yep,just called me a few hours ago. I've stopped picking up or returning calls when it comes to unrecognized numbers that don't leave messages. It'll probably get me into some kind of bind. I agree with whoever said the ''do not call list'' is just to placate us

Fellow Americans - the correct web site to report scam calls to the Federal Trade Commission (ftc) is https://www.donotcall.gov under the File a Complaint option.
This is part of the National Do Not Call Registry where you can register any new home or mobile phone numbers you wish to exclude from receiving telemarketing calls. If your number is on the list (after an initial 31 day administrative delay) and you receive unwanted telemarketing calls or phone scams then please use the File a Complaint option for followup by the FTC.
Note that contrary to rumor, phone numbers on the list do not expire and so do not require re-registration.

Same thing on my end, i get the call pretty frequently. Its just a sales pitch to get old and dumb people who are oblivious to sales tactics. You can report them, but what is it really going to do anyway. How ashamed can you be of someone trying to make a buck, now adays its the only way to survive. What people don't realize, is that if you aren't a moron, noone can force you to switch your interest rates. Is it worth the trouble...you don't need to cuss the people out, just hang up.

They called my cell phone and said I was eligible for lower credit card interest rates. Said they were Card Member Services and when I asked why they were calling me up on my cell phone they claimed they didn't call me, that one of the credit agencies like Equifax had forwarded my call to them!

805-571-5896 called me last week saying they worked with various banks on lowering your card rates. when i said, cant i just do that with my bank. she said, go ahead, and hung up. clearly a scam.

Ooops, missed this area code. I have a list of almost every area code in the US on my computer and block all the area codes except for those where I have relatives (only 2). Any number in the calling area code is automatically rerouted to my 'no longer in service message' and then disconnected. Normally our landline only rings maybe once a week now. Computers can be very useful for people other than the telemarketers.
