' their complaints to the department of justice[sic]--I have had no information of the DOJ doing anything, but at least they have several thousand agents who could prosecute if they receive enough pressure from victims of these people.
3. One additional note, you can make a complaint to the DOJ, i.e., that this company is violating the fair credit reporting act (after you notify this robert sanders that he is not to call you again, the FCRA says he cannot call you any further, or your relative or your friends--if he communicates with you in any way after told to stop then that can also be reported to the DOJ).
4. Do not be intimidated by these people.  They are the ones breaking the law and I would not hesitate to report their illegal collection activities to your own state law enforcement and/or the DOJ.
5. If you are sure that you in fact owe no debts, you can go straight to making a complaint because they are actually breaking the law to enforce a collection and that's illegal--even if you do owe some kind of debt, you can still file a complaint for the same reason.  So, if this Sanders guy contacts you again all you need to tell him is the complaint number you are given by the DOJ, the FTC, or your state DOJ--I'd also record the date time of his call and any other information you can to add to your complaint.

If they are harassing and bullying you, file complaints with the BBB (they're listed as an "accredited company") and with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.  More complaints = shuttering the business.

This is Blueshore Recovery, a debt collector.  They will likely only identify themselves as "BSR" which can be misheard in several ways.  Here's what you want to know:

Robert sanders is in violation of the FCC standards he is mentioning federal and state agenesis he has no affiliation with any government agency. It is federal offence and violation of penal codes to use these entities. He also calls everyone in your family even people that you have not spoken to in years, this is called harassment. If this person threatens you file a complaint against him and the agency he work for.
