PEOPLE - THIS HAS TO BE A SCAM SO BEWARE!! - This 1-804-417-1864 # called and said about extending the warranty on my vehicle. I don't have a vehicle.
Welland 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Pre-recorded female voice message that claims "that this is your second and final warning that the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire". Claims that if you enter 1, you'll reach a service representative, tried it and was disconnected with 15 seconds or so. I don't own a vehicle, smells like a scam to me.

804-417-1864 has called me at least 4 times in the past month. I feared I missed a check-up with my new car and may have voided my vehicle warranty. So against my better judgment, I answered the a/m number and *sigh* pressed #1. It was completely silent. I waited approx 5 seconds and when no one answered, I hung up and *69 to record this number. I immediately googled the # and found this page. I am now on hold with Phone Busters who informed me that these calls have been a real nuisance and ask that people call and report these calls in order to build a solid case. http://www.phonebusters.com/english/contactus.html

Called at exactly 11:00 a.m. on Rememembrance day, November 11th. Did not answered as we were respecting the silence. Saw after the number at the called id.

My daughter answered the phone and thankfully, I've taught my children (and my husband) not to press anything just in case it's one of those scammers that highjacks your phoneline. I took the phone from her and hung up.

subject of what appears to be fraud investigation.

Answered the call, pressed one because their message said that someone's warranty had expired. When I got a person they would not answer my questions about whose car at this residence had their warranty removed or about who they were looking for. They informed me that they couldn't tell me anything due to privacy laws. They could take my information that they wanted and would then pass me onto the payment department. When I refused to give them information until they answered my questions. I was informed I would be placed on the do not call list. When I said I wanted my questions answered, they hung up. Now very angry, I call the number back, I get a message that says "if you want your number removed, press one", I stayed on the line so that I could get someone, instead the line disconnected, when I called back and pressed '0' again I was hung up on. Not very happy with these people.

Just got a call from them and they didn't identify themselves just said if you don't want any more calls push 1 to unscubscribe. I usually don't answer numbers like that but my husband answered it and pushed 1, I wanted to verify that's it's not one of those phone calls that you get charged a great deal of money for.

As noted by other callers, I am on the do not disturb list but I continue to get calls from this number indicating that factory warranties on my car have expired and I can buy insurance.

i got a call from this number and got recorded message about vehicle warranty and when I pressed 1 to talk to someone she came on and I couldnt hear her and when I asked her to repeat it she hung up on me. I called the number back and when it answered the recorded message said that I will be added to the do not call list but would take 48 hrs to take effect

Left message on machine.Pre-recorded female voice message that claims "that this is your second and final warning that the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire". Claims that if you enter 1, you'll reach a service representative. I hung up. I have a car 2 yrs old and still cover for 3 yrs. I do not know how they can call because I am also on the DNC list.

Same as above. On DNC list in Canada. All the unsolicited calls I seem to be receiving originate from American Area Codes. What an easy way for them to get around this. I've submitted them for complaints to the CRTC, but I don't think anything will be done about it.

These jerks called me too (in Canada). Now that both USA and Canada have do not call legislation, we need a treaty to cross-link.
Bonbon 2008-11-04 17:15:56 Unknown
This number calls all the time, and doesn't leave a message. I live in Canada, and I see it comes from the US. I have no idea who they are.
RJ 2008-11-03 18:02:07 Telemarketer
I am in do-not-call list.
It is a auto-dialer. Calls every week to sell me car insurance. They say that you can remove your phone number from their list but it is a lie. You can stay on the phone to speak to a costumer service but that is a lie too. Please somebody do something about these people.
