I have narrowed this number down to thousand oaks (as has a lot of others) california, and they are just off from North westlake blvd and around the corner basicallyy from the Anthem blue cross center. Anyone from California?
Here was the google map location: https://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

This probably a con call. It just ring for 1 second and let you miss it. When you call back, I guess it will be connected and try to keep you on the line for some time so that someone can charge additinoal money for the call. The number they call could from a random picked list and your number happen to be there. The worst case might be that the phone automatically transfer to a international call and cost you a lot of money. Not limited to this 805-309-9717.
Never call back such strange number. If someone really want you, they will call again.

Mr Number does the trick on my Driod. Got a call from them, it comes up suspected spam, it picks up and hangs up on them within 1 sec.
There is a general filter that all suspected spam gets picked up on and hung up on. Love it! i laugh everytime it gets somebody! :)

Voicemail said: "Hey guys, Ashley Martin here. We talked on the phone last week about lowering your interest rates or possibly lowering your payments on your credit cards." How stupid do you have to be to fall for this schtick?

address searches. Every address has a phone attached to it whether it be landline or cell. if you get have a phone then someones billing you for it. and they have to have an address to bill you. so your name is searched then your name matches an address that address matches a phone line thats being billed to that address

I just hate getting these auto-dialed calls! Isn't there anyone out there that can put a stop to this? does anyone know of any number to call because I am already on the "no call" list and now they are calling my cell number, too! Thanks much for any info you have.

Also got a call from this number, but when I answered, nobody replied so I hung up. About a minute later I get a voicemail notification (oddly enough), but when I checked it there was no message. Bunch of spammers.

Got a call from the number -- from the Northern Los Angeles Area. No voice mail left.
| Minnesotan 2012-05-01 16:43:21 Telemarketer |
Recorded message with instruction to press 1 to speak with someone. I did so, to see what the result woud be. Within a few seconds, I was disconnected. I called back and was again put through a set of instructions. I attempted to get to a live operator, but one of the questions I had to answer was to 'opt in'. I did not want to do that.
The call was in response to a 'mailing about my credit card' and to lower interest rates or repayment based on a 'federally regulated program'.
No company identification.
How do they get my number that I never give out?
| Marty 2012-05-01 15:06:44 Unknown |
Recording for a company claiming to be able to lower interest rates on credit cards. Message left on voicemail by the auto dialer.
