Instead of getting violent feelings and plotting revenge, best advice is to never answer the call.  They will forget you (and you them).

Called back and consolidation recording.  I did this once before by calling back and back.  Night time is best because you get their voice mail. I tell the recorder thank you for calling.  I can now start calling them back and start harassing them.  Leave long endless and meaning less information.  Things like I whish you had been here today to help me wash my car.  I was going to clean my toilets but decided not to.  That way when I flush you down the toilet it will not be so clean.

Debt Collector
This is complicated. In my case I connected the robo call from 805-309-9711 is probably linked to another "robo call" received about 4 weeks ago that was a follow up on a mailing from a large debt collection firm (EOS CCA) based in Norwell, MA. EOS CCA had asserted that I owed a sum of money under $100 on an inactive retail account that I had closed. Their asserted claim was an error. I have a common last name and this matter was probably caused by a data entry error. This type of debt collector "buys" purported ?debt information? from large companies for a few cents on the dollar. Often about 4% or less of the actual claimed amount. No documentation is transferred to such "debt collectors" just bulk encrypted data on many accounts with sketchy contact information on the customers that a retailer, credit card firm, etc. may have in it's records on ?dead? and unpaid accounts. Such accounts have been "written off" for tax purposes and closed off their books. Firms like EOS CCA use a system of robo-calls hooked up to real, live collectors working on commission who try to get people they contact from sketchy information on their computer screens to ?agree? that they are the ?debtor? on the matter. Once someone agrees that this matter was actually their unpaid debt --- then the debt collection firm can often legally assert its claim to that stated amount. I disputed this amount in a letter sent by certified mail and this firm backed off with an almost polite written reply. But in researching EOS CCA I became aware that they have a rather obscure ?market research? service. What I surmise is that EOS CCA uses these ruse robo-calls from the purported call center at 805-309-9711 to build up its database records on consumers. And they probably then can sell this type of database information to others. In doing this manipulation they are probably in conflict with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You are well advised not to respond to or share any information to such shadowy robo-call outfits.

If you press 0 during the deby relief recording you will start the recording over.  If you press 1, you will get to speak to Bruce, who will promptly hang up on you.  It's a scam and they call every week now.  I have filed complaints w/ IC3.gov already.  Best advice, don't answer.

These scammers keep calling me. I have entered the not to call on numerous occasions. I have informed their so called representatives on numerolus occasions that I don't even own a credit card; cut my credit cards up years ago when I finally crawled out ot debt. I have discovered one way to get into these peoples hip pocket (at least some), and can actually be fun. If you have some time to kill when they call, Keep them on the line. Do not give them any personal information. Ask leading questions like: 1) Now how exactly does this work? 2) How many people has your company helped? 3)  How long has your company been in business? Granted, these sessions usually don't last too long (although I have, on occasion kept them on the line for up to 45 mins. or so) because I suspicion they are trained to get off of the phone after a certain time limit if they are not making headway with the caller. It is only a small consolation for me to tie them up for a short period that they are not able to call someonelse but I will take what I can get.

Same call...I pressed one after pressing 9 and told the person who answered, some debt relief company, that I am making note of company name and number and he had better take my number off his list and if I hear from them again I will file legal action. He then asked my name and zip, I told him no!!

Received call from this number, as soon as I verbally responded a pre-record message came on.  Giving me the recording message is from a person name "Doug Martin".   After that the rest of the recorded message was about they have send me information through mail and would like me to talk to one of their representatives by pressing a number on my keypad, or press "9" to be removed from their calling list.

I had press "9" then the same exact pre-record message repeats again.

I then hang-up and attempt to call back to this number. The call is pick-up by another automated message about how they like to thank me for calling them back and try to understand the current financial debt survey.   Following by the instruction of press "9" to be removed from their calling list.
