CALLER ID SHOWED MIDWEEK.  CALLER DID NOT SAY ANYTHING AND HUNG UP.  HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST.  YOU NOT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING, DONT CALL!!

Calls and doesn't say anything. I called it back and a person says it is the Star-Bulletin (local paper). Don't know why the hell they call me all the time.

I've been getting this caller for a few months now, calls from 8am til 8:30pm, my id says Midweek (543-3786) when I answer they hang up... I just called the # & got Star Bulletin who said it's an automated call & when someone answers the phone it's suppose to relay to a human at the newspaper so they can get you to subscribe to their paper..........

Same here.  The guy just asked to speak to my boss, then he hung up after I said he wasn't available.  I *69 the call to find out the phone number.  I ended up calling the number back and confirmed it was the telemarketing department for the Star Bulletin. A very nice women explained to me that they were running a promotion and asked if I wanted to be removed from their marketing list.  I told her that their agents should say who they are and why they are calling.  It is very rude for a business to call and not leave a message or be upfront about why they are calling.  These telemarketers are not too smart.  When they call a business, chances are you are going to reach an office staff member.  They should remember that these staff members are at times the very people theses telemarketers need to speak to because they filter the calls to their boss and sometimes (as in my case) make the marketing decisions.

been getting the same thing these past 2 days. we are signed up at the "do not call list" too!!! they called three times today. the last at 8:30pm tonight.

You got a phone for a reason. I signed up why not $50 for 1yr of the paper? would have to be crazy not to take that offer!

we have private phones lines/numbers for our convenience and personal use...
Not for unethical businesses and scammers to use...  We have lives - Stay out of it unless asked/invited.
