I disagree.  Keeping them on the line for as long as you can keeps them from making other call. As you said, "they get paid by the call and time spent."  If they spend 3,5,9 minutes per call and no sale, they'll be fired.  Yes, I know that someone else will be sitting in the seat within an hour, but if enough of us keep doing it, word gets around that this place isn't worth working for.  Plus, I like to mess with their heads.  It's a great form of entertainment.

I get calls all the time from that number and I looked the number area code and it came from Montana
I never answer calls that I don't know the person ... they never leave a message ... I figure if its important they will leave a message ha ha ha on them .....

Didn't get to the phone in time to answer, and they left no message.

Had a call from this number at 8:00 this evening.  They hung up when the answering machine picked up.

I got a call from this number this morning but didn't answer it.  They didn't leave a message.

We are on the No Call List and still get calls from this number.  When will they stop.  I have blocked the number but they just keep calling.

I get 1-2 calls a day from 406-414-7227, in Bozeman, MT. It's the same as everyone above has already said; 65 or older, yada, yada, yada...

9:30 AM 9/12/13.  Silence.

Called 9/10 @ 11:08 a.m. - no one on the line
Called 9/3 @ 9:56 a.m. - no one on the line
Called 8/28 @ 4:06 p.m. - no one on the line
Called 8/28 @ 11:22 a.m. - no one on the line
Called 8/27 @ 3:05 p.m. - no one on the line

Being on the No Call list for state and national can't stop it.  Very Frustrating!

09-06-2013 @ 10:53 AM, 406-414-7227, UNKNOWN NAME = Call came in while I was gone, and wife didn't answer it, recognizing it as a scammer.  They didn't leave a message.  This is same outfit that called us on 08-27-2013 @ 2:46 PM.  Search of internet reveals call coming out of Billings/Bozeman, Montana area.  Scammers all the way.  I wish they'd put a special button on phones that you could press and blow up the scammers phones in their face.  I like Gunnar's response to Internet Scanner.  Right on, Gunnar!

I just got two calls from this number less than a minute apart.

keep getting calls from Bozeman Montana about every evening. wish they would stop.

You are not wasting their time.  YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME.  tHEY GET PAID BY THE CALL AND TIME SPENT.  Wake up and read the AARP newsletters and watch the scam notices on the news.  A locasl lady pressed # 1 and ended up owing the alarm company almost  $6000.  Just try to gey it back.  Also ther do not call kist does not work. People claming to be from a non-profit, bank, credit card company political organization can call.  Just think abaout it as you are wasting your time with the next person--how does someone in Michigan know that a person in Missouri put their name on the do not call list, as people are doing 24/7.  NEVER ANSWER A CALL FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW OR FROM A SO CALLED CHARITY.  iF THEY DON'T LEAVE A MESSAGE THEY ARE A FRAUD. OR IT WASN;T IMPORTANT.  Once you answer one of these calls it tells the computer that the number the computer just called is a valid working number and you will get MORE calls.  If you are so brilliant as to answer one of these robo0calls and press a button or hold on the line to talk to the JUST W A I T.  THOUSANDS OF CALLS ARE COMING YOUR WAY.YOU WILL FIND OUT HOW THE DO NOT CALL LIST WORKS.

Just called my cell.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  Going from the above information...I am not 65, nor anywhere near it.

Said if we are over 65  we may be eligible for.vouchers?....worth $3000 and ...a medical alert.....My husband pushed 1 to see how much of their time he could waste, but no one came on the line. The last time we talked to a medical alert company, he wasted 30 minutes with bogus info, the supervisor was extremely angry, but promised to not call if we would stop giving bogus info. Of course, we wouldn't have to if they wouldn't call in the first place, violating the DONOTCALL list. I don't know if this is the same company with a different spoofed phone number or not.
