Called twice so far today no messege left

called twice in 5 minutes time but left no messages

I get like 10 calls a day from this number.  Very aggravating and they wont ever leave a message.  Says its a Flint #.

They are a independent branch of the government and thereby totally except from all regulation including the do not call program.  It will do no good to report it, they are above the lae.

Keep getting calls  from 810-471-3041 this happens all day long until 9:00 p.m. they will not say anything just keep hanging up.

The man - if I can call him that, was extremely BELITTLING. He asked to "speak to the owner". When I asked him what this was in regards to he repeated himself very angrily. I said "I'm sorry I cannot let you speak to the owner unless you tell me what this is in regards to". He said something that I couldn't understand and when I asked him to please repeat himself he yelled "CIVIC, C-I-V-I-C". I had had enough and had a couple choice words for him and hung up. When I researched the number so that I could call and complain I found this website.

You can call the 800 number that others have listed and opt out of phone calls (which I did), however I also suggest that you call back, press 0 and speak to a CSR.

If this is the way the VFW goes about asking for money THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT!!!!!

This number called me Friday evening was having a party so figured it was guest answered it and it was a prerecorded survey about veterans assistant

I got yet ANOTHER phone call from these pesky people today (4/25/2010). When I told them that I am flat broke, the caller said "Well, couldn't you spare $25 for. . ." I then hung up. The amazing thing is that this phone number they called me at is registered in my friend's name, yet they knew my entire name and asked specifically for me because they knew that my friend was hearing impaired. Whew!! Something needs to be done to stop these people from calling. For starters, I think if you press *60 (star60) on your phone and follow the instructions thereafter, they cannot get through again. Still, they need to be reported as perpetual unwanted telemarketers, to say the least. Personally, as many times as they have phoned to this residence here, I suspect they are doing it illegally and there's got to be a way of stopping them.  Then later today, while I was out, these folks called again--AFTER I put this phone number on the national DONOTCALL.gov registry only three hours earlier. I couldn't believe it!!! Maybe I have to wait 24+ hours for my request to take effect; but still, it's astounding that these obnoxious people feel justified in calling a household at least TWICE in one day. That's totally inexcusable!!! I have reported them to the Michigan Attorney General, but I think they should also be reported to the Federal Trade Commission as well. The more voices that do this, the more compelled such investigative agencies will be to look into the true identity of these callers, and to hopefully charge them accordingly--not just with harrassment, but also with defrauding the naive public.

Still keeping track of all of the bogus numbers, dates, etc. You're right. It's NOT over....

i called it back and said it was  veterans of foriegn wars and tht had special offers  for some type of  programs......so i take it , its a scam

I answered the call and they are soliciting money donations for veterans.

That phone number belongs to the Veterans Adminsitration - they're soliciting for money for the Vets

when you have Verizon you can put the numbers on the no call list from Verizon

keeps calling 3 or 4 times a day. when i answer , total silence and then it disconnects

just got a call from this number. said i have no idea what he was talking about because he sounded like a hillbilly on crack. he said it's about asking for a pledge. i said i couldn't at this time and he hung up on me.

yup that's what he said....i JUST got this damn number..already they're callin and im on the DO NOT CALL list...geesh oh peete.....told them NOT TO CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN !!!!

I've been getting the same calls. If you have comcast voice go online and block their number.

Caller stated he was George Smith from the VFW solicatating donations for calling cards for our GI's in Iraq and Afghanistan. Told him to send someone to my house, in uniform, with the proper ID and I will give.  I checked with my local VFW and they DO NOT do this, so this is a scam and a good one.  While I support our troops and do give to my local VFW, etc. I will NOT fall for a scam like this.

They call all times of the day   doesn't matter dont' know who they are since they don't say a freakin word.  Kinda tired of it.  Don't people have better things to do than bother people?

got a call he asked for a barbara (i think) flankenstein?  for crying out loud, i repeated frankenstein?  no, flankenstein.  anyway, something about collecting money for disabled paralyzed veterans.  he said they send decals, etc... when you donate.  i didn't have the $10.00 minimum he said i could pledge with a credit card/visa or mastercard.  then stated the next amount was $20.00 that i could pay the first of the month.  so "supposedly" i will get the decals and whatever else this gentleman mentioned in the mail along with the sheet to make a donation.  he also stated that the donation was tax deductible and that paperwork would be enclosed as well.  shall see.

These calls are a fraud.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT VERIFY IT. They are a credit card scam group. The reason those numbers are not a full phone number is that they are most likely using SKYPE or some other internet phone service to place their calls. If it sounds like they have your info, get a voice authorization note put on your ssn through the credit comapanies
