I received this auto-dial to my cell phone (illegal).

The recorded message begins, "Hi guys, this is Rick Johnson." Rick's recorded message continues to talk about getting you out of debt in four or five years at low interest. Then you're supposed to press 1 to be connected.

I pressed 1. I was connected to "Dana." Our conversation was thus:

Dana: "Who am I speaking with."
Me: "Jesse. Who am I speaking with?"
Dana: (pause) "We're Debt Relief. We lower interest rates on credit cards."
Me: "What's your company's name?"
Dana: "We're an enrollment center."
Me: "What is your company's Web site?"
Dana: "I don't have a website specifically."
Me: "Where are you located?"
Dana then hung up.

I called back the number and it was disconnected. Any legitimate company would be willing to answer the above questions, it seems to me. Scam alert.

I just received a phone call similar to the one above on my cell phone. I wasnt given the option to press "1" to talk to someone or to have my number removed from their calling list. The recorded message sounded like a live person was talking... It went on to say things like "Im just calling you back from our conversation last week about reducing your debt..." and "Make sure you call me back (no number given to call back, though) so we can get you set up on one of great plans...".

I received this phone call.  Don't know where it came from..About reducing interest..Said it was the last courtesy call...I have no idea where it came from..

the number is 810-636-5254...If you get a phone call just let it go to voice mail...

Just got same VM, and my number is on the DO NOT CALL list....wait til I get more info on them, they are reported!!!!!

I recieved a message from this # on my company issued cell phone.  They left a message saying they were calling me back to lower my interest rate and this would be the "last" courtesy call.  I tried to resend to the above mentioned #810-636-5254 and I got a "# disconnected" message.  This reeks of a scam.  How can a person get them reported and stopped?  Some folks might actually fall for this and respond....

I got the same message listed above.  I pressed 1 and waited to speak with someone.  A "Christina" answered the phone.  I informed Christina that whatever list I was on I demanded I be taken off of.  I heard nothing but silence.  Christina had hung up.  This has got to be a scam.  How do we report this?

same thing just happened to me...except  in the voice mail they left , they pretended I called them last week! lol!

I was extremely lucky I couldn't reach the phone in time and it did just that. I guess the scam is finding working cell numbers? The area  code is for Mich.

I've just got the same voice mail, too. Do not call back the number they mention. This is just a scam to get info about your credit card(s).

I agree with you.  Try reporting it to the FCC. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm   I just got this call at 5:00 on my house phone and it is an unpublished number.  It displayed the same 810-636-5254 on my caller id.  The answering machine picked it up and she started out with the same ?Hi guys? and not a name.  She went on to say something about how she was returning my call about lowering my credit card interest rate.  She didn?t even say which credit card company she was with.  Then gave me an 888 number to call back and also said that this was the last courtesy call.  My husband received a similar call on his cell phone voice mail a couple of weeks ago.  Definitely sounds like they are phishing for personal information.

I just received a call from this number as well about 10min ago. People were reporting almost the exact same thing here:

I just let the call go to my Voicemail and it ended up being some lady acting as if she was returning a call I had made.
