I am on the do not call list as well, The company gets your phone number from facebook.

I got a call from this number .  Since I did not recognize the number, I did not answer the phone.  I have voice mail but they did not leave a message.  I am on the do not call list.

I've never had anything financed, but recently began getting calls from this number and from Vonage services.  It's driving me crazy!!!  I answer and get hung up on.  How did they get my darn number???  Ugh!

When I called them back it was spring leif ..  We bought a bed through American General and it was transferred to the spring leif.  They have called from 530am saturday to 930 pm through out the week.  Very RUDE!

I receive this call at 8am. I call the number back about 11a. It is Spirngleaf Finacial. I spoke with a young lady I told her I know that this call is being recorded on her end. I ask her not to call this number., if we need a loan we would go to our local office. I ask her if that was ok with her she yes and would remove our number. Sometimes you just to be nice but firm to get what you want....Try it.

creat a file on your computer through Excell  with column titles of  Day    Date    Time    Phone Number    Who Called
Note on there whether it was a Sunday or Holiday etc.     track how often these people call you.  check for a pattern for harassing you and if you are taking to court  make sure that you have a copy of the USC code  title 15   where it says harassing phone calls.   If they want to push to garnish your pay or whatever  tell them in front of the judge that you can prove harassment and that you are willing to have your phone records pulled for evidence.     They can be made to pay all of your bill plus extra  there is a fine that these companies have to pay for harassing you.  Check out  USC  code  title 15

quit calling my number and hanging up

this company or person has a very intimadating voice and said to take notice that I have been "SERVED"!!  He said that there were multiple charges against me in Texas!!  He said they(they who) would be coming to my home to arrest me!!  Well guess what, I live in another state with a different area code number.....This is harrassment personified !!  Don't know who this person is and I don't care....

The number is from Springleaf Financial, they used to be American General. Just tell them when they call to remove you from the call list. All they want to do is get you to upgrade your existing loan to borrow more money from them! I just tell them nicely I work only with the local office since I do not give out my financial information over the phone. When they were American General I had to tell them a few times to take me off the list, since they changed names I have only had to ask once (so far).

Had this # call me a few times... never answered, they never left messages. look it up on google. then saw and realized it is American General Fin. I financed a Bike few month ago. There trying to get you to borrow more money....

If it is a cell phone, my best advice, if you have this option, is to block the number and it will auto reject the call anytime they call. On some phones, it's free.

I get calls from this number to because there is a loan through AmGen. Once you have any business with them, they can keep your contact info to telemarket you. They always send me a list of info they can use and info you can opt out of...the only info you can opt out of, is them sharing your info with non-partners of their institution. This is usually somewhere in your loan information in little type. Almost every loan company who does multiple types of loans has this ability...it sucks, but refinancing or returning merchandise will not help, they can unfortunately use your information as long as they want. I'm sure they push thwir boundaries though.

What a pain i've been getting the calls everyday for weeks and never picked up either since i didnt know # and am on the registry also. so since i was so tired of it i decided to just yahoo # and see what happened. geesh i cant believe this has been going on for so long. I will not finance through them or reccommend anyone else ever

Received call today @ 12:19 pm PT.  I do not wish to receive calls from this # anymore.

This number calls me all the time, 9 out of 10 times I just hit ignore on my cell phone.  The few times I have picked up and they try to get me to take on another loan.  I used American General to receive a 0% interest loan at Ashley furniture.  I will never buy furniture from Ashley or use American General ever again.

Just as an FYI...American General Finance is a subsidiary of AIG.  This company can't even manage their own finances and they are bugging me to use them for loans...this is UNREAL.

I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

last called 10-15-2008 shows as an Indiana call  no name.  Bought furniture from Lifestyle furniture and have gotten nasty with  them.  call frequently and never leave message on machine

I TOO HAVE RECENTLY FINANCED FURNITURE THROUGH AMERICAN GENERAL FINANCE. I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN THE FIRST BILL YET, AND AM ALREADY GETTING PHONECALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. I AM ALSO ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO STOPPING THESE CALLS????

I am glad to learn this is the finance company, but they call my cell EVERY DAY.  I don't answer calls from people I don't know, and am also on the do not call list.  I just financed furniture with American Furniture Warehouse through them, interest free.  I'll continue to ignore them.  If it's important, they'll leave a message.

Yes I used them to Finance furniture thru Jermoes furniture In San Diego. They keep calling to extend credit to buy more furniture. So If they called you you probably bought some furniture or other stuff In the past.

this number calls several times a day even after we told them that we do not want any loans from them. They even call at 8 AM on Saturdays. I wish they would stop calling.

I also financed furniture through Batista Furniture in Parma, Ohio for the twelve months no interest deal.  The first time they called I asked them to not call my cell phone again.  I also called American General and asked them not to call my cell again, if they did I would consider this harassment and it would be reported. This was in December of 2007.  I had not heard from them until today, the call came through my cell phone but I was not sure who it was until I checked out this website which ironically was listed in the Cleveland Plain Dealer today.

call and ask for a friend who does not live with me.  They try to be tricky by telling me they are doing a survey and ask if there is and adult over 18 and a specific gender(the gender they are trying to track).

These guys are a joke! They call me religiously. As others report, they leave no voice mail. I in return never call back.
