i just received a call from 785-238-2358 for the extended warranty scheme and I told him this was the third time I'd asked to stop being called- he said he'd let me talk to his boss but hung up on me. I called the FTC and reported them and then got this call from 804-403-6205 which when I tried to call back told me I was now on their do not call list!
This is a massive scam and we are paying for minutes and in my case roaming charges and these scammers and laughing at us!
The government has to shut these people down!

Yeh these guys are I wish I knew what they were up to.

Just  rang, when I picked up, no one anser, it seemed they were waiting for you to call back, I did not.

this number called and spoke with my mother. they took advantage of her weak english skills and gave her the impression that they were calling from the insurance company and that we couldnt drive our car unless we insured with them. the world of cheap commision sales. hate these types of people.

Wonder how many of us have or have had the OnStar service in their vehicles?  I'm starting to wonder if perhaps OnStar is selling customer information.  New vehicles today often come with Onstar as part of the package and they know lots of information about your vehicle including date of purchase and, therefore, may be aware of when warranties will be expiring ... The only person who should know I have a car warranty is the dealership I got it from ... in the past month I've had calls from several different States (I live in Canada) and looking up each number seems to come up with the same thing ... car warranty renewals.  Haven't answered a one of them yet and don't intend to start.

I chose option 1 and spoke to an operator. I told her I drive a 20-year-old car and don't call me ever again. She confirmed that they'd put me on the DNC List. Here's the last part of the conversation:

Me: Are you calling from Virginia?
Operator: No
Me: Where are you calling from?
Operator: Click. [hangs up]

No one there..... There should be a do not call list that has teeth.

Yet another random call which it appears is all about a car warranty. Does anyone have any idea where they are getting their list of cell phones to call? This is crazy!

I did what ashley mentioned- calling the number back and got the same message- give us 24 hours to process this and by calling the number it takes you off their list. Thanks!

This number calls me sometimes 2 times a day and leaves a msg about the car warranty..and every time says last time to call before account is closed. I answered it today, and it was the same recording that was left on my message...and gave me the option for 1. talk to cust serv rep or 2. be taken off this list and put on Do Not Call.

Pressed 2..and automatically hung up on me.
