I just block calls from numbers I don't recognize.

A solicitation to lower credit card rates. Very annoying and should be stopped.

Same as other guy.... mailbox for Jason Scott (or whatever - accent), which is full. Called 1:48 P PDT 4.24.14

This caller is Card Member Services... the scam callers are still around because the FTC/FCC lets them. The caller sounded like a Pakistani taxi driver.
It is now blocked using a computer I dedicated as an answering machine and software called "CallClerk". CallClerk doesn't have a limitation on the number of blocked callers like the Digitone call blocker of the Panasonic phones with built in call blocker. CallClerk will also act as telephone answering machine and record incoming messages. It just requires a dedicated computer with a modem that can pass caller ID info.
No I do NOT work for the company. I am just a satisfied customer spreading the word.

Credit card scam.
Call went like this.
Robo message: ...blah, blah, blah.
Press one to speak to a friendly representative.
I press 1.
Rep: Hi. Are you holding to blah, blah, blah.
Me: NO. I'm holding to say remove me from your call list. [click from their end as they hang up in the middle of me talking] I'm on the Do Not Call list.
Clearly this scam telemarketing group, like most of their crook friends now, has no intention of honoring the do Not Call List. Also they teach their scammers to hang up on people requesting to be removed from their calling list.

Bought an air horn at Gander Mountain approved for a 60 foot and above boat. It hurts your ears big time. Those idiots at Credit Services called and got an earful. They rarely call now. Paybacks a bi***!

Great advice. However, the acts of calling back or forwarding the call also tells scammers that your phone number is valid. It's tempting to want to get revenge, but know that you may be escalating your volume of unwanted calls.

Received call from this number and answered because the caller ID said "Flint, MI" and I know persons in Flint. Received a very threatening message stating that I have ignored them and this is the final contact before my credit card file is closed." If this were a legit call, the message would have stated that my card or account was pending closure, not a file.
Message is designed to create a sense of urgency without blatantly lying on tape. So I hung up and wrote this report.

I didn't answer, but caller ID said FLINT....(MI, likely), and
it's the "card services" people who want to offer you a
better card rate, blah, blah....
I just add the number to my blocking program and that's it!

Just the number on the caller ID. Never call these numbers back or push 1. It tells them that it's a working number to which they will keep calling or sell to other scammers. I let my fax machine answer in hopes that it tells their robo dialer that it's a nonworking number. Thanks for the idea of forwarding calls back to their number. Might try forwarding to any of the hundreds of spoofed numbers I have written down.
Google callerID4u.com for more interesting reading. As long the phone companies are in cahoots with .coms/scammers like this, these calls will never end.

I just set my phone to automatically forward calls from this number back to their own number :-)

Why am I getting calls from unknown numbers, and telemarketers? I am on the "do not call list".
Call was from Flint, MI. I didn't answer.

Called and left no message. Called back and Patricia or Tricia (something like that) answered offering a better credit card rate. I asked her not to call any more and she said "You should just turn your phone off you idiot!" and hung up. My phone ringer IS off not that I had a chance to tell her that. My wife tried to call back to tell her off and got Jason somebody's voice mailbox that was FULL. She's pretty mad and is going to keep calling to try to give them a piece of her mind.Wouldn't want to be them.

Received a call from these folks, and called it back. It is the mailbox for Jason Scott, who has a Hindi accent it seems. I have called back ten times , because I want to f*** with them.

This is a robo call for lowering credit card interest rates.

No identifying name on number.
I picked up the phone, which was probably a mistake. I waited and no one spoke. I said hello and eventually a recorded voice came on as I hung up. Probably an illegal caller.
