Got a voice mail message from John beause my voice mail starts with Hello this is "Mark" He left a very pleasent and eager message like he new me "Hi Mark" and a call back # 804 272 2443. I thought it was work related so I called him back, Got a receptionest whom transfered me to John we talked about everything under the sun for 5 minutes meanwhile I hear a mill in the back ground (Voices over Voices) like you here when tele marketers call. I finaly asked him are you calling about our product? as he was slowly expressing the purpose of his phone call. While I can't prove this company has malice you don't cold call people at work about investing money and after I whished him a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and hung up the phone I remember thinking did i give him even the slightest bit of personal information which I did not. In conclusion this may be a legit Company but P.T Barnhum."sucker born evey minute."

Adam Holland from Sage Point called my work number "looking forward to speaking with me" with a call back number 804-272-2443. Glad I found this site.

It seems like every few years someone from Sage Point calls my work number. I just got another voicemail today. They always sound so friendly on the phone and act as if I know them. I've stopped responding to their calls. Once when I talked to a representative, I told him I was interested, and he did everything in his power to keep me on the phone, to the point of annoyance. I finally had to be extremely blunt and kind of rude with him to end the call, which I hated doing. There has got to be a better way to drum up business.

I got same call from someone named "Josia Brant" 804-272-2443, to call him. No details given.I checked web site and saw it's financial services firm. I won't be calling back -- following the golden rule of personal finance, which is "Don't call me ... I'll call you."

Just had a message from John at Sage Point. Thank you, all who commented, for the information prior to my wasting time calling him back. I am at work in Lynchburg, VA.

Was on vacation last week...9 trillion phone calls and email to return when I get back (ok, slight exaggeration, but you know what I'm saying). One from Dalton Kissell at Sagepoint "give me a call when you get back" (out of office msg told him I was out until Monday). Call back number of 804-272-2443. I'm IN fund-raising/development at a Universtiy so not typically getting business calls from people I don't already know or who don't identify themselves as alumni/constituents of my employer. I look up Sagepoint (in my business, you do your homework) and viola...this site comes up. I won't be calling him back...I can sympathize with "Dalton's" plight, however it is inappropriate (and aggravating) to cold call people at work.

Got a call from "Dalton Kissel" at Sage Point. Very vague -- wanted to "speak with me" and did not even mention what Sage Point was about. I did not return call. Please help stop these jerks.

Same call from Joe DeGeranomo. How do they come up with these names.
JoeB 2012-03-06 14:54:30 Telemarketer
Got a call from a Joe DeGeranomo at SagePoint requesting that I call him back. I'm glad I found this website so that I don't waste my time calling him only to find out he is a telemarketer.

WOW! I got a voice mail from Scott today. I can't blame the guy for wanting to make money. I glad I had the opportunity to do some research before calling back. Me for one will not be needing he services. So he won't be getting a call back.

We received a call from this number from person identifying himself as Scott Sexton and asking for my boss. When my boss (VERY POLITELY) told him that we were not interested and would prefer not to receive such solicitations, he berated my boss and then hung up the phone on him as my boss attempted to respond.
Prick.
Name 2011-11-10 20:26:41 Unknown
B***s***. You are probably Scott Sexton.
Nad 2011-10-11 20:01:43 Unknown
Yep, my home phone is also on the do not call list. Josh Wanger called my work, who in turn gave him my cell thinking he was a potential customer. Unreal....
telemarketers-r-scum 2011-06-28 20:28:30 Unknown
You must be one of the crooks working this scam. If any of your intended victims are unfortunate enough to answer your call, the best thing to do is send you to a voicemail black hole. No need to bother saying no, and certainly no need to "thank" the scammer for trying to steal your company's time and money.
If all of their intended victims did this they would wither away in no time.
No honest financial services company will cold call you these days. Only scammers do that.

U guys are amazing, u dont want to waste ur companies time? are u kidding me...wow, get over yourselves and be mature and say no thanks. I dont even work there but u busy workers really cant spend two seconds saying no thanks then to b*tch online...wow, ur companies are so proud to have such good workers?!?!
Try to say no thanks, then turn off facebook and google searching ur ex girlfriends or significant others and really try and do some work....your lucky anyone is calling to try and help you to begin with....and another then u cubicle sheep, just because you order a diet drink doesnt make it ok to up size everything else.
PS have fun with inflation and taxes in the next few yrs, im sure your precious companies will really try and help you "plan" a better way to save then to dump it all in a pretax account especially when they start taking away your company match. While ur at it, buy some gold bars and hold on to those during this double dip and see well Kroger or Martins does with breaking that bar and giving u change back.
GET OFF UR PEDESTAL PEOPLE!

Company's ph # on caller ID was 804-272-2092.
The caller, Scott Sexton, gave the call back ph # as 800-250-8256.
This clown called me twice last year. So I reported him both times, then again this year to the Do Not Call registry.

Got a vague call last night on my work voice mail from Scott Sexton at Sagepoint who assumed I was away from my desk - douche...thought at first it might be a vendor, then googled and found this. Thanks. Caller ID 804-423-1816, left call back number 800-250-8256.

While I would agree that it is not a "scam." It is intrusive and unethical to make unsolicited calls to people at their place of employment. This is essentially business to business theft since I spent about 20 minutes of my company's time listening to the voice mail and then researching who the heck SagePoint is. Like many on here I assumed it was a legit vendor that is part of our supply chain. I was honestly expecting Sagepoint to be a software vendor. I don't think I want to do business with anyone who has no regard for my employer's time and expense!
I for one and glad this site is here!

SagePoint is not a scam. The callers are Financial Advisors seeking clients to assist with retirement funds. Maybe if YOU CLOWNS researched a little you would know this. Probably why most of you dont know how to invest and you are on a road to clear disaster when it comes to managing your money. As a client, I personally know the benefits of working with this company.

Call from 804 w/ callback number 804.272.2443 to my 757 number. Same time zone. 8:04 PM from Josh Wangner (sp?) Sagepoint. Started w/ "you must be away from your desk". No kidding. Cold calling voice mail at work to get around the do not call lists. Clever, though I wonder how many people actually call back.
X 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
I also got a call from this company. I believe it was because I just bought a car and since my home phone is on the DO NOT CALL list, they called me at work.
JTB 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
I had this same call about 4 yrs ago and thought the same thing. I then did some research and actually met Scott and he is now handling my 401K and doing a great job. He is legit

"Aaron Gibbs from Sage Point in Richmond" hit me up with an unsolicited call today at work and left me a voicemail. Won't be calling him back at 272-2443
Steve 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Alex Robinson called me at work today. Never heard of Sage Point until I searched the web. No idea how he got my work number. I hardly ever publish it!
Jerry 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Alex Robinson called and said he was with Sagepoint. Asked that I return his call at 272-2443. Like Bert, I do not know this person, so I googled Sagepoint and found this page. Thank you for being here.
Bert 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Alex Robinson called...left vague message for me to call him back...I don't know him, no business with him. Google led me here. Thanks for the very informative site!
James 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Clint Rhodes from Sagepoint called my work number, message said he was from Richmond (which is close to me and I have alot of vendors from there). I called back and got a recorded message. I googled and found this site.

Received unsolicited phone call at my work phone number; left vague message saying it was important that I called back. Caller was Scott Sexton, with a call back number of 800-250-8256.
Strange! Please report this number to a scam and police.
